Our guests were not able to make it to the Livermore outlets on this trip, so since we were in Napa, we decided to make a quick pit stop here for them. They visited a few businesses and bought some souvenirs from Tommy Hilfiger. 44 businesses - Only 3 of which were food & drink businesses; see their website. Decent size parking lot, but I think the entrance had a bottle neck. Not sure if the design is optimal...? Or maybe because it was raining and so dark that we did not get a clear view. Ambiance - See above. Right off the freeway 29, so very convenient. We have probably not been here for over 30 years...? Open 7 days a week, see website for specific hours. Service - Overall okay. Price - Depends on what you buy. I would say most businesses here are in the medium price range. Owner Comment - Congrats to the current owners of the Simon Property Group. 1960's Simon property group founded, REIT. Worldwide company with 232+ properties. 1993 Went public, IPO. 2004 Entered the outlet mall business with the acquisition of Chelsea Property Group.

The only thing they are missing is Cooperfields Books, but other than that, this is stop is a must for those of us going along to Middletown. I can't tell you how many times I've seen customers, who were basking in the pools with us in Middletown, coming here to get a last bit to eat, cook, etc. on the way there or on the way back. I like coming here and look forward to it each and every time. They have some other places of interest such as Sift Baker and Heritage eats, but even without them, this would still be a place to stop and grab something to go. The CVS comes across a sketchy place with its abandoned garden center, despite the fact it ISN'T 24 hours. For its drawbacks, it has more positives than negatives. It has the great High Tech Burrito, with its Asian-Mexican fusion (teriyaki, yellow curry) The people at Super Cuts are friendly&give great haircuts. The Jamba Juice is refreshing. The Papyrus Store shows that people still do use stationery, even in the age of email and Skype/FaceTime. The Cold Stone Creamery&the New Age Sacred Mists stores are long gone. The New Age store had replaced an organic/health food store. Silverado Plaza is a great place to stock up for the morning, for walking along the Napa River, or heading up the Silverado Trail.

Home Depot, Raley's Office Depot are the big boxes but there is also Jack in the Box, In-N-Out, McDonald's, Taco Bell, Applebees, IHOP, Panda Express, Starbucks, El Pollo Loco, KFC and a Black Bear Diner. Lots of options for fast and fast casual. I spotted a tire repair shop, nail salon, hair salon and a gas station on the corner. The only thing missing is a frozen yogurt shop! River Park Shopping Center is a full-service mall. River Park has had its ups&downs. Its Subway is empty most of the time... how it stays open is a miracle. There's a bar, a sketchy looking laundromat, the Fresh&Easy/gym is now a vacant anchor store. The homeless have camped out in the parking lot occasionally. Still, it's hardly a "dead mall." The organic Golden Carrot is gone; they once sold the vegetarian cookbooks of Crescent Dragonwagon&had business cards for chakra/Reiki healers. Of course, the Fresh&Easy spot has been empty for awhile.... luckily, there's a Grocery Outlet, and since they have genuine deals&NO self checkout, they do a business. The Grocery Outlet has benefited the shopping center greatly. The Goodwill is a great place for finding vintage books&vinyl albums. Happy's Donut Tree Too combines beautiful native Cambodian art with affordable coffee&donuts made onsite. Wah Sing Chinese restaurant is a neighborhood gathering place. Valencia Market/Taqueria is underrated, and their tacos el pastor have a prayer. River Park is slowly revitalizing. Hopefully a tenant will soon be found for the former gym/Fresh&Easy. Luckily, it's already flourishing... and unlike Bel Aire, the parking is good&it isn't too hectic.

Finally checked this place off my bucket list and it couldn't have been a more perfect birthday…read morebrunch! The interior is absolutely stunning, and we got lucky with a table right by the fountain which made the whole experience feel extra special. We ordered the Lobster Roll, Italian Benedict, and Sweet Potato Fries, and everything was delicious. It's on the pricier side, but that's pretty much expected for the area and the ambiance you're getting. It gets busy fast so I definitely make a reservation if you're planning to go on the weekend.
