Anesha has been instrumental in helping us figure our little guy out--she sends pertinent articles, takes proactive steps with insurance, and gives us honest feedback about his progress. I'm always happy to see a "gold star" day, but honestly those days when he struggles are just as important in determining what helps him the most. Our son isn't the easiest to work with, especially after a long day at school, and she has done a great job in not only winning him over, but in making him excited about what he will learn is speech therapy today. He looks forward to speech days and that's all thanks to Anesha's support. He's doing great, and we are seeing results in other areas of his life--at school, at home, and in sports--all because he is getting the best speech and language service possible. To participate in their very nice baby-boutique you will need to attend their Parenthood classes, so every time you go, you get some vouchers and then you can shop at their location. To apply for their program you will need to make an appointment, go to their facility and pass thru some interviews. If you get approve you good to go. Great parking lot. Nice location. Good nursery room and babysitters so you can calmly pay attention and enjoy the supper that they cook and provide each time it has class. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in need while pregnant. Plus if you are looking for a place to make donations, here is definitely your place to do it. :-)

His staff also ran well over $100 worth of tests on me on my first visit, which they have never reviewed. I did not particularly want the tests to be done, but they insisted this was required for a new patient. Considering that Dr. Hurd never looked at the results of the tests before the manipulation, I seriously doubt they were all that important to the care I was to receive. One positive note was that the staff was always very friendly. I was really hoping for a good outcome, but instead Dr. Hurd really injured me in a fairly serious manner.

DeMarco has been my family's doctor for 10+ years. Located off of South Cobb Drive in Smyrna, in…read morethe Emory-Adventist Hospital (used to be Smyrna General Hospital) office building, Dr. Demarco's office is on the 2nd floor in Suite 206. There are elevators available and plenty of parking in the open lot directly outside the building. DeMarco's assistant Shante is available by phone to make appointments or to get medication refills prescriptions. Upon arrival for your appointment, expect to wait 20-30 minutes. I always bring a book to read since most magazines in the waiting room are months old. The sign in sheet is available at the sign-in window which is built with sliding glass panes that are always kept closed and are tinted to be non-see through. How the staff know when a patient has arrived is anyone's guess. There is no bell or ringer to press and patients are warned not to tap on the non-see through glass. (for fear it will shatter? Or because the staff doesn't want to be disturbed?) Once you sign in and the staff acknowledge you, your records will be checked and any co-pay or changes in insurance will be taken/noted. After that you are in for the long haul, waiting until they call you. Once you are in the patient room, all goes smoothly and quickly. DeMarco comes in within 2 minutes of being in the room, carrying his laptop portable, digital medical records. Then the once-over check begins. After the initial baseline has been established, the more pressing matters (the reason why you are there) are addressed. Listening carefully, DeMarco addresses all concerns and gives his opinions as to how to remedy the illness. After this brief discussion, the visit is concluded satisfactorily and you are released! As a generalist, I can recommend Dr. DeMarco, but for anything serious or specialized you would be better off seeing the ER or a doctor who specializes in that specified medical area. But that is the definition of General Medicine, right?
