We are not particularly religious, so it was nice to find a method that matched our values without pushing an agenda. The couples sessions allow for 1-1 time with Lisa and partnering therapists to talk through specific conflicts/issues we were encountering. I see one of the counselors, Lauren Sanders, with her pal Chai. Chai is an emotional therapy dog that always brings a smile to my face when I see her. Lauren is qualified and professional, you can view her credentials on their website. After attending two other counselors, I met Lauren. She treated me with care and positivity which were two things she saw I needed. Lauren is attentive and problem solving, I say this because she saw a problem and she provided me the tips/tools to conquer these issues. Not only did I learn the things she helped me with but she also taught me to meet the negativity with positivity. I learned this from observing wether she was a good fit unlike the previous two. You could say I was guarded at first like anyone would be but as she helps you, you can see that this is not just a job. She truly cares about her patients and you can not help but think about what makes a person who hardly knows you, be ready to go beyond the call of duty to make sure you succeed. Overall I think Lauren is an amazing counselor and we all could learn something from her. I know because I did and I am much better than before I saw her.

I was on the waiting list for a restorative yoga class, and often if someone doesn't show up, by the time the waitlisted people are notified, it's too late to get there on time. So I decided to just drive down there and see if there were any vacancies. The teacher who was set to lead the class was extremely rude and basically told me to leave. Although everyone who signed up showed up for the class, there was clearly enough room to fit in another person, and I was there plenty early and no one would have needed to rearrange their mats for me to fit in. Besides being snippy and very disresptectful in telling me to leave, she also stood in the lobby area and watched me as I was putting on my shoes. She said that was because people have taken the items for sale from there. I was in such disbelief that I contacted the studio owner about what I perceived to be behaior based on race. I could not have been more shocked when the studio owner then responded to me by telling me that she had contacted the teacher about this incident and the teacher said she was not a racist. I will definitely never go there again.

I called and they never responded and yes I was insulted that Joe couldn't even get my name right and lnever called me back! I called again and left a message and yes I was annoyed because no one responded to my last one. He called back was super combative and rude. No apology for calling me the wrong name and said he sent me an email which I didn't get. It's possible it went to junk and got deleted. I wasn't told they'd be emailing me! I said I don't often check my email and he said that's not his problem. I hung up! Why employ a receptionist who is rude and unclear about exactly what the process is for getting a therapist and an appointment? I asked to talk to the director and he said he was not there, why couldn't he have forwarded me to the directors line? I'm assuming it's because he knows he was wrong and unprofessional and has no intention of allowing me to speak to the director.
