This is a solid, fast-casual spot for Hawaiian food! I ordered the Korean Fried Chicken plate, and…read morereplaced the rice with their salad (mac salad+rice is kind of heavy for me personally!) The chicken is crispy, and the sauce is so yummy- both sweet and savory! The mac salad is flavorful, but the texture is slightly softer than I like. The workers are also super friendly here, and service is fast! The price is a little steep, but the portion size is generous enough where I mind it too much. One thing to note is that they do not have water on tap, only for sale- I recommend bringing a water bottle if you do not plan on getting a real drink from them!

Soooo I came to this place when it first opened . Amazing family from Maui opened it. You walked in…read moreto island music, island vibes and the food took me right back to my Hawaiian vacation. It became a spot we went to often . Over the years I had not been , realized I needed that island vibes today..... It's been a couple years since I have been here... there were two types of music playing when I arrived : today's hits and mariachi playing over eachother at the exact same time. Service : the three ladies working the front were amazing very kind and helpful. I ordered Garlic shrimp with rice and mac salad The shrimp was slightly over cooked but the sauce was pretty good and the garlic sauce was on the rice and the Mac salad was great . Shrimp Gets a 4/5 rice 4/5 and mac salad 4/5 Sausage Masubi No Masubi sauce on it ....rice was fine... sausage was so over cooked it was actually shriveled up little piece not even a big slice of sausage . Basically the texture of pepperoni. No sauce again... dry and tasteless so I tossed it 0/5 Kalbi ribs (picture ) One of my favorite dishes . The picture is how my ribs came (I had not eaten one ounce of meat off them) because there was no meat. The marinade was not what it used to be but it was sweet and savory so that's fine. They were def marinated . The one rib I could get meat off was so hard and chewy and dry... Now In Hawaii they have ribs hanging above the stove that are not always the grill type. they are almost air dried, and heat cooked but they are tender and have meat on the bones . This was not that. I usually never return food it has to be bad but I was not paying for meat that didn't exist and beef jerky . The ladies up front worked their handsets to get me a refund (they had to call their boss to try and figure it out ). I appreciate their great attitude and time . Not sure I actually got a refund In The end of all of it, but that's ok they tried. 0/5 on the ribs I don't know if anyone knows if this place is under different management or ownership since when they opened... but it has taken a huge dive. I'm sad. The average stars for everything is 2.5

The food was beautifully presented, incredibly delicious, and honestly one of the highlights of our wedding. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful and special. This wasn't just wedding food. This was EPIC. Chef Andy handled everything from start to finish, which meant my husband and I had one less major thing to worry about on a day when there were about a thousand moving parts. That alone was priceless. He and his team were professional, organized, gracious and simply incredible. I've been to a lot of events over the years, and I always remember the food, especially when it's really good. Kalei's is one I will remember for a very long time. When your guests are still talking about the food days later, you know you chose the right caterer. Thank you, Chef Andy and Khara and the entire Kalei's Kitchenette team, for helping make our wedding so memorable. You didn't just feed our guests. You WOWED them.

I remember dining here when they just opened 3 yrs ago. The resto is small but there is seating inside and outside. The only negative is the parking situation can be tough depending on the time. We did a group order from here at work and I saw poke nachos featured on their front page. When I…read morewent to order through their website, I couldn't find them listed anywhere. My coworker ended up calling in and was able to order it, so that worked out. The wonton chips were crunchy and held up well. The poke tasted fresh and not fishy or old, which I always appreciate. Overall it hit the spot. I ended up finding the restaurant on Uber Eats and saw they actually have the poke nachos listed there. I ordered it that way, but noticed there weren't any options to add extra toppings. From the first time we ordered, I remember the seaweed and crab were on the lighter side, so I wish they had an option to add more online. I called to see if I could add extra, but ended up deciding not to, due to pricing differences. When I my order was delivered, they included it for me anyway, which I appreciated. That was really nice of them. The poke nachos were good. I just wish they would add a little more seaweed and crab or at least give the option to add more of it online. Regardless, I will be back when I'm craving poke nachos again.

There were no signs or documentation posting if they had an emergency or last minute schedule changes. Additionally, our food was ordered to be ready but they did not call or communicate. Terrible customer service and they did not think about their customers, even if they had an emergency to attend to. I'm not sure if I would give them another chance, but right now, first impressions are not looking good at all.
