The ATM frequently runs out of money, does not post a sign saying they are out of money, but then takes the money from your account as if you received it. You will be waiting there for 10 minutes while the machine is slow, not wondering if it's going to work. If this isn't your home bank, you have to go through your bank to correct this and it takes weeks of an investigation to determine if this is true. Really unsavory situation, I am wondering if the new Dixon bank will put this one out of business read more

Sierra assisted us in opening our new accounts today. She did a great job of explaining everything to us and answering all of our questions. The service was fairly quick and we left feeling confident that we had made a good choice regarding our banking needs. read more

First Northern Bank - Banks & Credit Unions Near Me - Dixon, California

I hate to criticize a local business, but I'm about to pull the plug on any further use if the outside ATM machine on B Street. Within the past 8 months I have had two separate deposits of checks (total of 3 checks) FAIL to show up in my account. The first time for a variety of reasons, it was over a month later when my (honest!) payer called to ask if I intended to deposit her check. Sure enough, although I had a receipt with an image of the check, nothing had been credited to my account. When I brought this to the attention of the bank, it took another couple of days for them to "find" my check. More recently the same thing happened with a pair of checks, except I caught the error much sooner. Question: How does something like this slip by? Doesn't the bank match the checks received with an equal amount of deposits to customer accounts on a daily basis? The most recent ATM snafu was when I received only $180.00 of a $200.00 withdrawal. I hate to say it but my missing $20.00 didn't seem to be of much concern to the customer "service" person I spoke with in person at the bank. Fair Warning: I like having a small, local bank, but this kind of thing--particularly with a check deposit--is only going to happen to me one more time in the next couple of years. read more

No accountability and horrid customer service. Also a huge eye-sore to look at. Please update your building! Gross!

I worked here and I bank here. The service is always nice Fridays you usually have a little wait. They have a drive up teller which is convenient. read more

The customer service you receive is well above what you would get at any large bank. When you call you actually get to speak to a live person. The drive through atm and drive through teller is an added bonus. read more

I've banked with larger banks such as Wells Fargo and Bank of America. I like First Northern in Dixon the most. Drive thru ATMs are super convenient, the staff is knowledgeable and always available to help me and their fraud department caught a crook in the act of trying to make a $200 purchase on my account. My card was easily and promptly replaced. I would recommend them to anyone looking to bank more locally. read more

I've never had an issue with these guys. I once had a mysterious $680 charge on my account, and they got rid of it right away. Also helped me with the info I needed to find out who was trying to forge checks. They have a drive thru ATM which I like, and everyone's pretty much cool there. read more

I use this bank for my businesses not by choice either. Everytime i come in there is a very long line and one teller. Some people are on a time limit. This place needs to get it together read more

I worked at this bank I and it was a terrible experience. I was lied to in my interview and I was fired because I initiated a workers comp claim. My plea to you is that, if you want to do business with a place that treats their employees fairly, please bank elsewhere. read more

Bank fraud/theft! I HAD a corporate business account with them for nine years. They allowed someone who had been removed from the account over two years previously, to walk into a branch, request the bank to create a new check for them (I have a copy) and withdraw all of the funds from the account, without even contacting the office or the corporate officers prior to dispersing the funds. They then sent me a letter asking me if I was aware of any "suspicious activity" on the account. That triggered me to track down the recently mailed statement only to find out that the account was now closed! I immediately forwarded them a copy of the letter removing that person from the account almost three years previously, and a notice of demand for the account to be reinstated and the funds restored. I followed up with three phone calls to the corporate office in the same week none of which were returned. I have now reported them to the U.S. Treasury, Office of The Comptroller of the Currency (https://www.helpwithmybank.gov/index.html) where they opened a complaint for bank fraud, and they referred me to the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation to seek restitution. We'll see. FRAUD. read more

I've used FNBof D for my banking needs for about ten years now. They are ok for basic banking needs although don't try to use your ATM card if you go on vacation. In my case I was in Hawaii and tried to use my bank card to pay for a dinner. The card was declined even though I had plenty of money in my account so I used another card . I tried to get cash at an ATM ... declined ! This was on a Friday night so Monday morning I called the branch to see what's going on and I was told First Northern Limits use to local area/state and if you want to use their card while elsewhere you have to notify them and request "extended use" . To say the least the person I spoke to was not helpful. When I asked to speak to the manager I was given the asst. manager who was very rude and told me I should know the bank's policies . The tellers are nice but management sucks at this place . read more
