Often what is forgotten by those who benefit from the low/no cost Clinics, is the facilities "Not for profit status". Their is not unlimited resources to provide all the testing, nor all the medical care which the client may need or desire for lo/no cost (unless the client absorbs the extra costs). The revenue which is provided to the clinics, is highly concentrated for the benefit of the patients. Clinics and staff do their best with the resources that are available to them. Curtis V. Cooper and it sister clinics provide patient care to the underinsured and/or uninsured. Patients should be grateful for their assistance in our communities. I have traveled out of the country, and have been treated in hospitals/clinics which resemble 1960s Army hospitals. These countries spend their money on the best medical care possible, and only require a sound and safe building. Their are no T.Vs, limited chairs, grey walls, long waits, and no frills, however state of the art medical equipment (Cat Scans, digital Cardiac Cath Labs, MRIs,laboratory Science etc.) and top notch Doctors & Specialist. Where do you want your healthcare dollars spent? Fancy facilities, or state of the art medical care? I chose the Latter Patient- Curtis V. Cooper Response to previous comment Re: cleanliness I would prefer a clinic which placed their Grant Money where it is most needed; Medical services. Monies wasted on expensive flooring, art work, fancy waiting rooms, is a waste of our healthcare dollars. Patients should be appreciative that they have a medical facility available. Show your gratitude by cleaning up after yourself & children.

They rely on their disastrous Healow system as primary source of communication and it actually…read moreserves as a barrier to effective communication . You have to communicate with a specific provider and you aren't offered anyway to communicate to administrators to express concerns or complaints . In person isn't any better. Horrible waiting times at most offices and the phone line waits are at least as bad. Parking availability is a huge issue at E Broad and at Candler. The Dr's are generally ok once you get to them but the before and after experiences have been just plain bad. And because of the Healow barrier, good luck finding anyone who will listen to complaints or make any effort to improve the customer experience. I'm hoping to find a completely different system.
