TJ Motors - Thank you for my beautiful baby Alex!

I was on the prowl for my second vehicle a rare Hemi Jeep Commander which they only made for 4 years. I sent my mechanic to look at a half a dozen different commanders (from dealers and private parties) my guy was not be shy to turn me away for something that was too broken down, but the one at TJ motors was the only one that he was absolutely sure about. He said it was the best value for the price he had seen in any vehicle in a long time, he even hinted it possibly going into a bidding world over it with me :P. (Shout out John @ roadside wrench!) I took it on a quick trounce around the block with Alex in the passenger seat he pointed out a couple of things that were cosmetic blemishes that I probably wouldn't have realized right away but it would have down the road and I really appreciate it is honesty about it. Then the negotiation, my least favorite part, especially as a coming in alone woman. He kept an absolutely cool professional head about everything and listened to my budget and we came up with a number that was comfortable for everybody. During the entire transaction I never felt looked down upon or taking advantage of. A couple of hours later I came back with the cash and we sat in his office and chatted while he did all of the necessary paperwork what felt like 20 minutes was actually an hour, he DID NOT waste my time with any kind of unnecessary upselling or padded paperwork. He made sure I had my insurance in line, gave me my free 3 month warranty, tried to helped with my registration done, he even helped me put on my dealer plates in this ridiculously cold weather. I got to buy my favorite vehicle for a great price from my brother from a different mother. You can't really ask for more. Im already thinking about 3rd vehicle I'm going straight here to TJ motors and my boy Alex (let me know if you get a smart for two or an EV vehicle dude!)

If you visit this dealership, I recommend asking for Mario as he was knowledgeable, helpful, and ready to deal. I was able to pay cash for a beautiful car and it was a smokin deal. Extremely satisfied with the transaction and definitely recommend shopping here for your next used vehicle purchase. Service is excellent and The price is definitely right here.

Workman's Automotive - The coil that the sparkplug they installed ruined

Trust this shop at your PERIL…read more Skip to the bulleted list if you want to see what they did to me. Read the rest to see how they (didnt) take care of me after. Spoke to Lonnie, one of the techs a week in advance of coming in (Monday) about what I needed done. My wife and I were buying a bus to drive back to Jersey, and are making it our new home. It had a coil code for coil 3 and some misfiring. She gave me all kinds of confidence being a fleet mechanic for 20 years and knowing alot about my motor, and I really can't believe where I am now, from the initial conversations we had. I paid over $1100 for 1 coil, a full inspection for safe cross country travel, and 10 new spark plugs - they didn't need to be done but she offered, and I know my motor can have plug issues - I figured - what the hell, she's the person for the job, better get them done when it's in the hands of someone with deep experience. I was charged $135 for just the coil. The two mechanics I had to visit after to do her job properly, laughed at me when they heard how much I paid for the whole thing. The "work" they did was "completed" on Wednesday, and we drove off. Here's the meat of this whole thing: - we broke down 50 miles from her shop, blowing out 2 spark plugs, and ruining a coil - had to get towed which cost $786 due to after hours charges and lack of local availability after being stuck on the side of the highway with my wife and tractor trailers zooming by - discovered the oil was LOW and DIRTY after Lonnie advised me to drive it home to jersey, and just get it done then - discovered ALL of the sparkplugs were loose that she did, except for ONE. And that's because... SHE DIDNT DO IT! It was the only tight sparkplug, and was clearly very old, and not the same brand that she charged me for - the sparkplugs were so loose and letting so much compression out, they all looked old despite being new. Except for the one she didn't do... - saw that most of my coil connectors were broken (what even got checked??) - discovered most of the coils were bad or going bad - saw clear as day that my drive belt was cracked and dried out - desperately needed a new fuel filter (once again, why this wasn't checked and recommended, I do not know) - had misfires in multiple cylinders - found out she didn't even know what motor I had which was likely the cause of the faulty sparkplug installation I paid a premium, premium price for work that ultimately hurt my motor more than it helped it. It's worse than throwing money away - I paid to hurt my engine. Luckily, it is not ruined. But I am now $1,350 in additional mechanic bills, and $786 in a tow deep in this mess they created. Not to mention, the extreme delays they have caused in getting me home to jersey, which will result in a fine if I'm not able to get home before my move out date. I was supposed to be home Saturday morning... Here's where it gets worse - on Thursday morning, when I got it re-diagnosed, I spoke to Lonnie - extremely respectfully, not assuming any fault til I had the full story. She told me to call back once it got checked out and be careful of those guys taking advantage of me.. lol. I called back after they looked at it and informed her I would be sending an email in the next 5 minutes that would outline everything I found, how it impacted me and what I expected Workmans to do, and to please read it and call me back. No call back... Called their shop again Thursday, was given the excuse that she was at another shop. Called back again Friday - was told she was at another shop again, and received an email with nothing but a NAPA insurance claim form. I wrote another email explaining that if I was not addressed today (Friday), that my handling of the situation was going to change drastically. Finally got a call this TUES morning and amidst a sea of excuses, was left with "I'll pass the information to the owner" I really, really dislike having to take this route - but when someone does you this dirty and won't take care of you after, that's exactly what the DMV and the courts are for.

My MX-5 would not start. Not a sound, not any lights, and definitely no turning over of my engine…read more I just knew it was my ignition system because the new battery I bought from Batteries Plus was only 7 months old (purchased 8/24/2025). I tried my new jumper cables and got no change. Could not lock or unlock the doors with the key fob or touch. The car was a brick. So I saved up because I just knew it was something in the ignition system Made my appointment to go in and to arrange for my car to be towed in. Tow truck driver uses his jumper box. After a few minutes, he hits the brakes! Driver side door is open and I hear the chimes! And then he hit the ignition and my car cranked like nothing ever happened! The tow truck driver said my alternator was good but the battery was shot. He followed me to the shop to make sure I got there as my car had sat for about 2 months. I gave my thoughts on what I thought was not working. Same day (6/17/2026) imagine my shock that after my diagnostic check, it was the battery. Not only is it dead, but its leaking!!!! I was told not to touch it because we all know its acid. I found my receipt for Batteries Plus and was told my warranty wasn't valid. Let known my thoughts on this on their site here on Yelp. Anyway, thank you to the friendly staff and technicians at Boktor Motors. I really appreciate their patience with me getting my vehicles there. They quote estimates and they wait for me to get the funds together to make it happen! My MX-5 is running like this unfortunate time didn't happen.

Imagine you are me. I am a father to a now 7-year-old boy. I used Boktor to get a car after my ex…read moretook my Mercedes from me unexpectedly to try to take custody of my son. I bought a car from Boktor in February 2026 and fully paid it off. They have a very short warranty. I brought it to them for a burning smell and they changed the spark plugs. Then, I brought it in in May 2026 for its first covered oil change. I told them I wanted to make sure my car was in top shape to bring my son to Disneyland. Look at the video. Boktor not only spilled oil all over my engine, didn't notice untightened parts, and left oil actively leaking from a cheap oil plug that did not fit my BMW. My video shows that they chose to not disclose the car was leaking oil profusely. I brought it immediately to a BMW dealership, who made the video above showing the negligence Boktor exhibits. I feel that they endangered my life and the life of my son. The Las Vegas Police call a shop leaving a parent with a car actively dripping oil a "civil matter." What if this dealership could cause someone's death? Is that a civil matter also? They tried charging me thousands of dollars during the oil change, citing problems that they themselves created. They lied about how much brakes I had left to try to get me to replace them immediately. They asked me to repair an oil leak near valve covers they installed. Mena Boktor says this place is built on transparency and integrity. I completely disagree. I have attached a video of my BMW after the first oil change I had with Boktor. First of all, I believe the shop damaged my shock/strut. Red fluid was leaking out after my oil change. My parking spot where my car is kept shows evidence of leaking only after my appointment with Boktor. In addition, they asked me to pay for diagnosis and repair of an oil leak near my valve covers. I asked them, Didn't you tell me you replaced/installed a new valve cover when I purchased the vehicle? They said, "Okay, don't worry about it; it's probably nothing." Due to the problems, I took my car to BMW of Henderson; the video is attached as evidence that my review is truthful. Boktor service reset my car's clock to military time. They used an oil plug that was not a compatible part, so oil was leaking out of my vehicle, known to them, and they let me drive away like that. That oil leak near the valve cover? The BMW technician points out that they did not even torque or tighten one of the bolts holding down my valve cover. The valve cover contains the PCV system that affects my turbo oil return line, and there was oil leaking all over there. Boktor refused responsibility for these dangerous errors. There was oil leaking all over my engine, likely from a spill. The only thing they would take responsibility for was the oil plug, which they replaced with a BMW oil plug, and everything was then fine. Didn't stop BMW from quoting me 7000 for all the damage they did to my car. In addition, the paint is peeling off the wheels of my car, which they painted black without the proper primer or prep. Same thing with the front of my car. Estimates reported that Boktor did not know how to prep the paint. My car looked nice, but there were several problems hiding underneath. When I wrote to them and tried to fix the problems, they responded aggressively. They did fix a vacuum line, but that line had nothing to do with the damage they did by leaving the valve cover untightened. Since I am not a mechanic, I was able to use AI to find out what the consequences are for leaving a loose valve cover on an engine. The Nevada DMV also does not investigate this crooked shop, considering everything to be a civil issue. They seem to bring cars that were involved in accidents in California. They somehow block the details out of the car's history and report and reconstruct and sell vehicles with dangerous damage. Sometimes when you need a used car, there's no alternative, but know that if there is something wrong, they give a short warranty, extremely short, and lie and act without integrity when presented with a problem. I was lucky enough to have my spark plugs replaced under warranty when the engine light came on after only one month. They get aggressive and scream that you bought the car "as is" even if they are trying to scam you. I don't know why there are not more negative reviews. It's not worth it to deal with this shop IMO. .
