The real estate agent should not have license or should be revoked I have filed a complaint against her and the company. Firstly, she didn't have the size and sqft of the apartment and she said she would get back and never did and rushed the entire process with the bs of someone is ready to sign if you guys don't sign. I also have screenshots of all the text messages where she had lied to us telling us that our apartment is a 4th floor walk up and we said that a lot and once we moved we found out that this is actually 6th floor walk up! We send out a huge email with screenshots and everything on 21st Jan 2022, our move in was 15th and Maggi never responded us nor did the building director Joanna. we had a lot of stuff going on as the apartment had no heat at all in the freezing winter, the apartment also has a lot of rats, centipedes crawling everywhere, the walls are leaking and con Edison billed us $240 deposit cuz the apartment was registered as llc/commercial properties. I'm from NYC but i was in Houston for a yr during Covid and flew directly from down there my roommate is from FL and doesn't know anything about NYC. This is unacceptable cuz now we are locked with 13 months of contract.

We could hear everything - the walls were so thin. The heat was another issue we had to constantly ask for it. Living in that apartment was pure hell. So when we moved out I called Margaret to let her know what an awful experience we had and she didn't want to hear it - her response was " I don't know what that has to do with me". We paid her a $1,400 commission based on her assurance that the home owner were "nice people". She conveniently forgot who paid her $1,400 commission we did not the home owner. It's not ethical for Margret to take prospective tenants to this place knowing that the tenants have to endure no heat, constant door slamming and invasion of their privacy. She didn't want to hear it because the commission check had long been cashed and she was not getting another cent from me. As O'Kane states "O'Kane Realty has been serving the Community with Integrity and Ethics for over 21 Years" ... that's not what the Yelp reviews say!!

They keep you informed with what's going on with any maintenance or office schedule changes. They have always been easy and prompt when communicating via email, phone, but most times I stopped by the office and they would drop whatever they were doing to take care of me. As for Alex (the super) he's the best. He always answers the phone or calls right back, but you don't really have to call him because he's always around. I see him nearly everyday. Clearly I couldn't ask for a better management company and will continue to consider staying with Sackman for as long as circumstances allow. Your guys are awesome!!!

Sackman manages the laundry room in my building on 14th st. They jacked up the prices about a year…read moreand a half ago and have not maintained the laundry facilities at all. In February, they were notified that Verizon will no longer service the copper wires used for the WiFi that hosts the payment system for our laundry cards. They knew they would need to get a new internet service provider. It is now June and our payment system has been out of commission for 3 weeks and we have no way to reload our laundry cards to do laundry. Sackman's solution is for us to go to their office on W 73rd st to fill our cards. This is absolutely unacceptable, as this laundry room is their responsibility to maintain.
