The staff each time I have gone have been very friendly. The volunteers at the information booth were also very kind and say things to get us laughing. When I did a blood draw, the process was really quick and efficient to include friendly staff. When it came to my physician in Clinic 16, she was wonderful and listened to all my concerns and addressed them. The worst part was radiology which wasn't bad considering the circumstances. They treat a lot of people in there, so the 1-hour wait was understandable. They apologized for the wait time which was nice. The upside on this was that when I was done with my x-ray my prescriptions were ready. I will say the mental health building hallway on the first floor looks very depressing as I walked through it to my destination. Many people give the VA a bad rap but they have treated me great and I am sure they have improved over the years.

I will not be returning to this medical facility and will not recommend Kaitlyn to anyone. I do not deserve to be treated less than or talked to like I am an idiot. Moreover, I witnessed my wife's distress during her stay, experiencing panic attacks and discomfort from being separated from me, her advocate. My CT showed severe advancing degenerative disc disease and the radiologist recommended an urgent MRI. The ER refused to admit me, refused to order the recommended MRI, refused an orthopedic consult, and falsely documented my reason for visit as social work rather than acute injuries. I was discharged unsafely as a disabled homeless patient despite being unable to walk without assistance. I did not sign my discharge papers because I did not agree it was safe. My walking cane was lost by the facility and despite contacting guest services, no one has made any effort to locate it. The level of disregard for a seriously ill disabled patient was shocking. I will be filing complaints with the Texas Medical Board, Disability Rights Texas, and pursuing further action. I do not recommend this facility to anyone who is disabled or seriously ill and needs to be taken seriously.

As someone who works in medicine, I can attest that these physicians, and physicians assistants are fantastic. As a young adult with a complicated medical history, it's been hard to find doctors that take my pain and symptoms seriously. They are great about listening, and coming up with treatment options without needing endless imaging and tests. Their lab is also great, and has never even left a bruise after a blood draw. The front desk receptionists are fantastic and very responsive. The best part is how quickly they get you referrals to specialists when needed.
