I recently went to this location to get my vehicle washed. My car was brand new--less than two days old. I simply wanted to remove some pollen and rain, but I instantly regretted the decision. Honestly, I would have been better off leaving the car dirty. After going through the wash, my vehicle's paint was scratched and damaged. Keep in mind, this is a brand-new vehicle. I called the number provided and was told to return to the site and ask for Dan. I did that and completed a damage report, but instead of addressing the issue, I was told that my car already had "random scratches all over it." That explanation is unacceptable. The scratches were clearly caused by the car wash equipment. Other customers have reported similar issues, which raises serious concerns about the condition of the machinery being used. What's even more disappointing than the damage itself is the lack of accountability and poor customer service. Rather than taking responsibility or properly investigating the issue, the situation was dismissed. read more

An ok car wash that gets the job done. Pricing is a bit higher, but becomes quite reasonable if you choose to do the subscription, though you do need other give 7 days notice to cancel minimum, good thing is though that it is still valid until the end of billing cycle so do with that what you will. One downside imo of their subscription is that while it is 1 wash a day, it is limited to a single vehicle. The quality of wash is also ok. One thing I do appreciate is that they offer both the standard with spinning brushes and touchless at all tiers (also that undercarriage wash is included in pretty much all tiers of wash). Quick note about the touchless, it is ok for maintenance if you dont have any actual dirt or salt or dust on your car as it does nothing to remove any of that, just has barely any pressure and misses plenty of spots. Now, with that said, I have tried both (the former on accident), and even at the highest tier with the graphene whatever they offer, it is just ok. From a distance it is ok, but it doesn't get all parts, and up close there are plenty of missed spots. On top of that, the finish just simply does not last, at all, all the benefits like beading and water stain resistance are barely there to begin with and quickly disappear after a couple days and even the gloss starts diminishing a good amount. The workers, while kind, can at times be fairly rough with the brush they use to sort of prewash/soak the car, or windows only if you specify, before you roll into the tunnel, almost just banging it around your car and honestly scaring me a tad as to the potential damage they may be doing. With this said, they are fairly accommodating if you ask them to only use the brush on glass, do touches, etc. Afterwards they have bays available with vacuums. The vacuums, I adored, just fantastic pressure and cleaning up everything, also avail be in both the narrow and broad tip to both get into the nooks and crannies or clean larger swaths. In addition there is pressurized air with a nozzle available which is fantastic, great at getting rid of grit or just dirt in hard to reach/clean areas. they also have carts available with spray bottles of interior or glass cleaner, and stacks of supposedly clean microfiber towels and a bin to dispose them in once used. Now I say supposedly and they claim they are fresh, but recently every time I use them they leave behind a musty, almost mildewy scent inside my car. Now it goes away fairly quickly, but it is coming from either the spray or the towels, either way, not great. The towels have also felt a bit damp a couple times ive grabbed them and im unsure if this is on them, or just other customers restacking them instead of tossing used ones into the bin. read more

outstanding customer service. I visited Tidal Wave Apex yesterday for a wash. We had just had a week in Florida and I wanted to get the car washed and vacuumed. I went through the wash and was vacuuming when the manager stopped by my car. He saw bug stains on my car grille and bumper and aplogized that his crew/process did not address all the bug stains. He had me pull around, where he addressed the stains manually and put my car back through the wash with an 'upgraded' service (I bought a 'value' wash). Great experience! read more

My sticker never worked when I went to the wash and had to wait for someone to come over and let me through, then they proceeded to say it's my fault even though they put the sticker on my windshield. Their customer service when trying to cancel your plan is nonexistent. The wash itself is super rough on vehicles and damaged one of my windshield wipers but I don't have the time to complain to them and try to get it taken care of. read more

The car wash itself was OK, and there was plenty of spaces and cloths for the wipedown afterwards, but there was a problem. The employee who signed me up for the premium deal did not tell me that it automatically charges your credit card every month. That is a deal breaker, and a big problem. So if you are offered a 'special deal' be sure and ask, does this automatically renew before you sign up! read more

Warning! Be careful if you have an older vehicle! My 2001 F150 went through a simple wash and came out severely stained. Newer vehicles are able to stand the chemicals they use. My old truck suffered to the point it needed a complete detail to come clean. Mgmt did not want to take responsibility. Steer clear if you want to keep a nice car. read more

Tidal Wave Car Wash, Apex, NC..if I have to get out of my vehicle and apply a solution on it and apply elbow-greese to remove what the carwash didn't remove...what's the point. $22.00 for your Dry & Shine service was a WASTE OF MONEY & TIME. Your pre-scrub was just water with a little soap. You had one guy to quickly pre-scrub the front & back windshields, 4 tires, 2 side mirrors and front grill; which was a WASTE OF TIME...because my rims weren't clean, the 2 side mirrors looked like they were never scrubbed, and I had to scrub the bugs off and out of my front grill. Normally, I'll wash me own car, because most car washes are a RIP-off. I've had my car washed at Bucees and they scratched the hood of my vehicle. And, their price was ridiculous, too. Maybe if I lived near by I might be better off getting your 30 days wash for $34.00+tax&tips. But, who takes their vehicle to the car wash 30, 20, 15, 10 times in a month? read more

This car wash is in a convenient location and has friendly service. However, ever time I go there, there aren't enough items available to clean and wipe down your vehicle. Especially the last time I visited when there were no towels or cleansers available at all. When you can't wipe down the car's interior and windows, it feels like you're not getting the full value for what you pay at this self-service car wash. With the long line, it seemed like a great car wash location. When it was my turn to pick my wash and pay, I was asked if I wanted this "special for the day" which was my picked wash for the whole month. I asked, "what am I signing up for after that?" I was told nothing. Admittedly, I didn't really believe this "nothing" answer but I said sure. I wanted to get my car washed and on with my day. Lo and behold! At the bottom of my receipt it stated I signed up for their Unlimited Membership and would be charged the $34.97/monthly fee after my first month of washes. Cancellations may take up to 7 days due to processing. It is now on me to cancel something I didn't specifically sign up for and was told I wasn't agreeing to anything after the first month? Unexceptionable went in for a one time car wash and the young man taking money said we are giving free washes for the month suck some thing in my window. He said we just renovated. thought nothing of if until my credit card was debited 53.59 this month. Called customer service immediately and they canceled my account I misunderstood that no refund was going to be posted. I do not even live in Apex why would I even pay for a plan. I found this place on Yelp and wow I am so glad I did! This a a clean, nice car wash place where you sit in your car as it goes through the wash cycle. Two young men with soft brushed brush the car before it even enters the wash cycle. I noticed that the brushes and cloths in the cycle were not as "rough" as the car was I previously went to. It did not seem to be as damaging to the car as the previous place, yet did a good job of cleaning. You then pull around to many stalls where you can use the vacuums, cleaning cloths and spray. Not only is your car sparkling on the outside, you can clean all you want on the inside! Perfect! Everyone that I encountered there was professional and courteous. I drove by Tidal Wave on my way home today and decided to stop in for a wash. The free sign drew me in, apparently they are offering a complimentary cleaning for a few days since it JUST opened. The business is conveniently located off of 64 as you head into Apex. I was greeted by an attendant that told me about the unlimited wash club, that retails for $29.99. Probably not something I would use, but I have friends in other states that enjoy this type of membership. I'm more of the type that washes my car once every 4-5 weeks. The car wash was fun to go through, lots of bright colors, kids will enjoy it! I was really pleased with the way the exterior of my car looked too. I don't think my car interior had been cleaned since I got it last fall, so I was super excited to see that they had free vacuums! I also spotted bottles of cleaning solution and rags, so I left after I cleaned the inside of my vehicle as well. I will definitely be back here, I really like that I can go through the wash and tidy my car after. read more

This is usually my go to place but I won't be back for a while. The line for non-members was super long and the person taking my payment spent so much time delivering his sales pitch on why I need a monthly subscription that he let three cars go in front of me. This was after I waited in line for 10 min and the cars that were allowed to go before me drove in long after me and didn't wait at all. I get that they want to sell memberships but my time is limited and there are other options for where I can wash my car. read more

Firstly, its a good wash for what I refer to as a "scratch and shine" wash (the cleaners are made of plastic, so continued use will eventually cause scratches in the clearcoat.) My only gripe is that the back of your car is soaked at the end of the wash. Free vacuums and microfiber towels to use afterwards, which is great. read more

i went to get a car wash here i got the 20$ package, which included hot wax. first my car was barley clean i didn't notice any difference. and come to find out after 1 week of having my car cleaned the hot wax started showing on my car in terrible little patches. it's all over my car. highly disappointed because i saw this place had really good reviews read more

New car wash! Stopped by in the afternoon, the staff was friendly and signed up for the monthly membership $10 extra. Kids enjoyed the colorful drive thru car wash. I like that the tunnel area is longer than most ones I have used before, the suds smell good and the dryer worked pretty good. There are plenty of spots to vacuum your car BUT the best thing I appreciated was they have towels and windex for guest to use. Like the idea. read more

Beware. Had a random charge on my credit card about a month after going here for the first and only time. Spent several weeks calling their customer service for an explanation but could never get through (endless hold music) and no response from voicemails. Finally got a hold of them today only to be told the charge was for a monthly subscription (that I did not sign up for) but they couldn't refund the charge because it was past 7 days. I had an amazing experience today at Tidal Wave Auto Spa. I hardly ever get my car washed but I decided to go in today since my car was filthy. Dan Richardson helped me and was a delight to be around. Not only was he incredibly polite and conversational, but the community between the employees was great to see as it has become rare these days at businesses. Besides the wonderful customer service, the actual car wash was fantastic. My car has never been so clean and they even got all the tough spots off of my windshield that I have never been able to get off on my own. One of my favorite features is The unlimited washes subscription. $29.99 per month and you can was your car every day if you want! This is their high end, best wash. If you add a second car, it is only $24.99 for the 2nd car. Another great feature is the free vacuums that are very strong. Also they have complementary towels to dry of any water drops that did not come off through their high powered automatic dryer. Last but not least, their customer service is top notch. I hate that I even have to address this. I have had a membership for about a year or more and I use to love getting my car washed here until last Sunday on Mother's day. It was almost closing time and like all the time the ones that are pre washing your car are running the cars thru. They rushing the cars through and this particular day the employee was waving for me to move forward and of course I move forward I'm on the racks and the machine is pulling my car forward and as I was going forward I noticed the car in front of me was coming back and before I knew it the car in front if me hit my car . Mind you the employee didn't even notice at first. I had to hit my window to get her attention. Even though not much damage was done I was still upset, because I pay alot for my vehicle. The person that hit my car is going to pay for the damage, but this would have never happened if the employees would not run the line so fast I reached out to the district manager to try to address this issue and she basically brushed me off and kept making excuses. When a customer calls to complain one of the first things you do is apologize, but I could tell basically she didn't care she just wanted to get me off the phone. Terrible customer service. Needless to say a canceled my membership and I know they could care less. I was nice about this issue, but the next time this happens and believe it's going to happen again and the next person isn't going to be as nice. Count your blessings read more

You go through the process like normal but then begin to notice the Noodle washers do not touch at all.Long story short at least have a disclaimer at the front telling you what the wash does probably set a base price for jeep owners instead of overcharging for expensive hose off. read more

Done with the management at this facility. Your workers are fine and very pleasant. I merged my two accounts to a family plan commented we wont have an issue with my van ? they replied nope.. sure enough 2 additional times had an issue finally today - the worker at the gate apologized and unfortunately I had to back up and head over to the main building .. The manager comes out of the building already questioning his employee - I explain the situation , not happy get it fixed. He did not apologize he asked if I had the number on the windshield.. I had to take a picture of it so I could read it - he says just read it , had to explain that I could not because being over 50 . clearly he was not a happy person , neither was I! .. I tell him I want a new tag - figuring the RFID sync is messed to the master record. he comes out and says the tinting on the windshield may be an issue - I tell him never had an issue before- he then gives me the attitude... do you want it fixed or not .. I was like of course .. but i stewed on that.. what kind of attitude .. I was done -- put the tag on .. had to back out and go through the the gate again , It finally worked -- I role up and i ready to just be done with this place .. walk up and tell him it worked -- he proceeds to tell me about my kyak rack -- which I have been told about before and had no issue with it.. i was just done .. still no apology for my inconvience.. so I told him to cancel my subscription on all my cars.. and on his way back still - told him to fxck off .. thats how pissed he made me.. went through wash and now canceling .. you know all he had to do was hey so sorry you are having problems .. lets see if we can get it fixed.. we have really good luck with these tags on the base of the window.. something.. but no.. so done with you and will be writing a social media report on you.. read more

My first visit. Selection menu was daunting but attendant was very helpful and steered me through. Got very basic wash which was very satisfactory. A guy at start scrubbed the front and rear with a soapy brush. Then track pulled the car through while I remained in the car. Plentiful self help vacuum and wiping stations with microfiber cloths and window spray. Impressive and quick if you don't mind the self help. read more

Its the auto wash I used in a while. I work for a local dealer. I've used auto washes before and by far can beat it.

Definitely worth it. You go through the wash and then you vacuum out your car and use the provided supplies to wash your windows. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is the first 2 vacuums I tried to use were clogged up and I had to move to a different one to get decent suction. I recommend taking a tube of armor all towels with you if you really want to clean your interior. read more

I've been reading reviews (mostly bad reviews) on car washes in the Cary/Apex area and finally decided to check this one out. My white car really needed a bath and the equipment seemed gentle to my car while giving it a good cleaning! They have many areas for you to use their high suction vacs (free) and clean cloths (good quality) and spray. I chose their basic wash for $10 and I will be back! I've already referred a friend, who went later the same day that I went, and she was happy as well. read more
