She measured my hair put it in 3 ponytails and cut them off. Next came my haircut. I told her I wanted bangs and wanted my hair layered so my curly, wavy hair would be happy and natural. She started cutting and again I made my request for layers I my hair. She continued cutting and I asked her again to layer my hair. She ignored me and left me with a bob. A bob! All of my hair is pretty much I e length. I know she could have cut my hair as requested because she was a general manager or something like that and had worked there for years. I was hoping to get a great salon experience even paying extra for a shampoo and blow dry. I got nothing of the sort. Instead I was treated badly . One of my neighbors gets her hair cut there and she gets a decent haircut. Obviously the woman that cuts her hair is a better stylist than I had today. The vibe at the store is kinda sterile. There were no other customers there except me at about 9:15 am. Evidently they were busy the day before before. And not on Christmas eve. Is that why I got such a terrible haircut? When they closed I asked where she was headed next and followed her here, to her own place! It's super easy to get to, right on Main Street across from the Market. It's in a small room off to the side of the hair salon, it's perfect for one person at a time. There is a seat inside and one outside to wait. No issue really since you should totally just make an appointment with her ahead of time so you won't need to wait when you get there anyway. Shannon does mostly men cuts so far as I know, though I know she does cuts for women too. The reason I go to her is I like someone who knows how to do great fades and understands the difference between a 1 and a 1 1/2. I don't have a ton of hair but I like it well taken care of. Shannon does an epic job. She also offer beard trims and shaves. While I do not get shaved, I do maintain a beard and always book a beard trim after my haircut so I can get it all cleaned up. Shannon has a great hand with a straight razor and I always leave happy and with a great haircut. I would 100% recommend you give her a shot if you're looking for a great barber, shave, and fine detail work.
