My husband and I love First Class! Some of the teachers are bilingual and will speak to your child in another language if you choose. This daycare does daily reports via email. The reports include what your child did throughout the day (how much he/she ate, slept, played, ect.) They also offer a live video feed where you can log on and view your child's room. I usually log on and see my child on my computer while at work. We've only been here a few months, but so far we love it.
***Review update***
We noticed our son was having issues communicating with other children, but we thought it was something that would pass. He could communicate with us, but he seemed to withdraw from other adults and children. Our son began to act out in daycare and would become frustrated since he could not communicate effectively. He began to push one of his teachers and at one point he even bit her. He had never acted out this way and had never bit anyone before. We became worried and took him to see his doctor. She tested him for autism and informed us he was not autistic. We were relieved but she referred us to an ear, nose, throat
specialist. We asked the daycare if they would work with us until we received a diagnosis to see what could be done regarding his behavior. They said they would (this happened on a Wednesday). I decided it would be best if I took some days off work and had kept our son at home Thursday and Friday. But the next week on Monday they ended up calling my husband and informing him that our son had push his teacher again, and it was time for us to find another daycare. We were stunned! They only "worked with us" for 5 hours before they decided he was "too much trouble". The director Allison told us that one of her employees refused to keep working there if our son remained at the daycare. She blamed our son for her employee quitting. But when I went to pick up my son, I spoke to the other teacher in the class room. She told me that the teacher quit due to internal work issues with other employees. IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH OUR SON!! The teacher I spoke with was actually the one our son pushed and had bitten before. She was still there, while the other teacher (that had never reported any issues regarding our son) had quit. The director told us she would not charge us for the previous week (the week he only went to daycare for about 2 and a half days) and gave us our money back. But it was still not enough to remove the sour taste of our mouths. We took him to see the ENT specialist he informed us that our son was nearly deaf. He had negative pressure in his ears and could barely hear. This was the reason why he was having trouble communicating with his teachers and the other children. Luckily the problem could be easily corrected by inserting tubes in his ears. As soon has he had the tubes in, he became another child. We began to notice he started to sing and listen to his surrounding. It was like a switch had been flipped.
We have since left this daycare. I do not recommend this daycare to ANYONE. We have taken our wonderful child to another daycare that is about 20 dollars cheaper, nicer, and has better security measures than First Class Child. Beware of this daycare. If you child is not perfect (so many few children are) they will not work with you. This daycare has a lot of sparkle but that's about it. Our son is no longer having any issues with communication. He is still behind regarding speech, but we are working with a specialist to get him up to speed. His new daycare is very understanding and loving. He has not pushed, hit, or bitten anyone since having his tubes inserted and his daycare does not have any issues with him.
By the way I would like to note that this daycare does offer parents a credit in their statement if they write a "good review" I honestly could not remember if the review credit was for yelp or Google. But would you trust a daycare that is willing to pay for reviews? read more
