While there are many good things about this particular business in Woodstock, GA, we have lost…read moretrust in their claims to put the child's needs first. Once we started asking questions and asking for things specific to our child's needs, we were told to not return and that all services, ABA, OT and speech were terminated immediately. Each child is different, so each has different needs. Asking for things outside of the standard was met with resistance and eventually an answer of "that is not how we do it." We were asking for the ABA that our child was attached to not be changed as the last changes causes worsened behavioral issues. We were told previusly that the changes were in the best interest of the child. We were also told that the changes were being made by staff that were not part of the child's care team and that did not work with her daily. We let them know that the changes had negatively impacted the child and were told that more changes would be made anyway to get the child accustomed to changes. This is not working for our child and there seems to be little compassion or concern for this child in reguard to this particular request. We offered several different options that would keep the security of the child's trust in her RBT; each was dismissed. They have been providing services for months, and now discontinue all of the services, including speech and OT, because we lack conviction that their forced changes are what is best for our child. We also indicated that we were trying to accept and would communicate with them about behavioral changes after the RBT changes were implemented. I guess we were correct to question, though it was not received well. Know that there is no expectation of privacy when sending emails to one member of the staff. Our/my emails were shared within the business without my knowlege or consent. I believed that the emails I sent to the counselor with information about the child's behaviors at home were private. They were not private and were likely taken out of context to some extent since the emails were in follow up to our "in person" conversations. There does not seem to be good communication between the BCBA, RBT and admin at this location. We would repeatedly need to address the same issue to multiple people in order to be heard. It is very frustrating. Remember that you are the best advocate for your child. It is seems wrong, you are the best person to question it. You do have the right to ask questions, offer suggestions and alternate strategies, and to expect privacy. You are the one that is with your child long after the staff clock out.

During a routine well-child visit, I brought up a health concern regarding my child. I later discovered that addressing this concern resulted in the visit being recoded, generating an unexpected copay. I was never informed during or after the appointment that asking a question would incur additional charges, and I only found out about the outstanding balance months later when attempting to schedule a sick visit. I understand medical coding rules exist, the lack of transparency is frustrating. Parents should be able to discuss health concerns during a checkup without facing hidden fees or feeling like routine care is being prioritized over open communication. Better upfront communication regarding billing policies would go a long way.

Recently, I've needed weekly manual support and dry needling to prepare for an intensive fly fishing trip, and he's been as passionate as me to help me heal and prepare. I've had dry needling with various PTs in Atlanta, and there's something to be said about Tony's approach -- that he teaches other practitioners on the weekends speaks to his incredible skill and knowledge.

The treatments were helpful from the initial session through the very last one (I did 5 weekly sessions to begin with). Not only has he reduced the discomfort, clicking, and cracking in my jaw, but systemically he's helped my neck, which led to improvements in my posture and by extension, gone is the shoulder pain and discomfort I've lived with for several decades. Tony's unique combination of needling and muscular release, and the simple strengthening home exercise routine he gave me, created an experience was greater than the sum of its parts. Tony not only improved the functioning of the joint, but recommended simple but effective lifestyle changes (making my workspace more ergonomic for example). All in all, his work has not only impacted the problem I went to see him for, but has had overarching positive effect on my day to day health. The last thing I'll mention is that he was incredibly effective at communicating throughout each session (and at the start of the session in reference to the work he had done the session before). He was invested in knowing how each component of the therapy felt, in the moment, and long term. He was sensitive to not only communication through words, but also body language. I found that some of the sensations defied being put into words, and in those moments he helped me bridge the gap through his extensive experience as a therapist and educator in the field. I was referred by my doctor to PT for my acute back pain that has been affecting my daily life for…read moreover a month. I chose PT Solutions of Dallas because of proximity to my home and based on recommendations from trusted sources. I went with expectations of professionalism and compassion and received the exact opposite. From the moment I walked in the door, I was met with paperwork that seemed unending and then told I had to pay out of pocket $570 for the initial visit, $350 dollars for the next 3 visits, and $75 each subsequent visit. I did not receive a call from anyone prior to my appointment explaining my insurance benefits and was told this is what I would have to pay or I could just get billed. My understanding is we only owe a co-pay with our plan and have met a deductible but no one at the site seemed to have knowledge of our coverage. I did receive an evaluation from a PT that only lasted approximately 20 minutes during which the PT was very distracted with other clients in the gym. I felt I was ignored and he wasn't listening to me about my symptoms. I did not receive any education about my condition or new information to guide me in my exercise program. I had already received a home program from my orthopedist, and this PT did not review or contribute in any way to the program. At the end of the session, he performed a manual technique that caused extra pain and did help my symptoms. He was very unresponsive to my questions and dismissive. The gym was crowded, and I was also handed off to an assistant to perform exercises that were very difficult for me but the PT was not attentive and confusing in his communication. Would not recommend this location at all and very disappointed in my experience.
