This business is absolutely amazing. The employees are all above average. My purchase, the permitting, installation etc went as smoothly as anyone would expect. At that time, I also purchased a Schledge electronic smart lock which has already been replaced once under warranty and continues to have issues. Please let me be clear that this doesn't really have anything to do with First Impressions Door and Windows, other than the fact that they sold it to me. What DOES impress me is that Peter Masterjohn, from First Impressions, has been incredibly helpful with my continued interactions with Schledge! He has been ABOVE average and has assisted me, sometimes on his OWN time, in my deal with Schledge! I will give First impressions Door and window, my VERY highest recommendation!!! I'm still in the same Clint Moore and 441 shopping center when I came upon this store. Didn't realize I needed an appointment but after waiting quite awhile they finally talked with me. First off their doors with glass and glass in the doors were stunning, they even do side window panels but remember I had been in the store for awhile and I knew this was not Home Depot! Nor was I gonna manage the price. The salesman knew right away that this girl from Brooklyn did not have the money but he was very kind and offered me some free advice. For which I was very grateful. Horrible experience. I ended up having to hire my own carpenters to fix the doors that I bought from them. $10,000 spent on doors and Randy wouldn't return my call or respond to my emails. Run fast and far from this place. Here is a list of what went wrong - it's pretty sad... * 4 doors came completely damaged. Two were sent for repair and were damaged AGAIN on delivery. I ended up having to pay my own carpenters to fix the doors. * I never received the door that I ordered for the linen closet. I ended up making my own door out of cabinet material. * None of the doors came with roller catches or even the cutout for them. We had to cut the tops of the doors and install. * My pivot hardware was never installed in the one door even though I was charged for it. Then the hardware was lost and finally after many calls/emails/texts it was found and delivered back to me. Still never installed in the door and no cutout from the factory. I had to do all of this. * 2 of the doors came warped. * Almost half of the screws were missing from the hinges. When I inquired about it - I was told that you guys ran out of screws, so you put in as many as you had. I ended up having to buy my own and install them. * A couple doors have both gold and silver colored hinges on the same door which is weird. I ended up swapping for the same color/matching hinges. * One door was made with the incorrect swing. * More than half of the doorstop was installed backwards. On the same door (out of 3 stops) you might have two that have the rounded edge showing and one that has the 90-degree edge showing. It was all over the place. I don't think a single door had all of the stops in the same direction. * 2 doors had the incorrect jamb size. We had to custom make our own jambs on-site. read more

First Impression Doors rocks. They have a great selection of impact doors and the sales guys are really knowledgeable about the products. The company they use for carpentry work and install is also top notch. Very professional, cleaned up after and even moved my ring doorbell camera so I have a better view. If you want great selection and one stop shopping (door, install and all carpentry work), use this company. They even scheduled my final permit inspection after install just a day later. First impressions service was great! Helped me pick out a fantastic door. Make sure you finalize details on the contract and confirm when it gets closer to installation to save time. They are easy to work with however if something was forgotten it can take weeks. I chose pvc molding on the inside bc I have dogs and didn't want them to chew the molding or in case I get a puppy. It was pretty smooth from start to finish. Of course it took longer for supplies and permitting due to covid but worth the wait! I chose the marlin impact full glass door. I only have single doors with the PVC wood grain look frame then there's a separate company to stain it with gel paint (you can also choose to have it painted instead of stain however stain is better on wood grain pvc). It's also a separate company that does the installation they have a great relationship with. Picture is before having it stained. You can choose dark mahogany wood color stain to any light color. They will give you 3 people they recommend for this. read more

Worst sub contractor we have ever used. Took 5 month to get our door installed and they brought the wrong hardware. They said they would order a new set. One month later called to check on our hardware order, only to find it I'm in hadn't been even ordered yet. Finally got the hardware ordered, it came only to have them tell us it would take 30 more days to get installed. These people were the worst. read more

I went in and saw a fiberglass door I fell in love with. Sales guy wrote up estimate including installation and claimed there were like 2-3 sale discounts applied and was $5K not including permits. I had not priced doors before this place but went to Smith & Deshields to get a quote for the same door and was shockingly $1850 plus install by a guy they referred me to which was $1200 for a total of $3K. I do NOT recommend this place as they are going to try to scam you! They claim they price match but who wants to have to go elsewhere to confirm they are way over charging and then come back? Lol. Not sure how they stay in business unless their client base is people who like to throw away money. Try Smith & Deshields in east Boca. Much larger store/showroom and sells more than just doors, also has moldings, hardware, etc. ***Response to this "Steven guy." My post doesn't incinuate anything. It states the facts which you clearly cannot accept. You guys clearly tried to take advantage of a customer and your company deserves a bad review. You are not competitively priced as you tried to charge $2K more! The door/sidelite at both stores is exact same product/manufacturer and the cost at Smith & Deshields includes custom moulding. I work for Moss Construction NOT Smith & Deshields and you should think again before commenting on my post. I am in the process of remodeling my entire house and guess who won't get a penny of the over $100,000 I am spending?! Everyone can now see within your response that your level of customer service leaves a lot to be desired! And he wasn't even the sales guy that "helped" me so there is more than one fraud!
