I really like this place and want to come here more often. But their service is bad. Currently sitting in restaurant for 15 minutes with no menu, server comes over to take my order... never even saw a menu. Update: it's been 30 mins since arrival and my order still hadn't been taken. Update to the update: I placed my order maybe 10 mins ago but two people came in by themselves and were seated and also placed their order. Seemed to take me 30 mins what happened for them in 10. Update to the other update: got my food at 54 minutes in. With my plate at the exact same time was my check. Quick to grab the money but not deliver the food, lol. Had to take the starts down to a 2. Like I said I wanna love this place, but the staff makes it hard. read more

Great food but lousy service so slow it's ridiculous. When I am ready to walk out they finally bring coffee. Then a very long wait 45 minutes for pancakes. If you have an abundance of time this is the place. I have been there 3 times so lots of time for insta and the Facebook. read more

This is an excellent breakfast spot. We tried to visit over Labor Day but they were far too busy (and we were far too hungry to wait), so we tried again a week later. Upon our visit we were immediately sat and our server approached promptly. I ordered their traditional breakfast. Opted for the scrambled eggs, potatoes, toast, and pork sausage links. I was really happy to see how many breakfast meats they had to offer, but decided to stick with the tried and true. The eggs were fluffy and delicious. The potatoes were the star of the plate. Perfectly cooked and surprised with fried onions which made the flavor explode! Their homemade jam was, well, the jam. Seriously wanted to buy a jar to take home. The sausage, however, was a little meh. I don't know really how to describe it but the casing was normal but the inside had a pureed texture which was a little off-putting. Perhaps next time I will try their chicken sausage or just go with bacon. read more

Just read the Yelp reviews and visited this place. Im still in food comma we also ordered the Fresh squeezed orange juice which was really refreshing. I want to come here to try the avocado toast. read more

This place has some interesting selections. Not your traditional breakfast choices but everything I had was really good and well prepared.

Good place to go for breakfast nono brunch nono lunch. Long waiting time for normal breakfast. Recommend to go if you don't have a choice. But taste of food is good. read more

My husband ate there and said the ambiance was really nice and he enjoyed his omelette. He ordered the Triathlete Omelette for me to go. It's supposed to come with fresh fruit, pico de Gallo, and fresh homemade preserves. Opened it up and it came with a pretty gross black slimy side "salad." Why?! I don't know. "Spring" slimy old greens out of a bag!! But it DIDN'T come with the pico de gallo. It DIDN'T come with all natural house preserves (but they did give me some Smucker's strawberry jelly - yay) and it DIDN'T come with ANY FRESH FRUIT!! On top of that half the omelette had absolutely nothing in it jus plain egg whites - yech! The other half had all the ingredients but the onions where cut in really big wide chunks. Worst. Omelette. Ever!! read more

Great service, thank you, Stephanie, and delicious food. An ample amount of selections for both breakfast and lunch.

Love this place. This is the type of food I love. Not typical toast, not typical in any way and I love it. I was willing to step outside the box a bit too and try something I normally would not try here just because I know where businesses buy food from. I got a salmon and veggie frittata with toast and potatoes. Nothing normal about any of it. I just asked for no tomatoes and it was still delicious! Server was very accommodating and polite. read more

DREADFUL SERVICE The restaurant had open tables. There was no line to enter-in fact no one was waiting. It took 27 minutes for our order to be taken once seated. It took 34 minutes for our food to arrive. The meal was very good but that does not balance the rest. To behold "we are short staffed" really? Is that why our pitcher of water was not refilled after 2 trips to our table after it was empty? I call that short-sighted and just lousy service. read more

Service was awful Today 3/18/2019 We came around 11:45 Am We came due to renovation in our house and I needed to feed my kids somewhere relaxing . Me and my kids 6 years old son and a my baby one year old came to this location and we experienced Very bad service The waitress came after 10-15 minutes to to our table Tables who got seated AFTER us with different server they already got their water and they got their drinks and coffees while we are still waiting on our server show up . After 10-15 minutes she finally came At that point we were ready to order every thing drinks and foods because we had enough time to go through the menu We ordered right away coffee , juice. And water and the food and I MENTIONED to the waitress that my son is not feeling well and he running fever he needs water right away to cool off his body temperature and stay hydrated. I told her please to not forget to bring the water right away . Her reaction was with rough tone and a weird look she gave me II am going right now ( her rough tone and attitude) Then we waited and I saw her bringing food to one table and then turned to the other table and start taking their orders . When she was done with that I asked her that I don't want her to wait on us and I need the manager to talk to . A manager came rushing me asking what can I do for you , I couldn't even explain to him the whole thing he just what do you want me Troy bring you ? I said at least the water now because my son is sick !! He brought the water And then we had to wait for another 25-30 I didn't get my coffee or my juice I look around not sure who's our waiter or who to ask so I got up asking about the manager and the lady manager tried to help and Ashe asked me what did I order but at that point I lost all interest to stay in this place Thinking I have to repeat what I ordered again and my sick poor son had to go through this while he's dehydrated and spiking fever And the baby is getting boater and tired . I honestly left with tears feeling very disappointed and very frustrated. My kids past-out in the car with no food . I have never felt this bad and frustrated ever before at any restaurant ,in fact many places I been to with my kids with out my husband I receive many help and attention from the waitress and the staff or anywhere I go . This place made it awful even though I said my child is SICK WITH FEVER !!! We eat 3-4 times a week outside . read more

Saturday at 10:42am stopped in to have breakfast this place was busy but not to extreme. The hostess extremely rude and we counted at least 7 empty tables including outside seating and she said snotty there was at least a 45 minute wait!! Due to her unprofessional attitude we left never will I be back or recommend this place. Negative negative stars Update: tried again today and walked in at 8:50 and there was one table available and we were seated right away. Server was super friendly and our meal was ok. Some items were lukewarm but the place was packed. Menu has a lot to choose from. I rate the second experience at a 4. We had breakfast here at 11am on a weekday so there wasn't a wait. I like the fact that it's larger than most breakfast/brunch restaurants. We ordered the Trifecta (2 eggs over medium, Belgian waffle, and bacon) and the works omelet with a side of seasoned potatoes, and artisanal toast. We also ordered a side of bacon. I noticed halfway through the meal that it wasn't the million dollar bacon which is what I thought we would have been brought. So be sure to specific what kind of bacon you're ordering. Overall, it was a good meal. I liked the Belgian waffle the most. It had a nice, light crisp to it and is served with a warm mixed berry compote. The potatoes are good and seasoned well also. The works omelet is ham, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses and a dollop of sour cream on top. The sour cream seems out of place. I get that the other items say Tex-Mex but the sour cream is not needed. It's difficult for me to give over three stars for breakfast unless the dishes are unique and/or the service blows me away. First Watch is a solid 3.5 stars for me. read more

So, I checked out First Watch for brunch after reading amazing reviews on Yelp. Although I had a solid experience, I did feel underwhelmed by the quality of the food. Though the setting is considerably better, Commonwealth Café is the far better alternative. My advice to management would be to keep the daily specials menu, but significantly scale down on the regular breakfast/brunch/lunch selections. Perhaps 12 to 20 entrées would allow for better quality. read more

This place is great. Came with a large group for brunch. They were able to accommodate us. We used their app to wait in line. Hot chocolate was amazing. Food was delicious. I had a hash with bacon, eggs, potatoes and avocado. It came with a side of toast. I wasn't even able to finish half of it. The bacon was also very good. Other table favorites included avocado toast, eggs Benedict florentine. Food all around us looked amazing. Staff was friendly. Experience was great. read more

Good news, u can stand in line on yelp. So there's not a long ass wait when you get there. That's the good thing. The food is good, but a little pricey for breakfast stuff. If they have it, i recommend the million dollar bacon. Super sweet with a big kick of black pepper tho. I also got the tomato soup and thought that was just okay, kinda a small portion for the price. The bowl looks big but it's deceiving. Also asked for a side of bread, and that cost about $2... For a toasted piece of bread. Kinda expensive. My friend got one of their breakfast, don't remember the name, but thought it was okay also. read more

My husband took me out for lunch at work a while back and I picked this place since it had been on my list for a while, and who doesn't love breakfast at lunch?! We both had juices to start. I had the Kale Tonic and my husband the Morning Meditation. Both were very good! I had the Florentine Benedict and my husband had the breakfast tacos- also super yummy. It's a great place when you're in the mood for breakfast and it's lunchtime, also a great option for a morning meeting since it's so close to my office. Will definitely be back- it reminds me of Breakfast Republic in San Diego which is one of my fav breakfast places. read more

My mom and I unknowingly ventured into this little hotspot one afternoon after a doctor's appointment. We didn't really think much of it. Let me tell you, it was totally worth it. The only negative in this review will be that we didn't take pictures of our delicious meals. But hey, it's because as soon as we started eating, we couldn't stop for foolishness like photographs!!! She ordered the Frittata Rusticate and I ordered the Market Veggie sandwich. Both came with a tasty lemon-dressed simple salad of greens too! Nice and tangy. The atmosphere is busy and loud, but still nice enough to chat, you just have to ignore the other loud-chats around you. It's not unpleasant at all. Our waitress was Nora and she was very friendly and attentive, despite the busy work-place. We will definitely be returning. read more

This is a very busy place, I read the reviews before I went, but I was quite disappointed regardless. Our waitress only took our orders, and then never showed up anymore. I asked her for extra napkins, she never brought them to me, so I had to ask another busboy to get it. The food is pricey, judging from the portion and what was in it. I plan to not go there again. read more

I came here for a late lunch on a weekend day and it was over a 2 hour wait even though I had put my name on the waiting list before leaving to drive over. With all the hype of this place, I definitely felt like i needed to give this place a try. The menu had many options and the entire place was very clean and modern. I liked how there were coffee samples for those waiting. We ordered both of the juices with our meals and it was very fresh, but kind of smaller in portion sizes. I think this would be a great place for those who want to try a healthier breakfast and I do really appreciate the nutrition facts with their food. I'd give it another try on a less busy day. read more

My wife and I decided to give First Watch a shot based on the looks of the menu. All of their foods looked amazing. I was drawn in by the Farm Stand Breakfast tacos (scrambled eggs, cajun chicken, chorizo, cheddar and monterey jack cheeses...topped with fresh avocado and housemade pico de gallo). We had to wait roughly 30 minutes to sit, but I had a feeling that the wait was worth it. When we walked it, the restaurant was packed. My wife put her name on the list and she was able to monitor our place in line using the Yelp web site on her phone. During our wait, we were able to imbibe in some of their delightful Project Sunrise coffee. We had time to peruse the menu before we were seated, so once our time came to rest cozily at our table, we promptly ordered our food. The drinks we ordered (coffee and water) came almost immediately. The service was great throughout our stay First Watch. I refer to it as 'our stay' because we waited an incredibly long time for our food to come to our table. Apparently the culinary artists in the kitchen ran in to quite a few snags this fateful day. The most impressive part about this situation was that our waitress addressed the issue before we could say anything. She recognized that we were waiting quite a while and stated that our meal would be free. She apologized profusely for the wait. I really enjoyed my food. The tacos arrived at our table in a little metal stand accompanied by a small bowl of warm black beans. I did the weird thing by putting my beans on my tacos. Trust me, it was delicious. The tacos were absolutely filled with scrambied egg goodness. The chicken was nice and tender and the chorizo added a little kick to the overall wonderful flavor of the meal. The avocado cooled everything down and gave the tacos a nice creamy texture. I love tacos. These were absolutely awesome. I'd highly recommend them. The carafe of coffee was also a nice touch. I didn't have to bother my server for constant refills. I really wanted to give a 5-star rating based on the culinary experience alone. Unfortunately I had a rather rough experience waiting nearly an hour and a half for foods. The service and food at First Watch are spectacular. If you have some spare time, come check it out. peas! - pickle read more

First Watch is a decent brunch restaurant. We made the mistake of making a reservation for Sunday morning. Despite the fact that we made our reservation an hour ahead of time, we still had to wait an extra 30 minutes for our table after we arrived. Annoying. However, our waiter was a very friendly guy who made our experience somewhat better. The food was pretty good. We got a carrot cake pancake which was HUGE so you can definitely split that among 2-3 people. My bf's skillet was pretty good, basically what you would expect. Overall, First Watch is a slightly nicer-than-average brunch spot but I wouldn't bother on a weekend. read more

I love that you can get on the wait list before arriving. We checked in at church and arrived at the restaurant to be seated almost immediately. Inviting atmosphere with rustic farmhouse feel. Tip: get on the waitlist via yelp before you leave the house. We've tried coming here one other time and the wait was 1hr+. Same type of wait this time but we were able to kill time shopping in the plaza. Food was good, definitely better than a lot of other breakfast joints in the area--but not sure good enough to wait for more than an hour with hungry kids. So put yourself on the waitlist and avoid the inevitable tantrums. With that said, the kids ordered waffle and bacon and grilled cheese. Kids meals come with a beverage, which is always appreciated. Grown ups ordered the Monterrey Club and the Mexican Corn Hash (corn is literally corn and not corn beef)--both were really good and thoughtfully put together.
