Generally would be a 5 star but the glasses were very dirty with water (I hope) streaks. The food is expensive but overall on par for the quality of food. It is always packed so be prepared to wait. Smaller shared parking lot so be prepared to have to hunt for a spot when busy hours. Good customer service.

First watch is a super popular, trendy and always busy breakfast and brunch spot that has several locations popping up all over Lousiville. This particular spot is located In the fern creek portion of the city just of Bardstown road. Crammed in a very small but busy newer shopping center the parking is limited and difficult to find a spot for this popular spot. Inside it is like most first watch spots with any southern home country cooking feel and decor. The service here is very good and very friendly. The menu here is traditional breakfast with some different variations of your normal breakfast favorites. The food here is always fresh and has good flavor hence the popularity. My biggest turn off for first watch honestly is they are always so crowded and I'm not a big waiter. Food is on the higher priced scale for most normal breakfast places but flavor and portions are pretty nice. Overall you can't go wrong with first watch. Just show up early before you're starving and for this location be patient when looking for a parking spot.

This location has a warm and cozy ambiance. It is also less busy compared to the other branches. 5 have the new chilaquilles, which is my now current favorite. I love that this restaurant offers healthy menu items without compromising the flavor and tastes.

We stopped in here for breakfast this morning. It was good. I've never been here before the food was tasty. The service was good. The ambience was nice. The place itself is a good solid spot. It's a little over priced or something. I couldn't eat all the time, but overall it was a good experience.

I usually love and enjoy the food at First Watch but Wednesday was an exception. I called in an order we leaving Baptist Eastpoint after a shot in my foot. We ordered some carry out to be picked up in 10-15 minutes. Great! Well not so. We arrived 15 minutes later and it only took my husband 3-5 minutes to be waited on to checkout. When we arrived at home I opened the food to plate it and my omelet only had bacon and cheese in the center area and the avocado slices were mostly gray and turned the egg gray where they touched. The fried cubed potatoes were so black and hard that over 1/2 were inedible. Looked as if the pan was scraped and all the loose burned garbage was thrown into our containers. Sad. If I had been sitting at a table I would not have eaten the food and I would have sent it back. Very Disappointed.

I really wanted to love First Watch because the service was great and their whole grain toast was some of the most lovely bread I've ever eaten...but all the other food was mid at best. The best way I can describe the reason for my dislike is that the menu was just uninspiring. All the food was plain- stuff I could easily make at home. Nothing was seasoned particularly well. It really is a shame because of the great ambiance and welcoming staff, but I think I'm gonna stick to Wild Eggs. I'd rather drive across town for more interesting food.

Scrambled eggs with cheese and grilled onions, blueberry pancake with blackberry purée, crispy bacon the bacon was so good! And potato's.

We came here mid-morning on a Monday and there were only a few customers. We were served by the best server, Beth. She was cordial and knew the menu inside and out was unafraid to make recommendations, perhaps steering you away from some of the menu items. The highlight of my visit was the Grilled Cheese Sandwich. Absolutely and totally the best Grilled Cheese Sandwich I've ever had the pleasure to eat. Made with Texas toast, the sandwich was grilled perfectly and delicious. Gaslight needs to market their Grilled Cheese Sandwich recipe. It's really that good! JP ordered a Mushroom Burger. He declared it the best mushroom burger ever! Excellent meat! Our friend ordered the Avocado Omelet. She found it to be very good, though perhaps the avocado could have been a bit fresher. Gaslight has desserts. Based on our server's recommendation, I purchased a chocolate and peanut butter square. It was absolutely delicious. This is definitely now our go-to breakfast/brunch spot in the J-Town/Fern Creek area.

We had a party of eight that they accommodated. Among other large parties we saw. The ambience of the place is so nice so retro. There are about 3 to 4 separate corridors within the building that hold different rooms. Two of them are JUST games. One is half tables half games and then one is just bar and tables. In the summer they have a window that lifts up where you can sit on their patio too. I got a house margarita which I ordered two of because the first one was so good. It was a celebration for my mother-in-law's birthday so she just got a regular beer, but the service was still good amongst all opinions . The bartenders were in good moods and the staff was still super nice and kind even though they were swamped. ----- The FOOD. UNMATCHED! To be THAT busy and push out food of the quality we received is mind blowing!! Good job! I've been here before but no one else had. Note! They only have tater tots. No fries. So I got the Always Sunny Totchos. HALF ORDER Their tots with queso (amazing) & SHREDDED STEAK, GRILLED ONIONS & PEPPERS To dieeee for! So delicious. Then I got wings to go; sauce on the side. COOKED TO Perfection! Buffalo, bourbon bbq, and ranch. My husband got the Mikey Likey burger and he said it was great. (ITALIAN SEASONED PATTY, WARM MARINARA, MELTED MOZZARELLA, PEPPERONI & BANANA PEPPERS) His sister got the "it's a wrap" and she enjoyed it. His mom got the "cougar bait tacos" and loved them. Can't remember what everyone else got because I was on the other side of the table, but everyone enjoyed it. Overall fantastic food! really interesting items. There are so many things on their menu I want to try. I just would probably go on a day they are not so busy. ---- Last notes, their games operate off of tokens that they have machines for that take $1, $5, $10, $20 & it's 25c for each token technically. During my visit, both were out of order so the hostess said that you have to go to the bar and you can swipe your debit card in exchange for tokens, which is a little inconvenient so we didn't do that. But no biggie. I had 4 tokens because it took $1 so she got to play Pac-Man twice and she was happy lol Additionally parking is a little rough when they are busy. Overall great place. Be patient. And maybe try a Thursday instead haha

They were very crispy & crunchy that I made them so delectable looking that my friend ordered some as well! I finished the entire tray! As for my entree I had traditional wings half garlic parm & half Jamaican jerk & although this is my first time trying the jerk it was a mild flavor & lightly tossed. The chicken pieces are huge & pumped with steroids & it comes with 2 sticks of celery. Can't go wrong with deep fried. I'm giving this a 4 star because the service was not great, I'm unsure if the young woman was new or not but she kept forgetting things that were part of our orders... for example water with lemon, no lemon, wings with sauce no sauce, my friend even ordered a cocktail & requested it to be vodka based & just gave her a shot of vodka.... It was truly odd & annoying that it took her FOREVER to get what she had forgotten to the point we had to ask other servers to fetch them instead. The games are spread out so you quite literally have to walk back & forth for each section of the building to play something & people are watching you while they're sitting down to eat. There was one game where you ride a horse & essentially bounce on it to make the horse move & it was extremely fun yet embarrassing that I was quite literally bouncing my ass while families were eating.

The reviews complimented the food, service and atmosphere so we gave it a try and we were glad we did! We walked into to a classic sports bar that had old school sports bar character. The staff immediately greeted us and promptly led us to our table. The menu is large and varied. One surprise was that they had lobster bisque- we all ordered that as an appetizer. My son ordered wings with fries and coleslaw and my wife and I ordered potato skins. The bisque was very good. When they brought out the rest of the order, we were pleasantly surprised at the size of the buffalo wings. For some reason, so many restaurants have turned to serving miniature, anemic chicken wings thinking the customer doesn't care. Bungalow Joes is one of the rare places to serve legitimate chicken wings and legs. They were huge and delicious!!! The potato skins were smaller but full of flavor. The coleslaw was a winner- they called it Caribbean coleslaw and described it as sweeter than typical coleslaw. The coleslaw was sweeter and my son and wife loved it. The fires were good, as well. All in all, we had a great lunch at Bungalow Joe's. Our waitress was great, the food was legit and the atmosphere was perfect for a sports bar. The wings ensured that we will be back. Local places like roosters, bw3's or beef o Brady's. This unlike the others aren't A franchise and is a smaller solo location that has been here since 2013. They still have a good amount of TVs, a bar and a pretty diverse food menu. Tonight when visiting for the first time I was arriving with a large party. It was my entire family of 6 plus 3 other friends of our kids. We received really good and top notch service the entire time and they handled our party size very well. We started off with two apps. We got the cheese and queso and the mozzarella sticks. We all only got one stick a piece and it was pretty good. Nice and thick cheese. The queso was amazing. Not many chips came with it an a lot of queso came with it. Our waiter recognized our party size and brought us a second bowl of chips out. Not sure if that is the norm but it was very nice of him regardless as I've never received a second plate of chips when ordering chips and queso app off other places menus. For our entrees we sampled the menu pretty good. I personally got the bbq bacon quesadilla and it was very good. Nice bbq sauce taste and salsa was very good. Chicken had good flavor and was cooked nice. Not the largest meal but it was tasty. My wife got the Cajun shrimp pasta and said it was great. Her side salad she enjoyed too. My two youngest and one of the family friends ordered off the kids menu. Two of them got chicken tenders and my second youngest daughter got a cheeseburger. The cheeseburger was phenomenal. One of the best if not the best kids menu cheeseburger I've ever had. Great flavor. The older kids got a catfish meal (family friend who said it was great), Buffalo shrimp (my oldest said was great) and the other family friend got honey bbq wings. I ate about 3 of the wings and they were great. Very saucey, crispy, large and with plenty of meat. Great sauce flavor too. Very messy but very good. The friend of my daughters who is a wing lover said they were great and she would want to come back to this place again. Overall everything we ate or sampled borders on either good or great. So very satisfied with our meal here and as stated we got great service. It was a Sunday nights in late April so there wasn't much of a crowd or any big sporting events on. However, I imagine during those type of events that This Is a cool place to watch them. As it has Good food and nice full service bar. Glad I found this place. Definition of a hidden gem. I've literally drove by the parking lot it is in a hundred times and never even seen the store front before. Pricing was good. Fot a party of 9 who got 8 entrees and 2 apps it was still under $100. So you can't complain about that at all. Ill absolutely come back. I'll make sure to come back in the future and maybe catch a football game or ufc fight here one night to experience that atmosphere.
