The jacket I bought was nearly perfect if a bit overly snug. Exchanging for size as what was received was about perfect on every other respect. I bought the Moto Bomber, which can only be had through their store. It doesn't have a zip out liner as it's a winter jacket with armor pockets. Bought their armor but have others if to large for comfort. Haven't had the return sent yet but the winter season is not over yet. I try to ride all year long if I can. Their leather items are well made of heavy leather and good finish interior fabric and zippers. The design is spot on for riding or even every day use. The item bought is a custom. There are items sold through RevZilla and Cycle Gear but none of the custom items - like the Bomber jacket are sold through the Comoto brand stores. read more

They have unique gear at a decent price, but my experience dealing with their fulfillment and customer service was an absolute nightmare. ​I ordered a set of rain suits and quickly realized I needed to modify the sizing. I called customer service immediately before the shipping cutoff. The rep manually updated the order, and I received an email confirmation locking in the correct new sizes. The package arrived the very next day, and the warehouse had shipped the original, incorrect sizes anyway. They completely ignored their own confirmed order update. ​When I called back to get the correct items sent out, I was told the sizes and colors we needed were suddenly out of stock. The rep then asked what other color options I was interested in. I checked their website, which explicitly showed an inventory of over three in stock for my alternative choices. However, when the rep physically checked the warehouse floor, those backup options were completely out of stock too. Their actual warehouse inventory is entirely disconnected from their storefront. You cannot trust a single thing their website says is available. ​To make matters worse, to fix their massive warehouse failure, I am the one who has to do the legwork. Instead of them spending a few extra dollars to arrange a carrier pickup, I have to pack the box back up, drive out of my way to a UPS or FedEx location, and drop it off. Their automated AI support loop even tries to fight you on return shipping costs, blindly quoting that size exchanges are the buyer's financial responsibility until a human finally intervenes to authorize a prepaid label for their own incorrect shipment. ​Because they refuse to authorize a refund until the physical items are back in their hands, I now have to wait 3 to 5 days for the return transit, plus another 3 to 5 days on top of that just to get my money back. There is zero assurance, zero compensation for the hassle, and absolutely no accountability. I am stuck eating the inconvenience to fix their incompetence. ​When you buy motorcycle gear, you aren't just buying a product; you are buying into the reliability of the brand. Based on this experience, First MFG operates with the logistical competence of a Temu or Alibaba storefront. I was tasked with ordering 2 leather vests to prepare & patch 2 members with only 8 days to do it. I ordered the vests on Friday, Monday was Columbus day (holiday) so I paid for 2 day air. My club Patches arrived on Tuesday by FedEx. Tuesday, FMC sent my vests by USPS, Wednesday USPS sent me email the vest would arrive on Saturday... 2 days too late. Wednesday morning I spoke with Sam the Customer Service Manager & explained my situation. He reached out to Nafar Ali, shipping manager, & they shipped 2 new vest overnight to me at no additional cost to me as well as a prepaid return label for the late order. I received the vest early Thursday morning & had the patches sewn on in time for the Friday event. That's what I call outstanding customer service. On 6 Dec 2024, I purchased 3 leather vests online from First Mfg's web store to be used as Christmas presents. First Mfg claimed my order would arrive on 14 Dec 2024. On 10 Dec 2024, First Mfg gave me a UPS tracking number that [as of 3 Jan 2025] still says it has not been received by the carrier. I received an email from First Mfg on 14 Dec 2024 reassuring me not to worry, it's the carrier's fault for not properly scanning the outgoing shipment, and that I would still receive the items soon. Between 14 and 28 Dec 2024, I contacted First Mfg customer service department three times: via phone call, online chat via their website, and finally by email, demanding to escalate the issue to upper management. On the phone call, they said the order was not yet sent due to one item being backordered, despite the website claiming there was current inventory at time of order (so they lied about the carrier being at fault). They also claimed they would refund my expedited shipping fee, and mail the non-backordered items immediately. This was another lie. When I contacted them via online chat on 21 Dec 2024, they apologized that they hadn't followed through, and again promised a refund of expedited shipping fee and immediate fulfillment of non-backordered items. This time, I asked for them to send me email confirmation of our chat discussion resolutions, which they emailed to me on 21 Dec 2024. Despite the email confirmation, this promise also went unfulfilled. Lastly, on 28 Dec 2024, I emailed both customer service and the agent who previously emailed me on 21 Dec, and demanded escalation and resolution. As of 3 Jan 2025, my email has still been completely ignored. I am out nearly $300 USD, with zero accountability from First Mfg. This behavior is unbecoming of a U.S.-based company, and, as a U.S. Army combat-disabled veteran, I am appalled that this company touts their alleged veteran-owned status while treating veteran consumers in such a manner. Beware of this company! I ordered a leather vest for my boyfriend that was $200, a label and tracking number was created and then 3 days later they cancelled my order. When I spoke to customer service, he kept interrupting me, was rude, and told me that it wouldn't arrive for another 3 to 4 weeks because it was a "pre-order". Mmmmk buddy, sure, even though the original tracking delivery date was 12/16. Don't be in a hurry when you order. Ordered vests 4 weeks ago. I received an email they had shipped within a few days of order, then 2 days later was told by UPS the shipping was canceled. I still no estimate from company when the will arrive. Called the company last week, was told they would check with warehouse and call me back, that never happened. Called again today, was told that it was supposed to ship from manufacturer soon, and as soon as they received it in the warehouse would ship to me, again no timeframe given. This review is for an online purchase. Ordered a vest that showed in stock. I recieved tracking information quickly after. I then noticed the tracking info showed it was canceled with no email from First. I then recieved a phone call advising that there was an inventory mistake and my size was out of order. The female offered to ship me another vest or refund and I chose refund. That was on 1/6/21 and still have not recieved a refund as of 2/5/21. I have had an email conversation with customer service over the past couple of weeks saying they requested a refund to the refund manager but still no refund. If you're thinking about buying any product from this company, think once, twice, three, four, five times, or even more if possible. First Manufacturer is a company that produces apparel and gear for motorcyclists, but they have no commitment to their customers. Besides taking way too long, if you order something custom-made--something that will take at least two months for delivery--you'll have trouble contacting them, the company won't produce the material correctly, they deliver it wrong, and replacing it is a complete headache. I've been dealing with this issue for about fifteen days or more to get it resolved, and the company still says it will take another two weeks to prepare the product, not to mention they don't even guarantee that timeframe. So, think twice or three times. I do not recommend First Manufacturer under any circumstances, and I will make sure as many people as possible know about this. read more
