I first came to know of Primrose school of Friendswood in 2013 when my first born had just turned one year old and I found myself missing the work field. I was received by Mrs. Coogan who explained their academic goals for their pupils. I was extremely impressed to find so quickly a place that had me feel confortable with the transition from stay at home mom to leaving my first born in someone else's care. Huge deal, which I never regretted. Yes the price may not be ideal but can you really put a price on your childs care provider? Fast forward a few years Charlee, now 5 years old, can read and write he full name, count to 100 and beyond, add and is now working on subtraction. This has all been posible with the foundation Primrose of Friendswood sowed in her. Spencer, my soon to be 3 year old is currently enrolled and she too has shown great achievement. To address the concern of "is this a safe place for my child?" I personally feel well informed of all activities and changes. Times I have called in to address medicine arrangements or simply to check in, my calls have been well received and addressed. All of this is not to say that an unfit caregiver wont filter through Primrose's interview process, but I do trust that any unfit person who engages in any misconduct will be handled appropriately as I trust their management. Despite filling out the registration paperwork for their before/after school care class 2 months ago, we were just informed (2 weeks before school starts) that they don't have room on their morning bus for our daughter (even with our son freeing up a spot in their bus by moving on to Middle School). So, we're now forced to seek a new childcare location with only 2 weeks before school starts, and she looses all her friends, teachers she loves, etc. They provided no good explanations of why this happened, beyond "we have other families who have multiple kids on the bus" and "we prioritize people who are already in the program" -- which are both BS because our son JUST freed up a spot AND she has been there for almost 5 years, so they've had plenty of notice we would be needing before/after school care. So, they pushed us out, essentially because we only have one child there now, in favor of other people who had more. I'll add that they own and run a second bus in the afternoons that they don't run in the mornings because "staff are expensive" except they are one of the most expensive child care options in the area. All of that said, it *IS* a good school, and this situation was handled in a really really bad way.

Most of the teachers are really great, we loved Mrs Amber and Mrs Sara but our youngest was always getting rashes from their diaper not being changed as soon as possible in the infant room and in the 18+ month class. Not to mention we were still being charged infant prices while they were being taken to the older kids class which costs less. Any time we'd ask about it we were told we're being charged for their age, not the the class. How does that work when the classes have age limits? Don't be surprised if you get plenty of calls from the school to pick your child up for ridiculous reasons. Most of the teachers would get 5 stars, the administration and owners get 2 simply because they do have a good curriculum but are lacking in their morals and dedication to the children themselves.
