Two guys from this company made a huge mess, leaving nails and debris in the alley. I drove by to get to my house, the only way for me to get home, and one of their roofing nails punctured the sidewall of my front tire. Immediately after driving by and arriving home I noticed the nail. I walked back to the garage later on and found another one of the EXACT SAME roofing nails that I found in my tire, so don't tell me it wasn't your nail! I drive an AWD Subaru and the tire couldn't be patched, so I was required to buy a set of 4 new tires. I was told that they would pay for 1/2 of the expense, but this happened a month ago and I still haven't seen anything. Can't get a hold of anybody in the company whenever I call and it sounds like the owner doesn't come in for long periods of time. Maybe if they did, things like this wouldn't happen. $800.00 down the drain because of this company's negligence and inability to clean up after themselves. Unprofessional and unresponsive- take your business somewhere else! Take accountability and compensate me for the damage you caused! UPDATE: The owner of this company, Steve, agreed to pay for part of the four tires, but not until I take this post down and come in to sign paperwork that I won't post bad reviews about the company. They were soliciting door to door (as other companies). The representative (initials AH? see photo)…read moreinitiated the roof claim with my spouse. At the end of the claim report, he asked my spouse to sign an "Insurance Repair Contract." He said since they did the work of getting the claim submitted that it would be fair and proper to have them complete our work. No other company has tried this tactic. He also mentioned that if we signed that "contract" and went with another company, they would sue us for their loss of work. The only way to void the contract was if we completed the work on our own. We discussed our deductible with him. He stated they would bill USAA for the total claim, we could decline SMA doing some of the easier repair work, we could then repair it or not repair it ourselves, and keep the money they would've been paid and use it for the deductible. I confirmed with our insurance representative that it would be considered insurance fraud. In addition, if we didn't repair the work and more damage happened in the future, we would be liable to pay for that damage out-of-pocket if we didn't complete the initial repair (with proof) within 1 year of the claim date. They have not written an estimate and won't be allowed back as I don't have the time or money to deals with legal issues from them or from what they tell us.

Second, and more impressively, they replaced a door that had rotted out at the bottom where the person who built it initially did not do it correctly. It was a 2 day job but they had the door replaced day 1 so that we did not have to go a night without a locked door which was important to us as we have kids. They even came in under quote, which was an added bonus!

If you have had siding installed from Elk River Exteriors beware. You may have been told there is…read morea warranty on it. They do not warranty due to their faulty installation. This is a complaint for siding issue that I filed with the installer July 28th of 2022 for what are called nail pops on my siding. They are visible on three sides of the house. East, West, and South. No nail pops on the North side of the house. When I contacted the installer, they told me that I needed to file a warranty claim against the maker of the siding. (I also sent Elk River exterior photos of the siding.) Elk River Exterior claimed it was a problem with the siding. So I filled out a warranty form and sent pictures to the manufacturer (PLY GEM). Also the owner of Elk River Exterior came and took pictures of the problem and sent to Ply Gem. After much time of going back and forth with the manufacture (Ply Gem) and the Installer (Elk River Exteriors), the manufacture of the siding (Ply Gem) finally sent a Technical Service Representative to inspect the siding in April. His response to the (Nail Pops) was found to be the direct result of improper installation techniques or practices. Some of the discrepancies noted but not limited to include *Nailing at end of nail slots *Nails protruding * Nails from nail hem causing heat buildup/water retention between the panel and fastener. * Nailed to tight, nails at opposite ends of nails, and /or panels that were not given proper clearance to expand as temperatures varied. Ply Gem encouraged us to contact the company that installed siding. But Elk River Exteriors still insist that it is a manufacturing issue with the siding and as of June 19th, 2023 I received a voicemail from the Owner of Elk River Exterior that they will not be correcting the issue.
