So as my daughter and I were getting full set acrylic put on. We heard the technician say it was $55 for acrylic nails to another patron. We were charged $153.00 they charged me $81.60 and my daughter 71.40. I asked for a buff shine I was told that they don't do that. I went to the Aveda institute of cosmetology less than a year ago, I've been getting acrylic done for 20 years it's common alternative to polish. In my opinion they were just being lazy and price gouging. They were able to get us in on Valentine day with out an appointment but I think we got ripped off. If I could leave a zero I would. I literally just got a plain manicure. It didn't even last one day, the same night the paint started chipping off! I paid 25 plus a 10 tip. First visit was great. Person doing nails very friendly. Then went back and Same person barely talked to me; talked and laughed and spoke to Vietnam cohorts rather than customers. I soon felt like the outsider that I was. Tapped my hand to let me know what wanted me to do. One person came in front of me and said had had been to one doing my nails week before and needed repair. I will not be going back to First Nails Salon. My daughter went to get a pedicure last week and the lady trimmed the skin around the nail and my daughter said she dug into it. It was sore when she left and it is still sore! She is in France now and will be there all summer doing alot of walking every day! I feel so bad for her b/c she did not have any trouble at all before going to the salon. I fear that she has an ingrown nail because of the way it was trimmed, or an infection from the salon. I am not with her so I cannot say. Now she may have to find a doctor in France to have her toe checked. This same salon filed and scraped my fingernails so thin that it caused my nails to be sore, and the white part of the end of my natural nail grew wider. Never going back. read more

Don't come if you have a real life to get to after this. Any time after 4 or 5 and you'll spend an eternity waiting.

The only thing I found to be upsetting I'm diabetic and he kept digging into my toes, very painful. After coming home I discovered that my heels were still scaly and before they were smooth. This place is AWESOME! I was in town, visiting my mother and mother in law, and I wanted to take them to get their nails done. We stopped by around 3:45, and they were packed. The owner was very pleasant, took the time to talk to me, and was honest that it would be at least 1 hour. I told him we had an event to attend, so I'd have to pass for now, but asked him when they would be closing. He told me closing was 7:30, but if I wanted to call after getting out of the event, he could let me know if they would be staying late (it was the day before Mother's Day, and again they were super busy)! I called after we finished our event, even though it was 7:15 pm, expecting him to say they would be closing on time. He said to come on, and they would take care of us. They did an ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL job! My mother wanted a full set of acrylics, I wanted a full set of gel, and my mother in law and daughter each had manicures. They were very pleasant, did an excellent job, took their time to make sure our nails were done correctly (didn't to rush us), and thanked us several times for choosing them! I would highly recommend First Nails.....super friendly owners and staff, very clean, very accommodating, and great prices! read more
