The wait time was horrid, but it's the best haircut I've ever had. Will definitely go back.

My first two appointments were amazing, but then my stylist, Stacey, left the salon so I saw…read moreanother junior stylist Amanda. I had blonde (admittedly quite brassy) highlights from another salon and wanted to dye my hair silver. I showed the stylist photos on my phone of the colour that I wanted and had booked an appointment for a full colour. After suggesting an ombre (which I obviously did not want) Amanda suggested highlights (which I didn't want but she insisted that my hair would look better that way). The whole experience was a disaster. I paid for olaplex and it wasn't left in long enough, Amanda had another appointment that she didn't know about so the receptionist kept coming up to her and complaining about how the man had been waiting for 15mins. There was filming going on in the salon that day so it was chaotic and the owner, Darlene, kept coming up to tell me how pretty my hair was (which I couldn't see without my glasses on) or to yell at Amanda for making the other customer wait or for mixing up too much hair dye and then Darlene would freak out about how Amanda shouldn't have been talking about those things in front of customers. Amanda had to constantly ask others for their opinion or how something should be done. I asked her what colours of toner she used (after she asked like 3 stylists and had just mixed it) and she told that it was "too scientific and I wouldn't understand". Amanda wouldn't let me leave the chair until I said "I love it" instead of just "I like it and need to see it in natural light". I had shampoo left in my hair so I couldn't even enjoy the blowout afterwards as it irritated the back of my neck. Amanda was lovely and so sweet, but very young and inexperienced. I ended up posting on instagram about how disappointed I was with my cut and colour and (once I tagged dk envy) I ended up getting a call back (on Christmas Eve, so not the right time to be calling). And after talking for 30mins about my hair complaints we had booked another appointment to have my hair recoloured. My stylist was an hour late for the appointment, other customers were being updated on their wait time if their stylist was running behind, I was once asked what time my appointment was-after about 45mins of waiting, but that was it.When I finally met with the stylist she had a lot of attitude and obviously did not want to be dealing with me. She took me over to the opposite side of the salon from everyone else to make me tell her what I didn't like about my hair...again. She even told me that my hair wasn't brassy and that my hair didn't stay gray because it fades quickly and I hadn't been using a purple shampoo (which I had been, I even had a Gray specific conditioner). Talking about my hair was awkward as Amanda was in the salon and kept coming over to check on me and to apologize, and knelt down and put her hands on my lap. I understand the sentiment there but I'm a quiet and closed off person (which is super obvious from meeting me) so the entire encounter felt rather awkward. Olaplex was not used (or even offered) and after she now dried my hair she asked if I wanted it straightened or curled and when I said curled she commented that she wouldn't have to help clean up the salon since it would take so long (after she was an hour late). She also said that Amanda had just been overwhelmed since o have so much hair (as if that was my fault). And lastly, she asked me to remove my posts from instagram (which I obviously didn't do).

Went in for a simple cut. My hair was more than halfway down my back, almost to my waist and to the…read morebase of my breasts in front. I told her that I just wanted a few inches off and cleaned up a bit as I had just been pulling my hair forward and cutting it so it needed evening out and cleaned up a bit. I said I like it a bit shorter in the front and curved longer toward the back and not a straight blunt cut. I should have known something was up when she didn't show me in a mirror what it looked like. She chopped at least 8 inches off the back and even more in the front. My hair in the front is at the level of my first rib and my hair in the back is not even to my bra strap. Brittany did not listen to a word of what I said and I have had this problem at this salon before but not near as bad. It will take me YEARS to grow my hair back to the length it was!!! This is why I am very hesitant to even go to hair dressers!!! You pay $100.00 for them to chop all your hair off!!!!

Not happy with the results. Went to see Amir for blonde highlights, told him I want to go back to…read morebleach blonde. I had highlights/lowlights done last summer which darkened the overall look of my hair and I decided I liked being lighter. He did tell me at the start of the appointment that it would take two visits to get me as light as I want, but he could've done a lot more for me in one appointment. He put a "full head" of foils on my roots, but did not put any highlight in the body of my hair. He also over-toned it to a very boring and blah shade of beige. During the visit he asked if I could help put his foils together which is not really a huge deal, but if I'm paying close to 200$ for my hair I would like to feel pampered not doing work. He also got one of his students to wash my colour out, and she was quite awful at it as half of my foundation on my face was gone afterwards. I seen no change in my hair after the appointment, was a complete waste.

Amir was so amazing. He is so friendly, kind and generous with his services. I was able to brighten…read moremy ombre, get a new set of highlights, create more depth on my roots and he did a protectant treatment on my hair too to protect it from breakage for such a reasonable price. The colour turned out amazing, and the quality of my hair to this day is still so smooth and soft. Will definitely be returning!
