I have been going to Victory Kickboxing since September 2014 (for about 9 months). I have always been in shape and stayed active, so working out and fitness classes were not new to me. I went to Victory to support my sister, who wanted to start working out. So, I bought the trial 3 classes for $20 and was "sure" I wouldn't sign up, as I already belong to the Rocky Run YMCA. After the first class, I knew it was a great workout. The hour flew by and I was sweating like I had just got out of a pool! The next day I felt sore like I hadn't felt in a long time, yet, I also had so much energy. It felt good to be challenged in a work out. After the second class, I kept telling myself, I wouldn't sign up, there was no reason to, as I could take classes at the YMCA. However, upon completion of the class, I couldn't deny that something was just different about Victory. I wasn't sure if it was the ability to throw on the gloves and hit the bag like Rocky or the sense of community in the classes. But, either way, I didn't want my trial classes to end. Despite what I was originally "sure" I wouldn't do, I signed up for the 40 block of classes. I really didn't HAVE to, as I still belong to the YMCA, yet, I signed up because I WANT to keep doing the classes and feeling challenged. I honestly couldn't wait to get back to class after the Christmas holiday. How many people can say that about their workout? After 3 months, I bumped up from one day a week to twice a week--mostly because it's such a good work out but also because I truly look forward to the class. There isn't a muscle group that isn't worked in that hour. It's like the benefits of a personal trainer with the security of a group class. So even if I wanted to slack off, or skimp on my workout, Mr. Quillen and my peers, wouldn't let me. Everyone works at their own level and yet, we all push each other to be the best we can be. My sister, who introduced me to the class has lost over 75 pounds since she started! Which is a true testimony to the type of workouts Victory offers. At the end of the class we all stand in a circle and say "we rock" which is very fitting because the truth is, Victory Kickboxing Rocks!

This gym is a great place to workout and is steps above the competition…read more When I vacation to Ocean City and Bethany I would always travel down to the gym at Gold Coast Mall or visit OC Crossfit, but not since I tried out this World Gym. It is small, but it has everything you need. There is only one squat rack, a couple of flat benches, an incline, and then four or five dumbbell benches. When I have been there, the crowd is small enough that any waits for equipment are very short-lived. There was enough room for deadlifts and olympic lifts. The staff and other members didn't seem to mind me making myself at home. There is plenty of cable equipment too. All of the equipment is new, clean, and in excellent working order. Their free weights go up to 150. My favorite part is the customer service. I left a pair of knee wraps there, and called a week later to see if they were still there. The nice young lady at the front desk found them for me, but told me the manager wasn't there at the moment and took down my information. A week later, they were on my doorstep in California. I really don't think any other gym would go that far to take care of an irregular customer. The price is very affordable ($10 a day), so there really isn't a reason not to come here. It's worth the drive up from Ocean City.

During the beginning of the…read moremembership, I found that the equipment was not functional and the gym was very crowded at the time we wanted to use it. At which time I decided to move and leave the area. I moved a half hour away. Only to find out months later I am being pursued by this group that I owe my membership fees - $280...Even though I explained numerous times that I moved out of the area and that the equipment was faulty and I was not interested in continuing my membership. Recently, I was visited by a Justice of the Peace Court from Delaware, for a judgement for $300 to be paid or they will take a TV from my house of the same value. You have to be kidding me. Buyer Beware!!

The instructors are super helpful and patient. Now my son really enjoys going to his karate class at least two to three time a week. He eats better after class and even learnt how to count better because some exercise requires counting moves.
