I hired this company to install a well system, and it's been one of the worst contractor experiences I've ever had. The job was estimated to take 4-6 weeks but dragged on far beyond that with almost no communication or professionalism to the point that I had to reach out first every time and follow up on follow ups. When the crew finally showed up, they were outside yelling and slamming things so loudly that my girlfriend thought someone was breaking in. She could clearly hear them cussing and saying things like "f*** this house and f*** this job." They even tracked mud through the house without a second thought. I stayed patient and flexible with their delays, but things never improved. The company eventually offered a $300 discount to "make it right," which tells you how bad the experience was. Now, after the fact, I've reviewed the official well record, and it shows a total depth of only 30 feet -- even though the contract clearly states 50 feet. That says everything you need to know. I have had First Street Pump help me on 3 different occasions. Summer 2024.....pump (previously replaced 2 years prior by a different supplier) quit on me. Even with many of the crew at First Street Pump on an already planned vacation, they still were able to send Justin (RIP) out to help me! In no time at all, he found a broken stainless steel part (a very RARE occurrence) and had the pump replaced the SAME DAY!! April 2025 My pressure tank in the basement was leaking water from the bottom of the tank. Because I had such an excellent experience with my pump replacement, I called First Street. Within a week, they had a very high quality pressure tank installed and working. I was advised to check on it 2x/day to make sure there were no leaks. I did so every day and it was dry and there were no problems at all. On the 5th day, when I checked on it, I had water on the basement floor again. It WASN'T coming from the new pressure tank. Now I had another NEW water leak problem. Water was coming out of the concrete wall...the connection behind the new pressure tank! I didn't want anybody but the owner, Dan, to come troubleshoot/fix this for me. He's honest, has integrity, is super knowledgeable, considerate and I trusted him implicitly! So I had to wait a bit over 2 weeks for Dan to be free and able to personally come out. It was WORTH the wait! He had to bring a backhoe out and dig up the whole area outside that basement wall. It was a HUGE ordeal but he found a hairline crack in a PVC elbow pipe connection! I was SO IMPRESSED by the way they left my property when they were done. It has rained a LOT since then and it STILL looks great! So I will say, there is NOBODY ELSE I would call to help me and I'm SO grateful I was referred to First Street Pump way back in the Summer of 2024. Communication was horrible and poor customer service. Paid our down payment in August to get on the list. We had to call/text to get any sort of status. Finally in March they were ready to drill our well. We both knew it would likely be a difficult well. Any time we asked how deep they were or any question, we got about 100ft. First well did not work out. We had to call and ask several times and finally demand a time for the 2nd well to be drilled. Same issue no communication during the process. Only moved over 3 ft with same result. Left our yard a mess with mud in the gutters. Neighbors were upset. Took multiple texts to get them to come out to cap the wells and to clean up the mud. When the neighbors called to complain about the mud, tried to blame all the issues on us, gave out personal information about themselves that was not needed and was trying to get sympathy plus said they told us one thing but they didn't say that at all. Better communication on their part could have fixed everything. We chose this company because they had small equipment to get into our yard and they were a small family owned company. read more

These people are awful. They say they will be there and then don't show up. I was warned by previous customers not to pay up front. I was told they would dig my well the first two weeks in April. Next it was sometime in May. I am so glad I did not pay the half down of $2000.00 they wanted. They told me, well with the rain, you never know. It has rained one day in the last month. I am not sure who the female is that looks at his jobs for him, but she stood me up once and was very late the second. Trust me, DO NOT USE First Street Pump and well. read more

Flaked out, poor communication, rude employee. Had the plumbing/electric for our well and needed repairs quoted. Was happy with the quote, decided to proceed. Waited. Patiently. It's been broken for some time, so it wasn't an emergency. Finally, well guy comes. Has no idea what he's supposed to be doing. Pulls our pump out and leaves all the crap on the ground, is there less than an hour, doesn't have the basic plumbing bits to repair it, leaves after rudely telling my wife that now he's going to be behind on other jobs as though we're not intending to pay for the work. Spoiler alert, he never came back nor called. I'll be having a real well company fix it, since we're obviously an inconvenience to First Street. read more

We wanted a well put in and I called Harp Well and asked about putting in a sandpoint. I was told to call First Street Pump because Harp does not do that. They said they could do it and showed up today at 1:30 p.m. They did an excellent job. Went down 26 feet and hit water. They hooked up everything. Recently one of the well pumps on our HOA failed. I had no referral but contacted First Street Pump from it's Yelp listing. The quickly made an appointment to look at the pump. After it was determined that the pump needed to be replaced the owner Dan lost no time pulling the old pump and locating a new one. Because it was late in the day he was not able to complete the replacement until the next day. He was there first thing the next day. Dan was very easy to work with. Very personable and highly professional. Should our HOA need this type of service again I won't need a referral. My first call will be to Dan at First Street Pump. read more
