We needed food after a long hike and headed to Fish Taco because it was nearby. I decided on the elote and the chicken rice bowl. Both were excellent! They gave me hot sauce with the bowl and that was also really spicy and flavorful. If I'm in the area again, I'd definitely go back for tacos. The service was quick and friendly, the music was pretty good, and there are lots of tables inside and outside.

Went here for dinner because the hubby wanted to try this location. The parking is very limited and tight. We came a bit early before the dinner rush started so we got a parking spot but when we left, we noticed the lot was full and cars were roaming around looking for spots. Busy location so I was surprised they didn't have more parking. If you go, I would plan to arrive early or look for street parking. The staff are pretty nice. I also like that their tables are pretty spacious. We ordered quesadilla, tacos, and ceviche. Everything was delicious!

This is a great spot for a quick and affordable bite in Potomac. We went after a hike on the Billy Goat trail just down the road, and sat outside on the patio. Everyone working there is friendly & service minded, even though it's a counter order environment. I ordered the blackened fish tacos. You have a choice of beans & rice or a salad (which is lettuce & pico). The sauce on the tacos was out of this world, I'd go back just for the sauce. Really great tacos. If you love spicy, ask for a side of hot sauce, it is spicccyy, and flavorful. Parking can be a little tight if it's crowded, but the 2 times I've gone, I've always found a spot within a couple minutes.

I wanted to like this place and add it to my list of places to frequent in my neighborhood, but the three bones inside my blackened fish taco and the overall unremarkable gringo tacos really disappointed. I tried the blackened fish taco and shrimp taco platters, one with rice and beans, the second with salad. Ingredients seemed fresh enough, the black beans and rice were pretty good, and the salad was fine. The blackened fish had a good smoky flavor but could have used salt and acid. The salsa side is quite punchy so test it out before applying liberally though I love some heat. They really need to debone that fish though. The shrimp were pretty tender but I found the sauce on top too heavily poured. Finally but critically the tortillas lack flavor. There's both outdoor and indoor seating and there's a fair amount of parking in the lot though it can get crowded. I'm not itching to return though, I must say.

Perfect quick and filling bite after hiking the Great falls! This place is a fast casual restaurant and they make your order fast and bring it to your table There's plenty of seating inside and a few tables set up outside! My friend and I sat outside to enjoy the fresh air. I got the citrus pork carnitas tacos and I was pleasantly surprised that the 2 tacos were packed with carnitas! I also loved that the heaping pile of chopped onions and bright salsa verde complimented the carnitas so well. Warning: the little container of red salsa is very spicy! I enjoyed eating the red sauce with the rice and black beans. Everything was perfectly seasoned for me! Next time I come to NoVa I definitely want to stop by this place!

Great quick and causal taco place! I ordered the blackened fish tacos which were really tasty. The pineapple salsa especially added a nice touch, with a well-balanced sweet flavor. It came with rice and beans on the side which were good, not great. Service was incredibly fast

When I walked into this place I thought, oh, another chain Mexican place, the food will be just so-so but boy was I wrong! I ordered the ancho shrimp rice bowl. I wish I had ordered, like 10 of them! The meal was outstanding. the flavors of everything in the bowl just really complimented each other for a taste sensation! I know that sounds so cheesy but it's the truth! I would have given a 5 star rating but the staff is not that friendly nor helpful but their food makes up for the lack luster customer service. In my picture it's almost gone and I am so sad faced!

What can I say about Fish Taco? It's just consistently beenthe best taco place in the area for many years, and clearly they're doing something right because they keep opening new locations. Super high quality no matter what you order (but the namesake seafood tacos are always great).

I will give 5 stars for the days of yore. For the sake cups…read moreraised And nights at the sushi bar. I will say a toast for the freshest fish And for the stories of the days When the chef reeled them in I will wave my chopsticks For the long-time locals lined up On their nights, they were nice enough I will raise an Ichiban For my servers working hard And for the nights ushered in To the back sushi bar I figured a sea shanty for one of my all-time favorite sushi restaurants was in order. Because you know, they are serving raw fish and those fish are caught by fishermen. If you love sushi, I'm fairly certain you cannot go wrong at Tachibana McLean. It's hard to believe the years I spent here might have been a part of the glory days at Tachibana. When they lost their Itamae and were weathered by covid lockdowns, I think the pace of service changed. But the quality of food never has and I've enjoyed every meal here before and since. This is a classic sushi restaurant so you will not get any sort of innovative fusion rolls here. What you will get is a strict adherence to old school tradition and a focus on quality that is worth a visit. It's hard to say favorite dishes because there are so many delicious choices here. If you are sitting at the main sushi bar, you first may enjoy a free gift of whatever the Ittamae is featuring. If you like that fish, then order more of it. For sushi and sashimi, get what you enjoy here because it's fresh and lovely. Do not miss the Philadelphia rolls here because they are extra creamy and the scallions make them a real delight. I also love the New York roll and the spicy tuna and spicy salmon rolls. Back in the day, my go-to was a spicy, crunchy salmon roll. This was always a special request but they humored me since I was a regular. I was also forever asking for a very thin slice of jalapeño in my tuna roll but you could only get that in the less-friendly and ambient sushi cafe down the street. Years later, times have changed and you can now order jalapeños, as well as tempura crumbs and spicy mayo on any roll. They have so many vegetarian rolls here, as well, so that is a whole experience if choose. You can order Japanese pickles, fermented soybean and scallion rolls, a plum and shiso roll, a gourd roll, a cucumber roll and an avocado roll. I so enjoy a big plate of veggie and shrimp tempura here. The tempura batter is not thick and just right. I also have very much liked the katsu's here: either crispy Berkshire pork loin or crispy chicken. It's an old familiar taste which you should not miss out on. The bento dinner boxes are also awesome. I usually get salmon, beef negimake, shrimp and veggie tempura, shumai dumplings and salmon sashimi. A delightful treat. The buckwheat noodles and udon soups are a bit plain and while they are classically good, i more enjoy the sushi. As for the cold sake, I recommend: the Shochikubai Nigori, the Junmai Ginjo and the cloudy pearl junmai if it's on hand. They also have Choya plum wine and a beer and wine list. You will love the green tea presentation in the gorgeous pottery, as well as that they are diligent on tea refills. Their desserts are nice but make sure you at least taste green tea ice cream once. You can get it here! It's not easy to find this at restaurants, even sushi restaurants, recently.

It had been a while since I came here after coming here a few times while growing up in McLean…read more Lots of famous people come by allegedly so I hoped the food would deliver. I went with a spicy scallop roll and the tonkotsku ramen. I'd recommend just sticking with sushi, which was awesome. Ramen was just average unfortunately. Service was also quite slow- we were waiting almost an hour for our food. It was very busy, to be fair.
