It's been a year since the birth of my baby, and I've debated writing this review for a while. I…read morewant to start by saying that the office staff at Full Circle were wonderful throughout my pregnancy. At every appointment the team was kind, attentive, and caring, and my prenatal experience at the practice itself was positive. Unfortunately, my hospital experience during labor and after delivery is what ultimately led me to leave this review and decide not to return to the practice. During labor, one of the providers, Lauren Hontz, did not make me or my husband feel supported during a very vulnerable and difficult time. I felt pushed toward getting an epidural and later toward a C-section while I was already struggling through labor. The epidural was placed incorrectly (which I understand is hospital staff, not the practice), but the situation overall felt very poorly handled. In addition, my husband felt dismissed during the process. At one point he was essentially pushed to the corner of the room and excluded from what was happening. That lack of support for both of us made an already stressful experience even harder. I do want to add that Dr. Morrow, who ultimately delivered our baby, was absolutely wonderful and made us feel much more at ease with her expertise. Overall, while my prenatal care at the office was great, the labor and delivery experience at the hospital is the reason I have chosen not to return to this practice.

I want to start by saying my midwife, there, is the ONLY reason I put up with this office a second…read moretime. But it's time to review. The rest of this office is rude. Check-in is rude, checkout is even more rude and gives you issues when you try to schedule with a certain person. Even when it's written in your chart that you only see specific people. They will try to bully you into doing everything they want. If you heard this was a crunchy friendly office, that was true about six or seven years ago. But no more. If you try to forgo anything, get ready for a massive fight. We paid THOUSANDS of dollars ($6-7000), in cash, up front for appts and delivery for them to tell me they wouldn't schedule me for more appointments, at 34 weeks, and would fire me unless I got a 3 hour glucose test done...after my one hour came back 2 point too high Something that happened my first pregnancy with them too and came back completely normal for the 3 hr. (No surprise there). When I got there for my appt without having it done they threatened to FIRE me if I didn't do it within 48 hrs. Reluctantly went and got a three hour done and surprise surprise it was normal. They only opened the schedule for the following month on random days close to the new month, so you can never schedule out. They tell you they'll call you when it opens, but they don't. So by the time you go to schedule your preferred time and midwife, it is already booked out. That is if you can get them to answer your phone call. This office caused me way more stress than any part of my pregnancy! My DRs office shouldn't give me constant anxiety. It's not a true midwifery even though they have midwives. It's not really any different than a normal doctors office. Which is probably why they had twice as many midwives, when the DR in charge first took over around 2019 (or whatever), VS now. The other midwives there are cold and dismissive and political. One was Wearing a very politically charged shirt for my very first appointment with her. I refuse to schedule with her after that. If we have more kids we won't be returning here even though I love my midwife. I don't need a DRs office that is constantly threatening to drop me for this and that and stressing me out at least once a month. Never able to schedule me out or get me the appts I need. Midwiferies are supposed to be supportive of alternative care, patient choice and so forth. I'm in control of my healthcare and since they don't like/agree with that, I'll be taking any future business elsewhere. i am apart of a group on Facebook or local moms, and it's a very clean among the patients. Sad because it used to be the best midwifery in Jacksonville.

I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I do believe they…read morehave too many patients and that is why they can't keep up and hopefully they will stop taking new patients so they can actually be there for women that need them. I will also note that I do like some ladies there and I think they knew they were overworked. My birth story actually happened 9 months ago and I am finally able to speak on it. At 37 weeks after my entire pregnancy being head down my son decided to move into a transverse position. I was told if I went into labor I'd have to call 911 and stay in a downward facing dog position until I was taken to the hospital. I was told I would be sent information on how to naturally turn him which I never received but I did my own research and tried different techniques and went a chiropractor. After a week by son was in a more breech position but still transverse. I was told at 39 weeks they would schedule a evc procedure but if they didn't call me by Thursday I needed to call them. I had to call and no one seemed to know what was going on and then I got a call saying to go to uf downtown they gave some different time options I picked a time and went when I was "scheduled". The hospital had no idea I was coming they didn't know why they had no papers nothing, nobody called them. Finally sharron calls she didn't know I was going to the hospital that day but I had talked to Serena literally the day before about what time I needed to be there so a confused shit show for all parties. Finally I was put in a room at the hospital they said they needed to monitor the baby so they can to the evc procedure the next day and that it would be taken in the operating room with an epidural..... I was told from my midwives they would give me a muscle relaxer for the procedure not an epidural not in the operating room. Next day rolls around evc super scary super painful even with epidural it failed and I had to have an emergency c section. Not any of the midwives called to check I got a text just asking how everything went the next day. They told me they will handle my after care check ups. My first appointment after birth I sat in my car still in pain and recovering also my newborn was in the car to be called in (COVID rules) I waited over an hour until I called the office to reschedule as I was outside. I was told they were double booked. A term I heard quite frequently my entire pregnancy with them. I went to one more appointment and realized I was just a number to them. I never went to my last appointment and they never called. If you do decide to use fruitful vine midwives please ask every single one of them that you meet and you meet them all ask what they do in case of emergencies. I didn't and I completely 100% regret paying them over 5,000 dollars for the worst pregnancy, birth and after care treatment I have ever experienced and seen.

No one informed me that the woman performing the insertion would be unable to administer a cervical block (which was recommended by friends and family who had the procedure done there as well). I let it go, but upon meeting the doctor performing the insertion, I was quickly annoyed. She was incredibly rude and dismissive of my concerns. She was unable to properly insert the IUD (not due to fault on her part), however she continued to try, leaving me in extreme pain and uncomfortable. Given her dismissive remarks at the beginning of our meeting, I was not sure when I should call it quits. Finally, I started crying from the pain and she stopped. I then attempted to schedule another appointment. This process was drawn out over 2 weeks. First, I kept hearing the message that plays when the office is closed, even though they weren't. When I finally got ahold of someone they said they were working on it, but couldn't do anything to help me. I kept calling multiple times a day. Finally, someone got ahold of the scheduling people. They had a question for their supervisor and would call me back. Of course, no one did. As I said, this went on for 2 weeks until I finally managed to get an appt. I scheduled my next appointment through this office with the actual OBGYN downtown. My appointment was set for a specific date that I would be able to travel into town as a college student and at 8:30am. I made the trip back to town and never received a confirmation call as I normally did with the office. So I called the day before my scheduled appointment and was rudely told the appointment was for 2pm the next day, not 8:30am, still downtown. Annoyed, I said okay and made new plans to get downtown. Upon getting to the downtown office, the receptionist informed me my appointment was actually TWO weeks away. I was incredibly frustrated given that I had JUST confirmed the day before. Fortunately, the downtown office was incredibly understanding and squeezed me in. The Mandarin office is, however, incredibly unprofessional. The medical team made me feel uncomfortable and dismissed, while the remainder of the staff was continuously rude over the phone and failed to inform me of appointment changes that they were making without consulting me.
