The nice thing about the medical home is after seeing your provider you may walk into the waiting room and fill your prescriptions at the pharmacy that is in the office. Also if you have kids they have toys in the waiting room. My kids never seem to mind going and have fun playing while they wait. The waiting time for me has always been less than 10 minutes. My only complaint is sometimes appointments are a little difficult to get, but they do have after hours clinic which can be helpful.

My husband and I…read moreboth see providers here and our prescriptions are never refilled on time even when you contact up to a week prior to running out. Insurance won't allow refill until a week prior to running out so you are pretty much guaranteed to run out with this practice. Lord help you if those meds include blood pressure meds, heart meds, insulin, asthma meds, or thyroid medications. They tell you to contact the pharmacy to request refills but they even ignore the pharmacy requests. There should be a tracking system and penalty for hospital systems and providers that do not respond to requests made within 72 hours. That is 3 days folks. If you can't respond in 3 days then you have no business being in this business. We are talking about people's lives at risk.

They say HI! to everyone else though... they also took three and a half weeks to get forms I needed for my child's school filled out for me when they said it would only take 24-48 hours and when they were finished they were still not finished completely. So they said in another 24-48 hours they'll have them ready, but who knows ! I also am new to the area, and see there is a recent bad review from another person who was new to the area- so I want to add, my child is also fully vaccinated, and there wasn't any issues with that. He also is a new patient who I do plan on bringing back regularly - not that that should even matter but, if that is the cause of the animosity, then it shouldn't be. It is tough already being new to an area without everyone being incredibly rude.
