This company is capitalism at its finest! Every time we came in, the fish would be a different price. Not to mention that the we bought some food there, came back the following day and they upped the price of the exact kind by 20%! Now, I would like to add that I got fish from here, Petco, and petsmart during these last couple of months and all the fish we bought from here have died. Speaking of which, their return policy is just as ridiculous (and being the worst out of the 3 companies) you have 1 week to return your fish if it died, plus you have to prove that you weren't the cause of it dying. Meaning you have to bring ammonia samples and the fish can't be beaten up. Makes sense until you realize that they're the ones telling us what to do with the water! We test the water everyday and if there is anything abnormal we would call here immediately and talk it through with them. Soooo if the water was the cause, then the store was the cause thus providing us a refund on the $200 worth of fish we bought from here. Would also like to add that as he was telling me what to do with the water and setup, there was a dead fish floating right behind him. They told us to never touch the water bc that could mess up the chemical balance, and the sales man put his entire arm into the water to grab the dead fish! Maybe he was the cause of my fish dying. Anyways, you can't tell someone how to take care of their fish, when you can't even take care of your own.

Alabama Fish and Pond

Alabama Fish & Pond in Horton, Alabama is a business that provides fish stocking services for…read moreponds, as well as holding Pond Stocking Fish Days throughout the year at feed stores and co-ops across Alabama, Mississippi, and Georgia. They offer various fish species for stocking, including bass, bream, catfish, and more, and provide advice on maintaining a healthy pond ecosystem. We utilized their services recently as our serene townhome community residents found themselves facing a daunting challenge, the uncontrollable growth of algae in our ponds. Determined to restore the natural balance, the fearless and newly elected Homeowner Association (HOA) president, my beloved honey, spearheaded the quest for a solution. She invested many hours into research, with a little help from yours truly, exploring various methods to combat the stubborn algae. Finally, a promising answer emerged, the introduction of White Amur Grass Carp to the ponds. These fascinating creatures are known for their algae-eating prowess, making them an ideal candidate to tackle the overgrowth. However, as an invasive species, the White Amur Grass Carp had the potential to disrupt the local ecosystem if not managed properly. But my honey's diligence and wisdom prevailed. After extensive consultations with experts, it was decided that these fish, when introduced to the closed system pond, would not pose a threat to the environment. She contacted them, ordered the fish and we picked them up at Robertsdale Feed and Seed on the arranged date and time. We brought those dozen fish back and ceremoniously released them, wished them well and hope we have a mutually rewarding and beneficial outcome. Bottom line: The folks at Alabama Fish & Pond were professional, friendly and very knowledgeable and took great care of our needs.
