$ Handyman Alex SERVICE REQUESTED: I was able to reach out…read moreto Alex with no problem at all, and I described the issue with the toilet - simply running for an extended period after a routine flush, which I recognized as a "flapper" problem, the rubber flapper was not seating properly and the water ran until shutting off the valve. Alex was quick with his reply and we arranged to meet at my home on the 4th of July, and he arrived exactly on time. At first, it took a few moments to catch on to his accent. This very pleasant handyman is formerly a Russian, and he is perfectly happy to be alive and working in the home of the brave. In he walked, very confident, with a fairly lrge satchel full of assorted tools. I brought him to the site of the offending troublesome valve and he set to work on it at once. In what was probably less than 20 minutes, he had the toilet flushing perfectly, at least 4 times, allowing a fill each time. Congratulations Alex! QUALITY: One cannot argue with success. The job was handled properly, promptly, with hardly a word spoken. At one point, he wanted to draw my attention to a part, and when he wasn't able to say it, he apparently tooked it up and showed me the translated word on his phone. Clever, this fellow, quick and clever. VALUE: Alex had agreed with me in advance regarding the fee. He was happy to take my check and after talking with me in general about some painting (Ceiling) I might wish to complete, for which he gave me a fine estimate, he drove away. SUMMARY: Alex did exactly what he was asked to do. There was no holding out for more money or any such nonsense. Fee was perfect. Very highly recommended without reservation.

There was an outside door light that did not work. There were electrical panel boxes outside that were so rusted that the only thing holding them together was a coat of paint. Carlos was our technician. He used the same light fixture but converted it to LED. He traced the circuits. He fixed the wiring in the three way. He tackled the boxes and showed me where someone had put a screw from through the hot and ground wire and where it almost caused a fire. He fixed that. He got the security light working again. He put a GFCI outlet on so I could use my pellet grill. He did a lot of work and it was done properly and to present "code" standards. I am so happy with the job they did I am going to have them come back and put some more garage outlets in for my future woodshop. In the over and beyond category, he even escorted a snake out of our pool cage. Highest praises, recommend them!

Quality Service. Pleasant Experience. Highly Recommend…read more This was the second time I have used Andrew Fuhrmann and I am pleased with both services. The first time was a minor repair. He came to provide an estimate and he was able to repair on the spot. I was still waiting for other vendors to even return my call. Since front entryway screen and door was a more expensive service, I got a few estimates from other vendors. Some vendors provided estimates without even coming to the house. Andrew came to the house, did some measurements and asked us more specifics of what we wanted. His cost estimate was in the middle range from other vendors. I felt that he better understood what I wanted so I chose him for the service. Him and his wife were both pleasant to work with. Good communication, and follow up. They provided all the information needed for HOA approval, ordered the parts once I received Approval, and then emailed me when the parts arrived to schedule installation that same week. He came to the house 30 minutes early and installed the front entryway screen within 3 hours. I took pictures and showed my friends. His work also has 1 year warranty. Will definitely use Andrew again and will highly recommend him to my friends.

We hired Joe the Home Pro to inspect a condo we were placing an offer on. We closed on the property…read moreon August 22, 2024. Since this is not our primary residence, we did not return until March 2025. Upon our return, we discovered severe gutter leakage, which prompted us to bring in several contractors to evaluate the issue. Based on their findings, the inspection missed several significant and visible issues, including: Missing downspout on the front gutter, Missing gutter support wedges, Insufficient gutter brackets, Undersized downspout for a 7" gutter system, Visible mold on the lanai wall (which can be clearly seen in photos), hole in gutter corner, and lanai roof bulging due to water intrusion. These were not minor oversights -- they reflect a lack of thoroughness that borders on professional negligence. Had these been identified in the inspection report, we could have negotiated with the seller or factored in the cost of repairs before closing. We contacted Joe the Home Pro inspection company in early March and requested a site visit to evaluate the areas of concern. I spoke with their office manager and was told that the owner, Joe Nugent, would call me. Despite multiple follow-up calls: twice on March 8, three times on March 10, and twice more on March 11--still requesting a site visit. Later on March 11, I received a single, unprompted, dismissive text message from an unidentified number denying responsibility, citing hurricanes and deflecting blame to the HOA. It also stated that no one would be coming to the condo. No follow-up, no site visit, and no accountability were offered. This response stood in complete contradiction to the values and service commitments stated on their website. We sent a formal letter outlining our concerns, asking that Joe the Home Pro accept responsibility and offer reasonable financial assistance for the missed items. We have since been in communication with an attorney representing Mr. Nugent's company for several months now. They have been unwilling to offer any restitution or remedy, despite the documented oversights. We are left with unexpected, expensive repairs -- costs that could have been avoided with a thorough, competent inspection. We strongly caution anyone considering Joe the Home Pro for home inspection services. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend this company.
