I've held off leaving a review until he finished my second project because he's a hidden gem. Once people realize how talented he is, you'll have to join a waiting list to hire him. Mike possesses a true mastery of his craft. I know a lot of people that would do a good job as long as there are no surprises. Mike will do an excellent job no matter the circumstances because he's probably seen it before and knows how to fix it. He has the confidence and knowledge to walk into a room and get to work. He's not going to call his manager or google the next step. He is the manager; he is the go-to guy. Secondly, he has a good eye for design too. For my vestibule, I had an idea of what I want. I explained it in my layman's terms and hazy descriptions and he saw what I was envisioning. I didn't need to over-explain it or draw a picture. He just got it. Also, and more importantly, he's honest. He gave me an estimate and stuck to it. That never happens. Anyone else would have charged extra when they discovered the subfloor was rotted, or when they saw a 10 degree slope in the corner. Mike didn't. He stuck to what he said and even fixed a few wall tiles in the kitchen - no charge. Not to mention, his prices are a bargain. People with half his skill, wanted a whole lot more. Lastly, he's a friendly guy. I know it can feel awkward having a stranger in your home. Not with Mike. He's trustworthy, down to earth, and you'll be friends in no time.

We had just purchased a house in Cape May and decided on using Artisan to renovate our kitchen; all the flooring in the house and the tile on the porch; and, coordinate many of our other needs (ie ceiling fan and lighting installations). Jeffrey was our main point of contact for our project which he helped design; make recommendations; and provide us with guidance. Jeff was patient, communicative, and very friendly from first consultation til the last day. But what I appreciate about him the most is the attention to detail he had and ensuring that everything was done in an order that both made sense as well as left the house in a perfect state. We visited the showroom several times throughout the process to grab samples to take to the house so we could see how things would look in our home. Everyone we met at Artisan was very friendly and accommodating. The craftsmanship and work product was fantastic. After demolishing the old kitchen, they had put in all new kitchen cabinets and installed all new appliances for us. They removed the old carpet throughout the house and put in new laminate flooring. They were completely unprofessional and the quality of their work was terrible. They trashed our house, they used a domestic vacuum to clean up their sawdust, they left debris on the roof, the craftsmanship was terrible, they didn't finish the job and we don't even want them back to redo it because they were so sloppy and uncaring.
