I made an appointment with dr Healy because I was in SO much pain it was unbearable. Despite being terrified of the procedure and dentists in general I slowly made my way into the office. Dr Healy was amazing. He was very confident that he would not only take away my pain but make sure the procedure was painless as well. There were some rough spots but it was to be expected. I was in bad shape to begin with. I'm glad I made the decision to see him and he even called me the next day to see how I was doing and to remind me to make sure I take ibuprofen and my penicillin around the clock. Hopefully I'll never need another root canal again but if I do I know who I'm coming to see!!

Cash payment He did xrays and gave us a huge estimate for an extraction which was the diagnosis he came up with. He preferred cash and landed with us on half the price for a cash deal. We venmoed him the money and he assured that he'll do a excellent write up so we can recuperate our payment. Procedure He was extremely rough with extraction so much so that my head was moving from side to side during extraction. Xrays after procedure taken at another clinic show the bone wall busted and major trauma and destruction on the location because it was done violently. (He overnums you so so you wouldn't feel the distruction during procedure) After procedure He would not take calls to send us medication. He finally sent it after two days. He didn't send us the bill nor trays he took during our visit.

But, after you enter wearing your mask, they give you gloves to wear. Each room has an air purifier with ultraviolet light. A standard cleaning involves a little bit extra work than before. You're first given a sealed container of mouthwash, since this will get rid of any bacteria on the surface before they begin. They stopped using a spit sink a long time ago, so they use suction to extract the mouthwash when you are done. Since it had been a while (too long!) since my last checkup, they also took X-rays, which are always more involved here than at other places. Instead of the standard 360 X-ray, they also do targeted X-rays of your teeth from various angles. Then, they did an inspection of the gumline around each tooth, and gave it a rating from 1 to 5. Three spots were checked on the front and three spots were checked on the back of each tooth. As you can imagine, the appointments take quite a long time. But, they're worth it. They find cavities as they are forming, so they can be monitored for future work. And the technology that they employ, plus the expertise of their people, means that they don't miss anything. And, everything is handled very professionally, and the people here are also very friendly. They are the gold standard for dentist offices.

The most recent time they recommended changing a front crown and recommended a teeth whitening first. I am disappointed by the teeth whitening results. They didn't give me options, and signed me up for the Boost option. In retrospect, I wish I hadn't just trusted their opinion and asked for all of the options. It was more expensive than others, but it was painful (mostly because they did not have the smaller version of the contraption to keep my mouth open and my mouth was stretched open for an hour in a size that was too big for my mouth) and I notice very little difference in my teeth appearance. I have honestly noticed more of a change when I have done Crest White strips, for a fraction of the cost. They are mostly nice, but ever since my first trip there (which was during a day that they seemed to be getting reviewed as I was shadowed by a manager of sorts) it seems like they are less attentive to details. For example, on my last trip as I was getting my teeth cleaned the dental hygienist noticed something on my teeth, but couldn't show the dentist because the dentist had left for the day.
