On a slightly chilly afternoon with overcast skies and a lot of moisture in the air, we walked and walked and walked. I'm cold and what's the best thing to have on a cold day? SOUP, of course!
I led my friend Klaus-Dieter back to the Carlsplatz market and we got soup with a small glass of white wine. Of course, because he was ordering in German, he managed to pay for our meal. Thank you, my friend.
The bouillabaisse (that's a hard word to spell) was ah-may-zing. Full of big pieces of fish and with a broth that nearly had me licking out the inside of the bowl. Instead, I planned ahead and was able to use the last two pieces of bread to scoop up the last few drops. The wine was dry and delicious, perfect with this fish.
There's just something about dining outdoors and this had it. A delicious meal with great company!
