Our home experienced a natural disaster last year, and all our personal items were put in storage until we could get a new home. State Farm recommended First Choice Relocation to move our personal items from storage in Tulsa, Oklahoma to our new home in Edmond, Oklahoma. Facts are as follows: Wednesday, April 5, 2023 -- State Farm Adjuster approved First Choice Relocation's $8,680 bid to move our items from Tulsa storage facility to our new home in Edmond, Oklahoma. Friday, April 21, 2023 -- First Choice Relocation accepted State Farm Insurance Company's contract, and agreed to pick up all our items by April 28, 2023. Friday, April 28, 2023 -- First Choice Relocation picked up all our items at Tulsa storage facility. It took three trucks and one 16-foot trailer which could be delivered "as needed". Tuesday, May 2, 2023 -- First Choice Relocation delivered approximately half our personal items to our new home in Edmond, Oklahoma. We had purchased a smaller home, and simply did not have room for the other half of our personal items. First Choice Relocation was made aware of this before this delivery, and they only brought enough personal items to fill the house and 2-car garage. First Choice Relocation advised us we would need to rent a 2,500 cubic foot self storage unit for the remaining personal items, before the next delivery. Monday, May 8, 2023 -- We advised First Choice Relocation we had rented a 2,700 cubic foot self storage unit and we were ready to receive the remaining personal items. First Choice Relocation advised us they were too busy with a "big job at a dental company", and we would have to be bumped. We rescheduled for May 12, 2023. Friday, May 12, 2023 -- First Choice Relocation advised us they were double booked, and we would be bumped again. First Choice Relocation said they would call back with a new delivery date, but never did. Tuesday, June 6, 2023 -- We called First Choice Relocation to clarify when the delivery would be. First Choice Relocation demanded payment for work done up to date. We told them we would hand them a cashier's bank check when they delivered all the remaining personal items. First Choice Relocation agreed, but no delivery date was set. Monday, June 26, 2023 -- We called First Choice Relocation to clarify when the delivery would be. A date was set for the morning of June 28, 2023. Tuesday, June 27, 2023 -- We visited the bank and created the bank check in the amount of $8,680 made out to First Choice Relocation. The check is ready for their delivery tomorrow. First Choice Relocation called us that afternoon, and canceled the delivery of our personal items, saying we now owed them $21,161.50 and they would hold our personal items until we paid. This is the first time they told us they were charging us $175 per day, per truck, for "Store In Transit" fees. That is 244% of the original amount First Choice Relocation agreed to receive from the insurance company. Wednesday, June 28, 2023 -- First Choice Relocation did not show up to deliver our personal items. First Choice Relocation is clearly trying to take advantage of an elderly woman who lives alone (she is 83 years old). She never signed a contract with First Choice Relocation, and was not aware of any additional fees which may be incurred. First Choice Relocation's deal was with State Farm. First Choice Relocation is holding our personal items hostage, AND charging us $175 per day we do not pay their extortion. This is a classic BAIT AND SWITCH - they bid low to get the contract with State Farm, and then jacked up the price 244% once they had our personal items. read more

First Choice is correctly named. These guys, Eddie and Anthony, were experienced, first rate movers. Worked as a TEAM! And when they weren't able to accomplish something, think large furniture up a stairway with 2 turns, with brains and experience, they had the muscle to bail themselves out. We had moved most of our stuff ourselves, only had 16 large items left and most of them went upstairs in our new house. Took them 30 minutes to load. Took them 1 hour to unload. Don't be fooled by any good reviews. We had a TERRIBLE moving experience with First Choice Relocation. Warning, this review may be a little long. (A) We were scheduled as the first move of the day, and were told to expect the movers between 8:30 and 9:00 am for a job that should take about 4-5 hours. The team of movers contacted us at 8 am the morning of the move to let us know they would be on the way soon; however, they did not arrive at our house in Broken Arrow (from Jenks) until 9:40am. (B) In addition to taking frequent smoke breaks, the team of movers took an extraordinarily long (1hr 17min) lunch break. I called the office when the movers didn't return after 1 hour, and Macy had to call them to get them to return to the house to finish the job. As of 2pm, the movers had only completed a total of 3 hours of actual work. (C) When the movers returned from their lengthy lunch break, the first guy to walk into our house was someone whom I had never seen before. He wasn't a part of the crew who arrived in the morning, and he apparently replaced the "team lead" while they were gone to lunch. In fact, he claimed to be the "team lead's brother" and would finish the job on his behalf. (D) The crew didn't bring any of their own tools to job. When it came time to do things like take refrigerator doors/handles off, they had to borrow my tools. That was a first for me. (E) We had MAJOR PROBLEMS with the packing job. At 6pm -- more than 8 hours after they began -- we finally had to tell them to stop packing because they were just throwing things in to the back of a trailer. (I'll try to attach images.) We had to travel back to town a week later in order to load another trailer and finish the job. DAMAGED ITEMS: - I have a ceramic smoker on a wooden cabinet on casters that I have moved in the past without incident. I provided specific instructions up front to handle with care; however, the movers forgot to load it on the 26' truck (where they could roll it up a ramp) and instead loaded it on a small 10' trailer where it jostled around during the drive. In addition, they knocked one of the feet loose from the grill while loading it, but neglected to tell me. As a result, my $800 smoker arrive at our new home with a huge crack in the base. - They did not pad, nor wrap, our brand new (2 months old) Maytag washer and dryer. The dryer arrived at our new home with several scratches on the front. (We provided 60 moving pads, which was more than enough for the job.) - They packed our upright piano near the very end of the truck instead of loading it on near the front and did not handle with care nor properly pad it. It arrived at our new home with a deep gouge and multiple scratches on the side. - They neglected to wrap nor pad my large craftsman tool chests (with drawers). Fortunately, they weren't damaged; however, they should have been wrapped. The packing job was haphazard. There were huge holes where nothing was packed. I have pictures that show a tower of boxes tipped over before we even left the house. I'll try to include images that show how bad it was. (F) When I first notified First Choice about the problems, they responded positively and offered to pay to replace and/or repair the damaged items mentioned above. They asked me to provide some proof of the value, which seemed reasonable to me. However, once I provided them with the documentation, they essentially ghosted me. Since providing the information they requested, I have called five times, left 2 or 3 voicemails, and sent 4 or 5 emails, but they refuse to acknowledge or respond to any of my messages. I have moved many times, but until now, I have never received service this poor from any moving company. Hire First Choice Relocation at your own risk. read more

We have moved a lot and used these guys twice now. They are awesome! I had a few closets not packed up yet and some messy stuff laying around in the garage. They helped throw all of that in big boxes. We spent one day getting the big stuff and one morning getting storage moved. Very professional and they help assemble things too. It was good to have three men with the big house move. Two moved things while one assembled. I think the cost is 99$ per hour for two movers and 139$ per hour for 3. I called First Choice to receive a quote. I liked the quote and set a move-out date. I called twice before moving day to confirm time and to make sure no one needed to come check out what was being moved. Both times the date and time were confirmed and both times they declined to come look prior basing the quote solely off square footage. When moving day came, many comments were made about how much stuff we had and they didn't think they would be able to move it all. That should not be the customer's concern as they are supposed to be the professionals and had ample opportunity (2 weeks) to come assess a proper quote and what size truck would be needed. Sure enough, we were forced to leave items because there was not enough room in the truck. This forced me to rent a truck ($400 expense) and move the items myself at a later date. When the unloading was finished, the amount due was $200 more than the quote. When I questioned that, they said it was 'more than they planned for' which again seemed like an unprofessional error on their part. I can't do more than calling twice prior to moving date asking if they want to come look at it to give an accurate quote. The day of move-in, we started the washer and flooded our laundry room. The repairman came and pointed out a broken external piece that was caused by a 'heavy impact'. I called to question First Choice about this and they responded that they don't cover this type of thing. Even after explaining that it worked the day before move, the repair man wrote a report that a heavy impact broke the housing piece and that it didn't work just hours after they left, they denied any responsibility. The repairs there cost me $350. So while First Choice did have the cheapest quote, once you tack on the $950 in expenses incurred from either their lack of planning or damage to your property that they ignored or refused to take responsibility for, one would be much better off opting for other competitors. Very disappointed in First Choice Relocation Movers. I used them to help me move and considering the cost and my budget, moving efficiently was very important to me. They charge by the time and I felt like they dragged it out longer than it should have taken. Their moving truck has a lift that took forever to go up and down and that ate up a great deal of time. Abe was also on the phone with his girlfriend at least 10 times. I told him time was my priority and he argued with me that he was being extremely careful with my furniture surfaces, surfaces which are already in need of refinishing and had already had boxes stacked on top of them from the previous movers. My experience with this mover was similar to other reviewers as to price and service except that for me there was damage in the form of an ugly gash to the tabletop of my antique dining set. Accidents happen and they said they had an excellent refinisher who could restore it to condition. I'm sure he was excellent but what he said was he couldn't restore without refinishing entire tabletop and what he did was repair with wax crayons. I partly blame myself for accepting what was basically a cover up. Why I accepted that I don't know but for four years, every time I polish the beautiful burl wood top it makes me feel ill. If someone else had warned me they certainly would not have been my "first choice". I'm sure that if you have inexpensive furniture and want a good deal, they are a perfectly adequate "cheap choice" but if your belongings have value you might want to check with Two Men and a Truck or another mover that has insurance that will adequately cover potential damage read more

Nightmare! Worst experience I have ever had with any company! Please do not do business with these unscrupulous people! They will scam you anyway they can. I had a Groupon for 8 hours/$249, I agreed to a third man so they could get things done faster. My first mistake, because of this third man I paid $568/5 hours! Two of the movers did all the work, the third did very little and appeared to be working when in fact he was walking all over my new house, every room and closet, just looking at things. Even my son-in-law commented on the fact that "he looked like he was checking the place out"He even made a comment about my Thomas Kinkad picture hanging on the wall. Then due to unforeseen circumstances my check didn't clear the bank, I was mortified and wanted to right the situation immediately so I took cash to their office to straighten out my account. Unfortunately I had worked the night before, and I had only slept for about an hour, so I wasn't thinking straight and didn't get my check back. They ran my check through the bank again! I had now paid them twice and that hadn't even moved everything I wanted moved. I was going to have to hire other movers to complete the job. Now I was fighting a battle to get my money back! The office manager kept saying the money hadn't cleared their bank, although it was taken out of mine 4 days earlier. Finally I filed a complaint through my bank for unauthorized transactions.
