He is very communicative and he handles his workload like a champ. Over multiple visits I've sat in the shop for many hours and he works nonstop to make sure everyone's issues are handled even when there's a line out the door. Zach always answers my questions with poise. He goes above and beyond as well. For one job Zach helped work out some pain-staking details with a warranty company to cover shoddy work I had done at another shop, something he didn't have to do. Rackley's was able to fix this problem in a very quick time frame..."very quick" considering how many other vehicles they had on their docket! (Something to always note as a customer!) Nick, the tech who's worked on my car, is also extremely professional and friendly. He's got a lot of passion for his job. Nick was/is a perfect match for me since we both like the same make vehicle. Likely, Zach matched us up on purpose. Great! All around, Rackley's makes sure I am fully taken care of and driving a safe vehicle. Everyone I've met at the shop is happy, and fun and easy to talk to. They have a loooong line of loyal customers out the door almost all the time and I completely understand why. I dropped my car off Wednesday morning and was told "we can't get to it today but we'll call you tomorrow". I left Rackley's with instructions to let me know the cost and nature of repairs before performing any work and was assured that this would happen(it didn't). I get a call later from Zach to ask why my car is there(again) and am told(again) that they'll call me and let me know what they find. After hearing nothing for three days I call Rackley's on a Saturday to find out what's going on with my car and am told they finished the work(!) and that someone will totally call me Monday morning when it's ready to be picked up. Of course, Rackley's fails to call Monday morning so I give them a ring a couple hours before they close and they tell me my car still needs work(?) and that after Zach checks on something they'll call me right back. Rackley's never calls back and I have to call them, yet again, and tell them to stop whatever they're doing and that I'm on my way to pick up my car. I'm floored by the lack of communication and professionalism from Rackley's and despite living within walking distance will never use them again.

Took my car there and needed a new headlight bulb to pass inspection yet after dropping it off the mechanic called me and said it was working by some miracle. Now some other shops would have replaced it any way or said they had and charged me Not JS & J. The mechanic gave me some really great cost saving advice about some potential problems as well rather than seeing an opportunity to suggest uneccessary repairs. When we replaced the Civic with a Nissan Cube, Auto Tech proved to be THE place again! Nissan wanted $450 to replace the valve gasket because you have to remove the intake manifold to get to it. The problem is my daughter graduated UNCW and is now living in Charlotte, 200 miles away! What a quandary! Chris went above and beyond by contacting the NAPA supplier and through his network membership with NAPA, offered a remote NAPA warranty solution where a shop here in Charlotte was paid to perform the work. Kudos to NAPA for standing behind their product and special thanks to Chris for standing behind his commitment to customers, even though we are 200 miles apart! I primarily went to them for my car, which had been in a fender bender. They had focused on the rear struts when the bigger problem was my control arms on both front axles. I went to another company to have them evaluated and sure enough when the insurance company came to evaluate the car. It was due to how they had handled my car in the assessment lot. If I had stuck with this company, I would've never gone back to the insurance company, and I would've had to pay all of this out-of-pocket. I also would have focused on the wrong fixes to the car. The reason I changed companies was because of how they handled my wife's car. I paid them several hundred dollars to try and fix two problems. They said both problems were fine and that they were not actually problems. I went to another company and the other company was able to immediately diagnose the problem and fix the problems. The troublesome part was that they had assessed the TPMS systems and said they were fine despite us having a warning signal on the dash for the last few months. The other company said the complete opposite and said that two had degraded batteries and needed to be replaced. All of the problems went away after being fixed by the other company. Despite the other good reviews on this app, I cannot trust T & T anymore.
