We had Cannon Plumbing replace a tank water heater with a tankless type. My overall experience…read moreworking with them was pretty terrible. The owner Connley talked to me on the phone before the project, took all the information and sent me an estimate for a condensing type tankless water heater. The estimate was higher than others I had received, but a building/restoration contracting company I was working with recommended Cannon, so I took their word for it and went with them. From start to finish, the job took longer than anticipated and communication was poor. I get that tradespeople may get stuck in a job resulting in other jobs getting delayed. But I expect proactive communication to let me know when they are going to be several hours late or no show up at all. I felt like Connley and Cannon Plumbing just took my time for granted and didn't think it was important to keep me informed if they weren't going to show up. And to top it all, I discovered after the job was complete that the tankless heater model they installed was one that was several hundred dollars cheaper than the one they had indicated in the estimate as well as the final invoice at job completion. I brought it to Connley's attention in early January. He promised someone will contact me to make this right. Given my priori experience with them, I wasn't holding my breath. It's now been over 3 months, and still there has been no attempt to get this corrected. I would not recommend Cannon Plumbing to anyone.

Was a big mistake! As the plumbers arrived, I told them that I've already tried to reset the pilot a few times so the gas valve may need replacement. The plumbers who showed up had NO EXPERIENCE WITH BRANDON WHITE WATER HEATERS. They spent 15 mins reading the instructions on how to reset the pilot, which took me (a non-professional) 5 mins looking at a YouTube video (thanks YouTube!). Then they decided to drain the water for some reason that took another 30 mins. At this point, I had to ask them why aren't they able to diagnose what the problem is? Guess what their recommendation was - YOU NEED A NEW WATER HEATER which will cost you $3,200. They charged me $230 ($65 trip fee + $165 hourly fee) to tell me I need a new water heater!! Here's a heads-up about Demoss Plumbing--honestly, it felt more like "Dumass" Plumbing in my…read moreexperience. My insurance company sent them to test my plumbing system for leaks, and they reported no issues with the pressure or drain side. At the time, I didn't know much about the test they were supposed to do. They were paid to perform a hydrostatic test, but it turns out they did a flow test instead. For a hydrostatic test, they're supposed to pull a toilet--which they claimed they did in my guest bathroom, even saying they replaced the wax ring. But the original reusable rubber ring I installed years ago was still there, unchanged.Because of their report, my insurance denied my coverage. During their flow test, they also lost their test ball and mentioned they might need to dig up my yard to retrieve it. Fortunately, they got it out from the street cleanout. Since then, I've paid two other plumbers out of pocket, and both said Demoss's test was done incorrectly. One confirmed the toilet was never pulled, as they had to replace the bolts when they did it themselves and found my original rubber ring still in place. Despite this, my insurance won't cover anything because Demoss's report says they pulled the toilet.I contacted Demoss to ask if they'd correct their report, given the evidence they didn't do the proper test. They brushed it off, saying the other plumbers were just trying to discredit them--even though I didn't mention any names. The person I spoke to, James, said they wouldn't amend their statement, regardless of what happened with the toilet. Now I'm stuck with a $35,000 plumbing bill, and despite fighting with my insurance, they won't budge because of Demoss's report. I hope sharing this helps someone avoid the same frustration and months of back-and-forth with their insurance. If your insurance sends Demoss out, I'd strongly suggest getting a second opinion.
