Would give 0 stars if I could. Called to get my wine cooler looked at. The employee that came over to look at the fridge had no idea what he was doing. He barely looked at it, and diagnosed the incorrect component as broken. He charged me $100 for the 5 minute visit, and said he'd order me a replacement part. 3 months go by and they have not answered my calls and emails. The most unprofessional company I've seen in any setting. I called first appliance, but the company that showed up is called triple a appliance now? Although first appliance is the only company with the correct address. No call no showed on the first appointment. Declined any sort of diagnosis and said, all there is to do with an ice maker is to replace it, that's so that could be going wrong. They forgot to activate the ice maker, and left several bolts in the bottom of the ice tray. Probably don't need those, right? We had agreed over the phone that I could pay with debit card, but in person they demanded cash or check. No reciept or invoice provided. After asking them on several occasions, the receptionist emailed me something that looked like it was created in Microsoft paint. The content of the invoice was even worse. Almost all of the basic information was incorrect and they neglected to even document what the service was or even a breakdown of parts and labor. It simply said "invoice... My name and address... Ice maker... Total" The ice maker was still not working and we tried to reschedule them to come back out, but they were "busy" A problem occurred with the check and when calling me about it, they threatened to come rip the ice maker out. At that point, I didn't even realize the check had a problem and never declined to pay the agreed upon price. I ended up paying them the couple hundred dollars just to not have to deal with them again. Called a brand name certified repair to fix whatever issues they left us, since the ice maker was still not working. This took them literally five minutes and less than half the price. Looking at all the other reviews along with my experience with this company, their sole purpose seems to be to collect easy warranty policy payoffs and simply bolt on some random part to justify the service being done. This company are scammers and have ripped me off. I have been trying since September 1 to get my money he overcharged me for a service call despite the fact that I told him that wasn't correct but he said it was because I needed a part through Total Home Protection. He not only kept telling me he was coming waiting for the part but wasn't true. Total Home Protection had not even received a diagnosis a month after he collected the service call fee as well. He has told me over and over the check was going out in the mail and I have yet to receive it. Tim Pope and Marie (Office Manager) have continuously lied. They also ripped me off under the name AAA Appliance. Same address in Berlin. They came out to look at my refrigerator. The light had gone out and food in the freezer was melting. After checking the back of the refrigerator and making some adjustment I was told it was fixed as the light was on. I was charged $219.99 . 5 minutes after he left the light went out again. I called and he came right back looked at it again and said it was the motherboard that needed to be replaced and it was going to be $ $487. He said he would have to order the part and I agreed and then an hour later thought about it I changed my mind and decided to get a new refrigerator instead. I called them and told them and ask them to refund all but the $99 service call since they didn't fix it. I have been calling and texting for weeks and the owner Tim told me he would be dropping off a check but never did. Now his phone is not accepting calls and there's no way to reach him. My refrigerator and freezer both stopped cooling in middle of hot day in June when temperature outside was over 90F! Through home warranty insurance, 1st Stop Appliance was assigned to do the repair a next day on Wed. I noticed insurance company gave us Monday visit and we could not just wait even extra day to find out what is going on with our fridge. We were miserably trashing food and bought mini-fridge (hotel sized small fridge) to survive until broken fridge be repaired. I called and told 1st appliance that my appointment is set to Monday, and they said they can come earlier. That was fantastic! I followed up with them next day and a senior technician showed up on Friday. In less than 15 min, he diagnosed the issue and ordered the part. Honestly! I thought it can't be that quick, it must be something else going on with the fridge! On Saturday morning, tech. showed up again and few min later his boss delivered the part separately. In less than a 30 min, our fridge compressor kicked in. Inside the fridge was 70F and it took about 2-3 hrs to get to set temperature as technician said. I see a lot of negative reviews for this company, but my experience was extremely positive in terms of quick diagnostic, part delivery and repair all happened within a 24hrs!!! Biggest scams in the world. They came through my home warranty claim to fix two burners on the cook top. It took them three appointments to figure out what was actually wrong. Then they ordered the part and disappeared for 3 months. After many calls, they showed up to tell me that now a different part is needed. They then disappeared for 3 more months. Several calls later, they said we have already serviced your appliance, we cannot do anything else for you. And stopped taking my calls. My calls always go to their voicemail and no one responds. Worst customer service, incompetent technicians, fraud company. I shall never recommend these to anyone. They came out on June 12 to fix the oven and told me they would order the part and would get back to me the next week. Over the next 3 months I called about 6 times and spoke to the owner who said each time he would call me back. He never called. 6 days ago he said he had the part in and would be here on Tuesday September 12 by 1:00 p.m. He did not show up. I called and he said they double booked and would have to reschedule. I told him it was unacceptable in that I had taken the day off and was losing a lot of money because of it. He said he could not do anything because he had other appointments. C, on May 20, 2020 to repair my refrigerator that was not holding temperature, he billed me $219.00 and my check #3457 was cashed by you. Shortly afterward, my tenant began taking ice from the freezer and placed it into the lower fridge to keep his food from spoiling. On Wednesday June 3rd, I called you and asked for someone "more knowledgeable" to come and fix the same problem, and you agreed to come on June 4th. On Thursday June 4th, you called to postpone until Friday between 10 and noon. On Friday you never showed up. On Monday June 8th, I called again and scheduled a repair for 5:00 PM. The repair man came, stayed five minutes and said parts were needed and left, according to my tenant. I then gave your telephone number to my tenant (Zach) to arrange a convenient time to do the repair, since the refrigerator is in his apartment. On July 1st, I asked him if the refrigerator is fixed, and he said "No." He claims he tried several times but was not getting anywhere with you. I called you again on Thursday July 2nd and you said you would be there at 9:30 AM on Friday July 3rd. I notified the tenant of your arrival time, but that time did not fit his schedule, so he called you and changed it to Monday July 6th at 9:30 AM. On Monday you did not call and did not show up. The refrigerator is still not fixed, you cashed my check and do not show up when setting appointment times. In the meantime, my tenant has given me notice that he is moving out. I gave this 1 star cause it made me pick a star. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with & Tim Pape is the biggest scumbag crook in the business. My refrigerator stopped working. The day before Tim came my regular appliance guy was here & told me the compressor went. He specifically told me there wasn't any one thing that caused it. He also said" it's not like you had a freon leak or a water leak", I couldn't use him for diagnosis cause he didn't do work for Choice warranty, who are also crooks. When Tim came he opened fridge door, closed it, unscrewed part of panel in back ( enough to squeeze his hand in to feel compressor) he said , " yep it's hot, it's the compressor, I'll send my findings to Choice". I get an email the next day denying my claim, Tim told them compressor was bad due to Freon leak. He never even looked at compressor nor did he do any testing for freon. So now I have to appeal & I also had to go out & buy a new fridge, he won't make the paperwork right. He offered to send other guys out here next wed but fridge will be gone by then. ZERO STARS. THIS MAN SHOULD BE ARRESTED. Tim Pape is a con man. He was sent to our home via a home warranty company to fix our dryer. After looking at the dryer for literally a second (didn't inspect it at all) he said he knew what was wrong and would order the parts. We followed up with him and the warranty company who said they had approved the claim and that our dryer would be fixed right away. It never was - Tim stood us up on six occasions (we cancelled work meetings, doctors appointments, etc. to ensure we were home). Each time he just never showed up and then when we eventually got in touch with him, he'd say he thought another one of his technicians had come out (it's all a scam - it's just him and some guy who rides around in the van with him). Then, he kept repeatedly asking us to take pictures of our dryer's serial numbers (which we did and sent to him over and over again). He told us he had to get the parts, then he'd say he had the parts, then he'd say had to get the parts again. After calling him over and over again for a MONTH he finally returned to my house. He sat in his van and sent his other guy into my house. The guy took my dryer apart, cursing and screaming the entire time (for real), and then - with the dryer in pieces on my floor - said he was leaving because he didn't have the parts. We said what??? You told us you had the parts. We asked him to at least put the dryer back together - he didn't, he just threw the pieces inside and put the shell of the dryer back on. When he arrived, our dryer was WORKING but made a terrible sound and needed new pullies - when he left, our dryer was completely BROKEN. We had to call an external repair company to come out to fix it. As Tim and the other guy left, my husband and I said we couldn't believe they were doing this to us, Tim threatened us and said if we pissed him off he could make sure our dryer never gets fixed. I am horrified and shaken. I feel very upset that this kind of low life was in my home and that any home warranty company would engage with such a criminal. He also does not provide his company information - it's all a SCAM - his invoice has no name and no company name on it. He has had various businesses with various different names (First Stop, Triple A, etc.). He took $150 from us and had zero intention of ever fixing our dryer. Do Not use!!! Had a issue with a year old washing machine, these guys came out said the main board needed to be replaced. Told me it would cost 400 for parts and labor. Instead of fixing it I decided to buy a new one. When getting my new washing machine delivered I asked one of the workers to take a look at the old washer within minutes he was able to do a quick test which told him there was nothing wrong with the main board, all it was is a backup in the drain tube coming out of back of machine. So it cost me 50 bucks for them to scam me and now I have a extra washing machine I don't need. I called for a refund and they blew me off. Go elsewhere these guys are a joke. read more

The technician I called to fix my dryer arrived on time, which was impressive considering I'd only made the appointment the same morning. The technician named Tim came in first while the others got their equipment out of the truck, and went over the paperwork with me. Tim took a look at a dryer, and presented a fair estimate to me for the repair of my dryer. When I set up the appointment, I had a feeling the rep on the phone was busy and didn't understand when I was explaining the issue I was having. I'll keep it in mind next time I call their 1-800 number, but I'm really glad the people on the ground have great customer service and are able to identify and fix the issues I was having very well. read more

Since there is no lower rating than 1*, I am forced to give Tim Pape this rating. In fact he deserves less - he is lazy and a liar. He came to my home and "diagnosed" the problem and promised a repair early the next morning as I was leaving town in the afternoon, but could not live up to that promise as he claims the part didn't arrive in time. I contacted him several times while I was away to stress the importance of his being at my home first thing on the day of my return. He arrived at 12:30, claiming he wanted to give me a chance to rest(!). Acted as though the stacked washer/dryer set-up was new to him - remember he had been here a week earlier. Then claimed he had bought the wrong part - never actually looked inside - too much work! - so he could not know if he had the right part or not. I asked for my money back, and did in fact get it but only after threatening to call the police - which I did - and sue him in small claims court! A postal money order arrived with $100 - I paid him $160, including the price of the part and his service charge,; he kept the $60 as his service charge- but am thrilled to say it cost him $22.95 to mail it to me in a priority envelop! DO NOT call this guy - beware: he uses several phone numbers and won't give a physical address for his place of business. By the way, for all I know the part which he claimed was "wrong" may have been nothing but an empty box - he never opened it to look at it while he was here. Total Home Warranty and First Stop Appliance are currently scamming me. Carmen Pape was quick to come out to do a diagnosis, but at the wrong time. He wasn't supposed to arrive until the afternoon, but he came at 9:15 AM and interrupted a very important conference call I was on, in which I was the presenter. Of course, I wasn't going to send him away since I am in dire in need of my washer being repaired. I have mounds of children's clothing that needed washing. So needless to say, I later got in trouble with my employer. Regardless, I allowed Carmen to diagnose the problem. He wrote everything up and collected the $60 service call fee. He said it would depend on the warranty company getting the diagnosis and when they get approval to order the parts for the washer. It's been over a week and they still have not submitted the diagnosis to the warranty company. I've called three times in the past week and Total Home Warranty keeps giving me the run around. Now, I just called Tim Pape at 856-378-6056 and his mailbox is full. No one is picking up and everyone is giving me the run around. They've collected their money; Total Home Warranty has my money for a year's worth of coverage, and these vendors they have coming out to service my property have collected their service call fees. This is the second claim I've made in which nothing is going smoothly. The first claim, not only was I out of the $60 service call fee, I also had to pay the technician the full repair cost out of pocket because Total Home Warranty said the repair wasn't covered. What is the point of having coverage when you get stuck with the full bill and bad vendors who are scamming people. I trusted that they would refer a reputable company, not some sleezebag to come to my home. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!!! If I wanted to get ripped off, I could've called Joe Blow to come do the job.
