He listened and addressed my concerns. Leading up to the date of surgery, the office called me several times to confirm and go over all instructions. I was very nervous the day of surgery and the staff and doctor put me at ease. I had IV sedation which made the procedure very comfortable. I left the office with clear and conscience instructions. The follow up instructions are very detailed telling me what to do throughout the day. Dr Gulati called me the evening of my surgery and staff called the following day. When we finally connected, Dr. Cohen questioned why my son hadn't come in earlier and said he could see him Monday. He suggested a local oral surgeon near my son's school, but that office was closed. We had to rely on urgent care and hospital staff for help. My son ended up in the hospital for 5 days. During that time, no one from the office checked on him, and when I spoke with Dr. Cohen, he mentioned phone problems and being busy moving over the weekend. He also said we should have gone to a hospital where he had privileges, which we were never told about. While complications can happen after surgery, the lack of responsiveness, professionalism, and compassion from this office was unacceptable. I cannot recommend this practice.

So when it came time for an extraction, I went into flight mode but avoidance was just causing more pain. Luckily, Dr Anderson had such a calming demeanor, and they offered sedation, that I was okay. After a kind assistant named Kelly, held my hand (don't judge) I drifted off to sleep only to awake to a sore mouth but the infected tooth gone. Now, this is no fairy tale, it hurt after the anesthesia and numbing wore off but the experience was good and I felt like I was in good hands with Dr Anderson and staff. So much so that I went back for an implant!
