Don't be fooled by any good reviews. We had a TERRIBLE moving experience with First Choice Relocation. Warning, this review may be a little long. (A) We were scheduled as the first move of the day, and were told to expect the movers between 8:30 and 9:00 am for a job that should take about 4-5 hours. The team of movers contacted us at 8 am the morning of the move to let us know they would be on the way soon; however, they did not arrive at our house in Broken Arrow (from Jenks) until 9:40am. (B) In addition to taking frequent smoke breaks, the team of movers took an extraordinarily long (1hr 17min) lunch break. I called the office when the movers didn't return after 1 hour, and Macy had to call them to get them to return to the house to finish the job. As of 2pm, the movers had only completed a total of 3 hours of actual work. (C) When the movers returned from their lengthy lunch break, the first guy to walk into our house was someone whom I had never seen before. He wasn't a part of the crew who arrived in the morning, and he apparently replaced the "team lead" while they were gone to lunch. In fact, he claimed to be the "team lead's brother" and would finish the job on his behalf. (D) The crew didn't bring any of their own tools to job. When it came time to do things like take refrigerator doors/handles off, they had to borrow my tools. That was a first for me. (E) We had MAJOR PROBLEMS with the packing job. At 6pm -- more than 8 hours after they began -- we finally had to tell them to stop packing because they were just throwing things in to the back of a trailer. (I'll try to attach images.) We had to travel back to town a week later in order to load another trailer and finish the job. DAMAGED ITEMS: - I have a ceramic smoker on a wooden cabinet on casters that I have moved in the past without incident. I provided specific instructions up front to handle with care; however, the movers forgot to load it on the 26' truck (where they could roll it up a ramp) and instead loaded it on a small 10' trailer where it jostled around during the drive. In addition, they knocked one of the feet loose from the grill while loading it, but neglected to tell me. As a result, my $800 smoker arrive at our new home with a huge crack in the base. - They did not pad, nor wrap, our brand new (2 months old) Maytag washer and dryer. The dryer arrived at our new home with several scratches on the front. (We provided 60 moving pads, which was more than enough for the job.) - They packed our upright piano near the very end of the truck instead of loading it on near the front and did not handle with care nor properly pad it. It arrived at our new home with a deep gouge and multiple scratches on the side. - They neglected to wrap nor pad my large craftsman tool chests (with drawers). Fortunately, they weren't damaged; however, they should have been wrapped. The packing job was haphazard. There were huge holes where nothing was packed. I have pictures that show a tower of boxes tipped over before we even left the house. I'll try to include images that show how bad it was. (F) When I first notified First Choice about the problems, they responded positively and offered to pay to replace and/or repair the damaged items mentioned above. They asked me to provide some proof of the value, which seemed reasonable to me. However, once I provided them with the documentation, they essentially ghosted me. Since providing the information they requested, I have called five times, left 2 or 3 voicemails, and sent 4 or 5 emails, but they refuse to acknowledge or respond to any of my messages. I have moved many times, but until now, I have never received service this poor from any moving company. Hire First Choice Relocation at your own risk.

I called First Choice to receive a quote. I liked the quote and set a move-out date. I called twice before moving day to confirm time and to make sure no one needed to come check out what was being moved. Both times the date and time were confirmed and both times they declined to come look prior basing the quote solely off square footage. When moving day came, many comments were made about how much stuff we had and they didn't think they would be able to move it all. That should not be the customer's concern as they are supposed to be the professionals and had ample opportunity (2 weeks) to come assess a proper quote and what size truck would be needed. Sure enough, we were forced to leave items because there was not enough room in the truck. This forced me to rent a truck ($400 expense) and move the items myself at a later date. When the unloading was finished, the amount due was $200 more than the quote. When I questioned that, they said it was 'more than they planned for' which again seemed like an unprofessional error on their part. I can't do more than calling twice prior to moving date asking if they want to come look at it to give an accurate quote. The day of move-in, we started the washer and flooded our laundry room. The repairman came and pointed out a broken external piece that was caused by a 'heavy impact'. I called to question First Choice about this and they responded that they don't cover this type of thing. Even after explaining that it worked the day before move, the repair man wrote a report that a heavy impact broke the housing piece and that it didn't work just hours after they left, they denied any responsibility. The repairs there cost me $350. So while First Choice did have the cheapest quote, once you tack on the $950 in expenses incurred from either their lack of planning or damage to your property that they ignored or refused to take responsibility for, one would be much better off opting for other competitors. I have included the receipt since every other negative review has a response suggesting they were never a customer.

Kelly and Adrian were prompt, communicative, true to their estimate and, most importantly, they were so careful with our items and our house.

My…read moregoal with this review has always been to warn all women to RECORD EVERYTHING and do not be alone if you can help it anytime you have strange men in your home. Bison was hired by DVIS (Domestic Violence Intervention Services) to get me safely out of my home last August 2025 and Bison failed to provide this. I did everything I was supposed to do and reported what happened to DVIS. That former case mgr told me to call Bison. This in the middle of an out-of-town relocation for my own safety and during recovery from two illnesses while experiencing DV. The owner has the audacity to suggest on Yelp 2 things: That I was reaching out to him (reframing) and that I was somehow responsible for what took place, which is a very interesting way to look at things. In truth, I reached out to the business the week before moving day because I knew I wasn't going to be ready for them to move everything by that Friday. The DVIS case manager, who is a good friend of the business owner (her words) told me to call them and asked for extra help. I have chronic Lyme disease and was recovering from mononucleosis (reactivated Epstein Barr virus due to extreme stress). I'm also a senior. Bison Moving said they had no availability. I was left with no one to turn to for help. The business owner has recently stated on here that he fired his employee, J, over the incident. Good to know -- when I called to speak to the owner in Sept 2025, I was met with hostility and no update. But this predator is still out there somewhere, stated to me that he'd worked there for 5 years, and was 27 at the time. He still felt comfortable enough to text me a week after the move "to check on me and see if I needed any more help". It was scary. He showed no anxiety while in my home on that Friday and Saturday, was very superficially charming and arrogant. He had likely done this before and will likely do it again, only next time it may be worse. Women -- take precautions with all strange men coming into your home. You must protect yourselves from these types because they're everywhere right now. Bison Moving's crew walked into my home knowing why they were there -- J expressed his sympathy and asked for a hug first thing, and it felt icky. He knew I was vulnerable, exhausted, and desperate because he knew DVIS had contracted the move. They all knew. He later asked if he could take his shirt off. I fed two of the crew members because one of them told me he had not even eaten before showing up to work and responded that he was hungry when I asked. And I worked right alongside them, even though I was very ill. At the end of that day when we were all on the elevator, J asked me if I was going to give them a big tip. It was a horrible experience all around. And then J showed up the next day since he just happened to be free on Saturday -- to use more coercive control and assault me, and make some good cash. He told me it was fine with Bison and he did it all the time. He was the team leader and the other two guys said nothing. Fortunately, another company was hired to finish the job at a later date by moving me to my actual new city, and they were fantastic. Zero issues, I felt safe and they exhibited total professionalism, so it is possible.

Four hours in while they were still loading, I offered to buy lunch. The driver quickly said that they would rather have a big tip. The driver told me during this time that he didn't think the truck was big enough for everything and it would require two trips. They gouged a couple of walls being careless. The driver assured me that he would take pictures and it would be fixed. He never did. Upon arrival at my new home, they again gouged walls with the furniture and were in such a hurry to leave that they left most of the furniture wrapped in plastic and blankets. I still tipped the crew but also emailed the company. They did offer to fix the damaged walls and unwrap furniture. At that point I had already taken care of everything myself.

He said he'd find out what was going on, and call me back in 5 minutes. He called back about an hour later, and said they were on the way. They finally showed up at 1:00. Three hours late! I'm supposed to turn my keys in to my apartment by 5, so this is already bad. They said the owner never even told them they were supposed to be there between 9-10. They show up with a small U-Haul truck! I already knew everything wasnt going to fit, but they're determined to try. I was busy doing things myself, and I didn't think they'd need to be supervised, but they were trying to get everything done so fast that they constantly dropped boxes, dropped whole loads off of the dollys, and shoved everything in the truck no matter which way they had to stuff it in. Needless to say, they damaged stuff while doing this, and still couldn't fit it all in! Then they just left for the new house leaving all of my remaining property sitting outside of my apartment! Not only that, they left it all blocking the staircase that 2 other apartments use! During all of this, the boss showed up to help. Never introduced himself as the owner, didn't apologize for the situation, and copped an attitude when I told him how terrible this whole situation was! We got to the new house, and the movers apparently got lost, so it took them over an hour on a 20 minute drive. When I called to inquire about where they were, the owner said, "Well, they've been working hard, and probably stopped to eat. They're human too." What kind of answer is that?! I'm not paying by the hour for them to stop and eat! I hadn't even eaten myself all day because of this situation! Regardless, they got lost, and the owner didn't have a clue what he was talking about. They unloaded everything, and couldn't even put most of the stuff in the right place. It ended up taking 8 hours total to move a 2-bedroom apartment with 4 guys working! The owner said he gave me $100 off, but the total still came out to 8 hours of work. Now, the owner is completely ignoring me about damages. He's extremely unprofessional, hardly ever answers the phone, takes hours or days to call you back, no apologies or regrets at all. I've moved dozens of times in my life, and this was, by far, the worst move ever. Avoid this business like the plague!
