I was assigned to him because of the pain that came from my back, linked to my "sciatica". The first 3 visits were fine. I was assigned certain stretches which I continued to do. He continued to tell me I was likely having issues with my sciatica nerve. After about 5 visits my pain wasn't getting better. He continued to stretch out the area of my spine that he thought the pain was coming from. I told him by my 6th visit that I was in a lot of pain. He didn't do anything about it or even offer anything to resolve the pain (massage therapy, other stretches, etc.). This was disappointing since I was already spending so much time and money. During my last 2 visits, we didn't do anything, I complained about my pain and he said there was nothing he could do. He referred me to one of the doctors so I could get an x-ray or an MRI. I ended up going to a different dr because I had a horrible experience here. My new doctor told me I had NO SCIATICA issues, instead it was mild arthritis. I was referred to another PT who has been doing an amazing job at identifying and resolving the pain. Please beware of the people who work at Resurgens-yes, the name is widely known but some of the staff are not as knowledgeable or helpful. Now let's talk about accessing my documents and paperwork-I had to go through circles to get all my paperwork from the PT clinic. I was sent in circles to a third party company they used (my MRI disks didn't even work!!!).

I was assigned to Doug as my PT for IT band syndrome. On the day of my appointment, Doug…read more"evaluated" my pain and said he would return with stretching exercises. He left, was gone a bit, came back and handed me a packet of printed out exercises. I expected that he would go through them with me but instead said he would see me in a week. After looking over the printouts, I asked about one of the stretches which uses a roller and asked if he could show me how to do this one. He searched the clinic for a roller, said it had been a while since he used one, awkwardly demonstrated it, and that was it. I thought he would at least go through every one of the five exercises he gave me but he did not. I was there a total of 26 minutes from the time I walked through the doors until I left. I have since found another PT at a different clinic who has made a world of difference on how I feel. This new PT spent my first visit evaluating my condition, massaging my pain areas, having me do several stretches and sent me home with 1 simple stretch to do twice a day. I am now up to 17 minutes of stretching twice a day and go to him two times a week. Physical Therapy should be just that. Therapeutic. I do not mind going twice a week because I feel so good now. I do not recommend Resurgens for PT.

After 14 months of PT, we've graduated! Colleen was wonderful, advocated for my son, met him where he was and got him where he needed to be. She was tough, and she was exactly what we needed! Highly recommend Colleen and Building Blocks Pediatrics! Free parking, they take insurance, and they offer multiple types of therapies.

It consists of a large room for physical/occupational therapy, a smaller room at the back for ST, and a waiting room with chairs and some books/magazines. Jen is great. She's got a great selection of interactive games to make learning fun. As she has realized what motivates my son, she tailors the activities appropriately. She does crafts with him that he can bring home, and she provides us with extra worksheets for us to do between lessons. After our last experience with ST, it's really nice to have a front office who bills insurance first, then provides one bill at the end of the month for what insurance won't cover. And they can set up auto-debit, sending you a copy of the bill to email. I like that the office and the therapists are separate, so that they can focus on helping my son, rather than dealing with the joys of insurance companies.
