After doing some research and talking to several doulas - I decided to go with Loving Hands Childbirth doula - Linda Wolters. After the first talk on the phone I felt so comfortable communicating with her and she explained the job of a doula and more importantly she made it apparent that she was a doula and more by being available to voice any concerns to any time of the day. We had an initial meeting where we discussed my vision of labor and birth and she helped me clarify some key points. She's very informative and always has an answer to my concerns or questions. Throughout my pregnancy she wanted to be kept abreast of any changes and progress made. She helped a lot with any fears I had about the pregnancy. We had determined that I would have a natural birth in the birthing pool. However, I ended up being induced and having a slightly complicated labor due to hypertension. She arrived at the hospital and remained with me the whole entire time, I don't even remember her taking a break or nap or leaving to get anything. She encouraged me with every contraction and praised me for the progress I was making. She kept me focused whenever the nurse or doctor tried to pressure me into several interventions. She had several techniques to help alleviate pain - aromatherapy (that was great, the smell of peppermint), sacral massage, birthing ball, breathing techniques, and coaching for the daddy. In the end I did it - gave birth to my beautiful daughter without pain medicine until after she was born. I really don't think I could have made it through all of that without her there - it was like having a best friend to hold your hand throughout everything. She didn't leave immediately after the birth either - she stayed to make sure I was bonding well with little one. She will soon be visiting me again for my post partum visit and also she was encapsulating my placenta. I would highly recommend Linda to anyone who is pregnant, I really feel that a doula is needed for every pregnancy. I even talked my friend into getting a doula and she loved the process of having that extra support that only a woman can provide.

After moving I decided to find a new doctor. After searching for days online I came across Dr. sheyna carroccio! Long story short she helped me solve my IUD problems. I literally love her so much! She's so down to earth and comforting. She listens and doesn't rush you off and actually explains things in a way you'll understand. I look forward to seeing/talking with her at every appointment. If you're on the look out for a new OBGYN see Dr. Carroccio! She's amazing!!!!! The front desk staff could use some improvement. Their friendliness and attitudes definitely don't match the doctors/nurses in the back. They seemed to be bothered when you check in/check out and don't seem to be very informed in the insurance co pays/etc.

My experience with North Florida Women's Care was extremely disappointing and honestly felt more…read morelike pressure than care. At 36 weeks pregnant, I was already being asked repeated of times for cervical checks and told they were "very necessary," when in reality, many women are told these are optional unless there's a clear medical reason. Instead of being given balanced information, I felt like my choices were being dismissed.do your research people care about you and your baby !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What really crossed the line for me was how early and aggressively C-sections were being brought up. At only 36 weeks, I had multiple conversations that felt like they were steering me in that direction without any urgent medical need. That didn't feel like preparation--it felt like unnecessary escalation. I specifically had issues with both Liann Ammar, MD and Karen Harris, MD, MPH. Dr. Harris in particular came across as very pushy about the idea of a C-section before we were even close to that point, which made me extremely uncomfortable. Instead of feeling supported, I felt like I was being managed and directed. Another major problem is the complete lack of consistency. Every single appointment, I saw a different doctor. There was no continuity of care, no real relationship, and no sense that anyone truly understood my pregnancy or preferences. It felt impersonal and disorganized. Between the inconsistency, the pressure around procedures, and what I experienced as a lack of transparency, I made the decision to leave and go elsewhere for my care. This is my personal experience, but I strongly encourage anyone considering this practice to do their own research and advocate for themselves. Don't just accept everything at face value--ask questions about interventions like Pitocin, epidurals, and C-sections so you understand the risks, benefits, and alternatives. For example, Pitocin can intensify contractions significantly, which can make labor feel much more intense than natural progression. Epidurals can be helpful for pain, but they also come with trade-offs that should be clearly explained so you can make an informed choice that's right for you. At the end of the day, you deserve to feel heard, respected, and fully informed during your pregnancy--not pressured or rushed into decisions. Based on my experience, I would not recommend North Florida Women's Care. Then I went to a woman's birthing center in Ocala that doesn't shove epidurals or C-sections or anything of the such in your face and I had my baby there. They did a wonderful job they take care of you like family. I highly recommend them to anybody that's looking for someone that's gonna care for you and your baby that's gonna keep up with you and your I just want the best for you and your New born baby!!!!

I love Sams personality even though i know she has a lot of patients she always treated me like an old friend. She's wonderful at encouraging you and getting you through those last few weeks when you feel like baby will never come lol. I loved the length of each appointment and the fact that it never felt rushed. The hands off care was also nice. Testing your own urine and doing your own group B strep Test made it way less invasive. Just because Sam is less invasive didn't mean she wasn't willing to do things that you wanted. I was really glad when she was happy to do a membrane sweep for me and I wasn't met with contempt which is sometimes the case with midwifes. The actual birth was great. Sam is amazing at reading the room. She was very hands off in the beginning but in the end she was right next to me telling me I was doing great and almost done. She had cool cloths for my forehead on hand. I loved how she guided me to deliver my own baby girl right into my own hands. Its a memory I will never forget. The birth took place in the early morning and I remember Sam helping my husband to collect my other children and introduce them to their new sister. I had a slight hemorage after that was delivered in the form of a clot almost the same size as my placenta. Sam was very attentive. She stayed for awhile after to make sure my bleeding didn't increase and made sure i had some iron supplements before i left. I loved my birth and all the care i received. We moved shortly after my birth. Sam once again made time for me to stoop by the office for a goodbye hug.

I've sat on this review since my birth in September. It's retraumatizing to sit down and write out…read morethis experience and try to figure out what is necessary to include when there was so much that happened. But I know it's important for pregnant people to see my experience when they are trying to find a safe place to do one of the most vulnerable things a person can ever do. I want to give every raw detail. But I'm going to try to keep it as concise as I can. If you're pregnant, do not read about my birth. It's a scary experience that you do not need in your head. But. Please please please reconsider birthing here. The likelihood of complications happening are low for most women. HOWEVER, you want to know that if you go somewhere they are fully quipped and prepared to handle it. My initial complication wasn't their fault, and they did save my baby's life, but it was as much luck as it was skill. They were extremely unprepared and could not find life saving equipment when it was needed. We are lucky to have our sweet boy with us and I'll always feel indebted to caity for some of that, but do not trust this birth center to take seriously what went wrong in and after our birth. 1. They are unorganized. For a majority of my lab work I would have to call to get the results because they would forget to post them or contact me. 2. The birth. We were left mostly alone through a lot of labor. My close friend was there as support and has had only births with midwives with all 4 of her kids. She said she's never seen such inattentive care. After several pushes they realized he had shoulder dystocia and was stuck. From here Caity did everything correct to get him out. But he came out unresponsive and blue. They could not find the equipment to resuscitate him, but my friend had seen it at some point and grabbed it. When they opened it they realized it was broken so caity had to perform mouth to mouth. He came to and they put him in my arms. From there they continued to struggle with getting my baby's vitals for what we think was close to an hour. Finally they got Sam to come up and help. They never took care of me outside of the immediate stitches and birthing my placenta. I laid on the bed naked, in shock, and in extreme pain for hours. My friend is the one who kept putting blankets on me to at least cover me. No one offered me a shower. They also didn't bring my baby to me. I didn't get to breastfeed while there. They kept him a lot of the time, taking pictures with him, and hanging out in the lobby. Because I was in shock and in so much pain I didn't realize what was happening. Time didn't make sense. They finally discharged us and told us to go to the hospital because his sugar wasn't leveling out. Sam did make sure to emphasize that we were going to wolfson on our own accord. We stayed in the nicu for the night and that is when I finally got to shower at 2am in our nicu room. I gave birth at 6:30pm. I was still covered in blood and fluids up until that point, 7ish hours after birth. At my follow up a few days later Caity seemed to downplay the whole thing and referred to his resuscitation as "light rescue breaths." That was when I started to feel off about everything and when my husband and friend finally told me what they witnessed. I feel most of this was on Sam. It is her birth center and she should have procedures to make sure each room is stocked properly with the right equipment. We caught a lot of little and big lies afterward that I am not comfortable sharing here. But I am left extremely distrusting of her in particular. I never scheduled my 6 week postpartum visit because I felt so unsafe with them after this. They also didn't put effort into contacting me to see why. Our biggest concern of possible brain damage from lack of oxygen. We will have to keep an eye on him for the first couple of years to make sure he continues to hit milestones.

I…read morewant to start by saying that the office staff at Full Circle were wonderful throughout my pregnancy. At every appointment the team was kind, attentive, and caring, and my prenatal experience at the practice itself was positive. Unfortunately, my hospital experience during labor and after delivery is what ultimately led me to leave this review and decide not to return to the practice. During labor, one of the providers, Lauren Hontz, did not make me or my husband feel supported during a very vulnerable and difficult time. I felt pushed toward getting an epidural and later toward a C-section while I was already struggling through labor. The epidural was placed incorrectly (which I understand is hospital staff, not the practice), but the situation overall felt very poorly handled. In addition, my husband felt dismissed during the process. At one point he was essentially pushed to the corner of the room and excluded from what was happening. That lack of support for both of us made an already stressful experience even harder. I do want to add that Dr. Morrow, who ultimately delivered our baby, was absolutely wonderful and made us feel much more at ease with her expertise. Overall, while my prenatal care at the office was great, the labor and delivery experience at the hospital is the reason I have chosen not to return to this practice.

I want to start by saying my midwife, there, is the ONLY reason I put up with this office a second…read moretime. But it's time to review. The rest of this office is rude. Check-in is rude, checkout is even more rude and gives you issues when you try to schedule with a certain person. Even when it's written in your chart that you only see specific people. They will try to bully you into doing everything they want. If you heard this was a crunchy friendly office, that was true about six or seven years ago. But no more. If you try to forgo anything, get ready for a massive fight. We paid THOUSANDS of dollars ($6-7000), in cash, up front for appts and delivery for them to tell me they wouldn't schedule me for more appointments, at 34 weeks, and would fire me unless I got a 3 hour glucose test done...after my one hour came back 2 point too high Something that happened my first pregnancy with them too and came back completely normal for the 3 hr. (No surprise there). When I got there for my appt without having it done they threatened to FIRE me if I didn't do it within 48 hrs. Reluctantly went and got a three hour done and surprise surprise it was normal. They only opened the schedule for the following month on random days close to the new month, so you can never schedule out. They tell you they'll call you when it opens, but they don't. So by the time you go to schedule your preferred time and midwife, it is already booked out. That is if you can get them to answer your phone call. This office caused me way more stress than any part of my pregnancy! My DRs office shouldn't give me constant anxiety. It's not a true midwifery even though they have midwives. It's not really any different than a normal doctors office. Which is probably why they had twice as many midwives, when the DR in charge first took over around 2019 (or whatever), VS now. The other midwives there are cold and dismissive and political. One was Wearing a very politically charged shirt for my very first appointment with her. I refuse to schedule with her after that. If we have more kids we won't be returning here even though I love my midwife. I don't need a DRs office that is constantly threatening to drop me for this and that and stressing me out at least once a month. Never able to schedule me out or get me the appts I need. Midwiferies are supposed to be supportive of alternative care, patient choice and so forth. I'm in control of my healthcare and since they don't like/agree with that, I'll be taking any future business elsewhere. i am apart of a group on Facebook or local moms, and it's a very clean among the patients. Sad because it used to be the best midwifery in Jacksonville.
