The guy who put the grip tape on was really nice to my son. They got a good crew and service. I lived in Chicago before and this was the first store I got my very first two G-Shock from and back then they still had great service! Till now! From 2015-2024! And they also got decent amount of selections to choose from. Plus the prices are good. I had a horrible experience. I signed in at the QR code on the door. I waited as there were three…read morepeople ahead of me being serviced already. A white lady walked in with a child and bike and they began servicing her. I asked a worker how does the QR code sign in work, and how do they decide who is to be serviced next, and told him that I was here before the woman they were now servicing. He couldn't answer any of the questions. Another white lady came in and they began servicing her ahead of me and as telling other people that they are close to closing and they ask me to leave as I protest them servicing these white women ahead of me repeatedly. The manager on duty tells me that I can go somewhere else and pay to have my bike fixed somewhere else if I don't like the service. I continue to protest and he ask me to leave and threatens to call the police. I finally leave after the police are on the phone and he's giving them my description. That Manager is a racist Karen.

And on an on an on an on and on. And on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on. And on and on and on and on and on an on and on and on and on and on. It was a long time. I waited. And I waited some more. I did some serious waiting five feet away in a red sweater. No acknowledgment. No letting me know it might be a while. But that would've likely stopped the upselling I started to see. So I turned me and my bike around and left. It's hard for me to be on my feet that long. That's why I bike. Dood has a right to be into his subject matter. Usually shops want you to feel comfortable and respected as somewhat of a priority, even if you aren't being directly pitched at the moment... it just was not a good vibe. All doods working there when I was in. Way heavy on the dood vibe. Captive audience syndrome. Sigh. Dood has to do what a dood does. I avoid places like this. Going to the bike collective in Rogers Park instead next time.

At the west side store they didn't have the products I needed and the ones they did have were drenched in dust and priced about 40 percent higher than competitors. There's no lighting in part of the store and the counters at the front looked like a salvation army with their disorganization. In short, they don't answer the phone, the people across the company don't know what inventory they have and feed you disinformation and their store was dirty and overpriced compared even to the chain stores. Would strongly avoid.

I get it - but still disappointing. Next 3 pairs were low end options I tried because the sales lady was nice enough to pull them. I asked to try two specific well rated skates (Bauer Supreme's, Vapor 2X)but was told they didn't carry them in my size (11's) and if I wanted them the manager would need to order direct from Bauer and have me pay up front. No thanks. Went to Pure Hockey a few days later. They had a far better selection and I felt like I was talking to people who knew their stuff. It was a better experience by far and that really surprised me.
