And yes, even an air blower for those difficult areas and window cleaner with rag. I wasn't certain if you could just do ONE wash cause everywhere I saw "club member" so I was a bit apprehensive. An attendant must have seen my confusion and came out to help. She guided me through the onscreen menu and then I entered the tunnel carwash. Exactly as advertised for just washing and very affordable. I live in North Raleigh and am hoping for a location here.

After coming out, I found that the car wash had left significant scratches on the passenger side of the hood continuing towards the passenger door. Another gentleman had the same scratches in a similar place on his car, and he also went through a similar experience as I lay out in this review. I immediately alerted the staff on site. They had 2 teenagers working who could not have cared less. After about 40 minutes, we finally got a manager on the phone, who had us fill out a form to report the damage. I submitted the form and emailed it to the manager. Within a week, I obtained an estimate to fix the damage for about $500. I provided that by email to the manager. What followed was the most unprofessional series of events I've ever experienced. The manager essentially ghosted me. No response after multiple emails. No follow up from corporate. I waited until today to attempt to receive a response, but I'm fed up with waiting and am posting this review in hopes that Whistle Express corporate steps in to make this right. Do not take your car to this car wash. If their wash damages your car, you will never hear from them again in getting the damage fixed.

I went through the wash and was vacuuming when the manager stopped by my car. He saw bug stains on my car grille and bumper and aplogized that his crew/process did not address all the bug stains. He had me pull around, where he addressed the stains manually and put my car back through the wash with an 'upgraded' service (I bought a 'value' wash). Great experience!

I simply wanted to remove some pollen and rain, but I instantly regretted the decision. Honestly, I would have been better off leaving the car dirty. After going through the wash, my vehicle's paint was scratched and damaged. Keep in mind, this is a brand-new vehicle. I called the number provided and was told to return to the site and ask for Dan. I did that and completed a damage report, but instead of addressing the issue, I was told that my car already had "random scratches all over it." That explanation is unacceptable. The scratches were clearly caused by the car wash equipment. Other customers have reported similar issues, which raises serious concerns about the condition of the machinery being used. What's even more disappointing than the damage itself is the lack of accountability and poor customer service. Rather than taking responsibility or properly investigating the issue, the situation was dismissed.

By this point, the damage was already done. Dry brushes left me with severe scratches to the roof and hood. When I noticed and took it back to discuss it with the manager, he came out of the office with a sample of the brushes claiming there was no way that was caused from their wash. This tells me they get this complaint a lot if they have a response at the ready. Common sense tells me that if the car is dirty, and the brushes(regardless of how soft they are) aren't lubricated by water, it's going to cause scratches. Regardless, the manager claimed he would submit a damage claim. It's been over a week with no correspondence, so I checked in with corporate, and they've received nothing. They told me to go back and talk to the manager, which based on my previous visit, would be a waste of time. Zips doesn't seem to want to take responsibility for their error, neither at the corporate level or local. Very disappointing. For value of damage. Professional detailer said no amount of paint correction would fix this. Two body shops have quoted between $4-5k to fix stating it needs to be repainted. Stay away from Zips.
