Review Part 1: We used First Choice Limo for our wedding day. We got married at our church in Maynard, MA and our reception was at Harrington Farm in Princeton, MA. We utilized their services for a limo for the wedding party to get from the getting ready location to the church and again from the church to the reception. We also utilized their services for a guest shuttle from the hotel to the reception for cocktail hour and after the reception back to the hotel. First Choice Limo was quick to reply to my initial inquiry via The Knot and any additional queries I had after booking up until the big day. Anyone I spoke to over the phone was very friendly. They worked with us for the services we were looking for and worked with our budget as we were inquiring about two different services. We were happy we could find a company that allowed us to get both a limo and shuttle to transport guests for a reasonable price. It was hard to find a company that allowed a guest shuttle to be used for the beginning of cocktail hour and post-reception transportation back to the hotel without charging us an arm and a leg for the entire duration from the start of first pick up, even though we didn't need services during the actual reception. We were super thankful that First Choice Limo allowed a 4-hour shuttle service to be split 2 hours for cocktail hour drop off and 2 hours for hotel drop off as paying for 6-7 hours would have been unnecessary money spent while the driver sat and waited for the reception to end. In our contract, we had a 16-passenger Lincoln Navigator and an older Cadillac Escalade arrived. Not a big deal to us because we got from point A to point B with no issues, but it not the vehicle we had purchased. Phil was our limo driver. He was dressed professionally, in a suit, and was very polite. The limo was clean, had celebratory champagne, water, soda, and red carpet service. Phil knew back roads from our church to the reception venue as our wedding was a Friday afternoon and we knew there would be rush hour traffic on Route 2 during that time. Horrible old H2 vehicle with visible damage in and out. Don't use on a hot humid day because the AC barely works only closer to the driver bc as you get closer to the back the air is much warmer. The vehicle smelled of urine and wasn't as advertised to say the least....horrific experience for my 50th surprise bday party that my wife paid out to have 16 to 20 of us....had to scream and yell or bang on window divider for driver to hear us... they gave us an extra hour, and the driver was supposed to tell the ownership how horrible the drive was from Leicester to Boston on the first leg of the trip and couldn't stop apologizing.... But that is about where the customer service ended. We had a rain storm in Boston as we were leaving and it took us 3-4 hours to get home.... My wife spoke to a customer service representative several times who didn't follow back up and never had the owner call us to rectify the situation she planned a surprise party for months and on the way to Boston I sat in the very back in the window sweating, and had my shirt off for the whole ride as not to sweat through my shirt, that's why I was dripping down my temple. They called a week and a half later to state there would be no refund of any kind and that it was our problem. Thankfully I had shorts on but the people that were sweating down their legs had pants on as we were going out to a show and dinner in Boston. I've never been so uncomfortable in my life and couldn't leave the situation. The TVs didn't work, and it was remarkable to me that the entire AC couldn't be just regulated from the driver, I had to try to manipulate the upper down arrows on an old screen that was next to my elbow in the backseat that sometimes I hit the heat by accident on the way back, which made it worse because we couldn't put the windows down because it was pouring rain.... My wife explained how we've use this company several times throughout the years for various events and this will definitely be our last choice for a limousine. read more

This service was amazing. Super Luxurious Vehicle picked us up on time to drive into the Airport, and the same car brought us home after our vacation. Vehicle was immaculate, drivers were dressed neat, everything was on time, both transports worked around traffic and obstacles quickly. We were both so pleased and impressed. Horrendous and very disappointing. They were over an hour late picking us up, carpet was disgusting, it was raining and the sunroof leaked on us, champagne was old and corks broke off, mirror on ceiling was cracked, no air conditioning and it was a humid day, and it had a totally rusted step getting into the limo. Embarrassing! Asked for half my money back and they only gave me my deposit. Do not use this company. read more

I was quoted a price for a 16 passenger Lincoln Navigator and an older Cadillac Escalade showed up. Email confirmation was confusing and listed both vehicles. The escalade had the rear bumper falling off, noticeable dents along the doors and side. Inside, red duct tape was on several of the heat vents, dirty throw carpets covered the advertised "hardwood floors", the interior was extremely dirty (sand/glitter/crumbs all over seats) and was in overall very poor condition. Additionally, the following items did not work but were advertised on the company's website for being included: screens TV/DVD, stereo system, iPod dock was no where to be found, at least half of the fiber optic lights, strobe lights, external strobes, built-in fireplace, and privacy screen. Additionally, none of the power outlets worked. The trip began and a wall screen encasement fell off the wall, exposing ducts and wires. The driver stopped and tried to fix it but kept falling. We, the passengers, duct taped it to the window. A little while later, a second encasement fell and hit a passenger on the head, again duct taped to window but both fell several more times during the trip. The driver stopped for gas and snacks on the way (we did not ask him to) and on the way home was swerving all over the highway. Contact was made with the company to report these issues and a small refund of $325 was given (total bill was $1,860 they include 20% gratuity). We believe they knowingly sent a vehicle not fit for the road and put our safety in danger. Their website picture and description of the escalade vehicle is false advertising since it looks nothing like it and has none of the features listed. They also bait and switched when a price for a different vehicle (navigator) was quoted and appeared on the confirmation email but sent an obvious lesser limo in it's place. read more

First Choice Limousine, will now not even be my LAST Choice... We had booked a limo for a bachelorette party, Stan our driver showed up late to pick up us, the back of the WRONG Limo was only blowing HEAT and no radio or Bluetooth in the back... Stan took 45 min to figure out how to "fix" it, well after 45 min, we finally convinced him to just turn it off, as we were now going to be an hour late for our reservations. Stan asked us for help backing out of the driveway, and asked the girls to let him know when it was safe, despite saying it wasn't he started to go anyways. Eventually we got on the road, but Stan pulled off the road to ensure he had the correct directions. Stan was not a safe driver, talked on his flip phone the entire time, swearing up a storm, swerving up a storm, hitting rumble strips, and having the white lines under the the limo, numerous people beeped at us on our way there. After numerous members of our bridal party refused to get back in the limo with Stan again, we called the company. Kristin was very genuine, and was going to work something out, however the negative experience ruined the evening for the bachelorette night out and many wished to just go home. An Uber was ordered and took half of the bachelorette party home, the other half called Stan to come pick us up, as we could not wait until 12:30 for the other driver the company arranged for to pick us up. Stan answered the phone with "what's the issue, I heard you called the office" in a very angry and unprofessional manner. Stan only wanted to "talk to the bride to be" which was not going to happen, as she had already got in an Uber to return to the home. Stan picked us up, took his bow tie off, shirt untucked, and was very frustrated with us. He did not use his phone on the way back, however did swerve and got us into a near head on collision, where the car going the other direction had to drive off the road and laid on their horn. Needless to say we were glad to be back, alive much earlier than expected. After talking with the company, explaining all that had happened, they were not following thru with their end of the communication. In the end, they issued a small portion of the cost as a refund. This is quite disappointing, near death experiences, unprofessional behavior, the wrong limo, Limo that only blew heat and no radio/Bluetooth, and lack of the company for making it right. read more

I ordered the ultra-stretch Cadilac Escalade for a 6-hour celebration ride to a favorite restaurant in the North End of Boston (960.00 with built-in Gratuity). The driver was on time and was pleasant. He was a bit intimidated by the vehicle size and remarked on it. He stated that he was a school bus driver, and honestly, this car was just about as long as a school bus. I chose this vehicle due to wanting to have more room for seven passengers, but the seats were so close together, and the car was pretty narrow. Some controls on the vehicle did not work, such as the privacy glass between the driver and passengers. The driver was able to control the glass, but we could not; the vehicle also had a dent near the door in the car. As this is one of their flagship vehicles, I would have thought no physical damage would be immediately apparent. Before departure, The driver recommended other restaurants in the area that he had heard from his friend were good. The driver said that he could not bring us to the restaurant we chose due to the road being closed. It was not a problem for our crew as we all agreed to walk as it was not that far from the drop-off (we did not see any indication the road was closed, but streets are narrow in N.E. of Boston). My only issue with the trip was that we had purchased the car for 6 hours, but he had us back in my driveway after only 5 hours. We were hoping to come back after the entire 6 hours, relax a little more, enjoy a drink, and see some Christmas lights. My other issue was I chose a lousy car. I think the ten-passenger Chrysler 300 would have had more width/room, a better layout, and about 300.00 less expensive. I'm cutting the driver a break cause I did not specifically say do not bring us home early... but that is a lot of money to leave on the proverbial pavement :). My other minor issue is they make you pay the gratuity upfront in the pricing...no incentive for the driver to be engaging , professional, etc. I would use it again, but this experience could have been better! read more

Had used this service for years, no problems. In September booked a ride and was promised that the driver would wear a mask. Mind you this is the law in MA that livery drivers and passengers are required to mask up. We had to argue with the driver to get him to wear a mask. He was also the first driver to not come to the door and offer help with our bags. We wrote the owner an email. No response. To be fair, our return trip with a different driver, was absolutely fine. Very pleased with First Choice. We needed a limo for 8 hours on short notice for my daughters sweet 16. Their price was very fair. Driver arrived on time and was very professional. I was very impressed at how tolerant he was of 8 teenagers blaring there music for the 2 hour trip each way. I would definitely use their service again! read more

My husband and I used First Choice Limousine for our wedding. We had the 16 passenger navigator and it was great. The driver was right on time (early in fact). The driver even fluffed my dress for me as I went down the aisle so my train would be perfect! A bottle of champagne was provided, and the driver was happy to open the extra bottles we brought too. I do have some complaints though. At least one, maybe two, of the champagne glasses was dirty. We had enough others to use but if the limo was full someone would have been without a glass. Also the decanters for other alcohol (even though we didn't use them) were also dirty and it looked gross. read more

Terrible company. We ordered there H2 limo for a sweet 15. Limo showed up a half hour late. We had 15 kids, girls all with fresh make up and hair done boys with 3 piece tuxedos on a 88 degree day and the limos AC not working. Radio didn't work either. Called the company to try to get some of a refund and got the total run around. My wife called three times and never got a call back from the owner. The last time she called the woman she already talked to a few hours before acted like she had no idea who she was or the reason she was calling. The company started off agreeable & worked out a price for my daughter & her boyfriend to celebrate their birthday with their friends on a night out in a limo for 20-25 people. A $400 deposit was left on my credit card account & the balance was paid in full to the driver (in cash) BEFORE the limo left the driveway. After 5 hours out they arrived back tipped the driver cash $160 for 5 hours!! ( who told them the did not have too) then told them they shorted him $100!!! The next day my card was charged another $85.... Bothers me that a driver can take money from and NOT inform the party BEFORE leaving there's a problem!! The one thing I would recommend about this company is Sherry - she was wonderful over the phone giving information, and was always quick with emails and questions. The quality of the service of this company is NOT worth the money. We booked months in advance for my wedding, a 16 person stretch Cadillac. The vehicle showed up with a huge dent on the side, and the AC was not working well (my wedding was in mid-August in New Hampshire - AC was important). We had 14 people in the vehicle so you can imagine that we needed to have some good airflow, especially since our bridal party was hanging out for an hour in the limo having a few drinks while my husband and I took photos with the photographer. My brothers asked several times to the driver to turn the AC up, but the problem was not solved. By the time we returned to the limo, everyone was very hot and uncomfortable and not happy to be sitting in the heat for so long. When I called to discuss the issues following the wedding, the owner told Sherry to tell us that 1) the dent was not something they could fix last minute (which is fine, I understand, but at least a heads up or discount up front would have been nice...) and that 2) the AC doesn't work in the limo when the limo is idling. I'm sorry - we were paying over $1200 for a few hours of using the limo, the limo should have been on and using gas in order to keep our guests comfortable - this was part of the contract we signed. He said that the limo "had to be moving" in order for the AC to work. This is extremely disappointing especially because I had mentioned that the bridal party would be in the limo while we took photos, and it goes without saying that we wouldn't want them to be sweating for an hour while waiting. I am not one to call or complain about services, but I was disappointed that the company was reluctant to give any type of refund, and after several phone calls they finally offered a minimal refund. We reserved an 8 passenger stretch limo. Our needs grew to 10 people, so we requested a larger vehicle. It was between a 10 person strech limo or a 14 passenger " van." My mistake is choosing "van." Our thought was " more space, captains chairs, etc." It was an actual passenger van like that a plumber would use. It did not come close to seating 14 people, and was more expensive. It was beat down. 8 people were squished as the back row seating was pulled out. When passenger 9 and 10 came into the van, I had to sit in the front seat. The driver was nice and rolled with it. I communicated my displeaure directly to First Choice and did not hear anything back from the company. I own not clarifying "van" but I thought when we "upgraded" from a limo to a "van" it would be a limo van. I am still shocked they even sent it to pick us up. My friends couldn't believe it as well. I utilized First Choice Limousine to transport my mother to Boston for a high profile charity event and I wanted to make certain everything was perfect for her. I reserved a sedan approximately two weeks earlier to ensure I received the vehicle I wanted, which is the standard black Lincoln Town Car. Unfortunately, on the day of the pickup, I was disappointed to see a gray Ford Taurus sitting in my driveway. Not wishing to cause an issue at that time, I waited until the following Monday to contact the company and notify them of my displeasure and asked to have the owner contact me. A few days later I received an email reply from the manager, not the owner, who apparently refused to contact me. The email stated "We were overrun with work Sunday afternoon & the schedule was not adjusted to insure a Lincoln Town Car not the Taurus that was sent for your Mother's pick up. A Lincoln Town car was originally assigned for your job. There is no excuse. I am somewhat embarrassed by what happened". Supported by this admission I requested a refund for 50% for the car, and stated that the driver should keep the entire gratuity. Several days later I received a reply from the manager who informed me that the owner of the business, Dan, is not willing to compensate for the vehicle being other than a Lincoln Town Car and the service was provided in a timely fashion in a new, clean vehicle and that should suffice. As a business owner myself I was appalled at their lack of customer service. I had used them in the past with decent results, however they have definitely lost a customer at this point. Had they made some attempt to work with me on this issue or had the owner taken five minutes out of his schedule to call me this could have been a managed issue. Driver Chris was on time to and from and touched base w/ parents before leaving for the prom.and made sure everyone had his contact info He indulged the kids' music choices and was very professional. What a mistake to use this service! Arranged transport in July for an October wedding. Paid at time of booking service. Driver arrived on time which is the only good thing I can say. He took wedding party from hotel to venue and then left. We had 50 guests waiting at hotel for the shuttle to being them to the venue. The stress and aggravation during that time will not be forgotten. Guests called taxis ( this was in Waltham MA, not a city with numerous cabs available) and other guests went to the hotel to shuttle. When we called the company the following Monday, resisted any refund. Wanted us to stay at a hotel they also own. Unreliable and dishonest. The only unpleasant memory of a beautiful day. read more

Ive used first choice a few times this summer, and they've been nothing short of amazing. They're extremely professional and friendly, and it doesnt hurt that they're nice on your wallet as well:-). The reason for this review is mainly because I just have to say how wonderful our driver Dave was. He wasn't ever a minute late to any of our destinations. He always made sure that I knew where he was going to be if we needed him. When I called he came right away. He was extremely kind and comfortable to be around. He even had no problem getting some creep to leave us alone. He was our driver, but we all genuinely appreciate how he went above and beyond for us. My wife and I had this for our wedding, the driver was absolutely rude, he was an hour and 45 minutes early and kept rushing my wife saying that she was late for her own wedding (which she was not). She forgot to put on her necklace and earrings because every 5 minutes he'd bang on the door or the window. So when they arrived at the church we had the ceremony and he came into the church trying to rush everyone to the venue because he had another wedding after ours. He was so up the wedding party's butt that he is in our pictures!!! He was not in the tux but just a sweater and slacks we were promised he'd be in a tux. He also broke the bustle on my wife's dress because of the way he forcefully pushed her into the Limo and had his foot on the dress and also loosened her veil so that it fell off minutes into the reception. He sped away so fast that we couldn't even take pictures getting out of the limo. When the company was called and told all of this they merely took away his 40$ commission and didn't offer any sort of refund. Do not use this company! read more

No complaints about the service - our car was waiting upon our arrival. My issue is with the lack of clarity relative to how much I would be charged. I received a quote of $140 for a one way trip from Logan Airport to the Groton, MA area, but was surprised when my credit card was charged for $170. I called First Choice and was told by a representative and the owner that there was an added charge because I did not meet my driver until after midnight. The following is stated on the reservation confirmation: *** FLIGHTS ARRIVING BETWEEN MIDNIGHT & 4 A.M. ARE ASSESSED A $25 LATE NIGHT FEE *** My flight arrived at about 11:45 pm, so I did not think I would be charged a "late arrival" fee as it arrived prior to midnight. Had I known I would be charged the added fee, I would have made other arrangements. If you are on a flight that is scheduled to arrive late and understanding what you will be charged is important to you, recommend confirming total cost before booking. read more

When I was picked up, despite the fact that our driver, Dave, was late, we got into a very nice limousine and was taken to my location without a problem. We took multiple stops, and it was very smooth. However, getting home was, different, to say the least. We had to drop a lot of passengers off, and an abundance of us lived far away from each other. The first drop off was smooth, but after the second drop off Dave shouted back "How do I get to the next persons house?!" in a rather stern tone. Despite the fact that Dave had been provided with everywhere he needed to stop, him and his flip phone were unable to navigate us to our destination. Unfortunately, Dave lacked the intelligence to realize that the destinations were on opposite sides of the town, possibly due to the fact that he did not have a GPS, and shouted "Do you even know where you live?!" to one of the passengers. What ended up happening was that the passenger who's birthday it was had to take out his phone and guide Dave to the next destination. It was appalling that this happened, and the fact that Dave was extremely unpleasant about his mistake. That is why I have rated this two stars. read more

First Choice Limousine is an unethical organization. They financially took advantage of my elderly parents. After I corresponded with First Choice for a quote, I never actually secured a reservation. I even sent a courtesy email indicating that I didn't require their services. Despite this, two days later, they sent a chauffer to my parents' home. Because I had secured a reservation with another limo company, my parents were confused when two limos arrived. I instructed them to go with the other company and they did. But, the chauffer from First Choice asked for their credit card because there was 'no credit card on file.' Well, there was no credit card on file because I never secured a reservation. So, despite not having a reservation and not utilizing their services, they charged my parents $175. We have made several attempts to get a credit and have not received a response. My parents are 80+. They were confused and did not have all the information surrounding the situation. First Choice took advantage of the situation and will not correct it. All of you Yelp members are educated and you who have a choice in which limo company to select. I encourage you to not select First Choice Limo and their unethical, despicable practices. read more
