At first glance, the main "DJ" (Marcel) talked up all the things he would do to really bring the wedding together. The reason I say "DJ" in quotes is because he was never the one choosing the music the actual day of the wedding but rather brought along his guys, even though he had said that he does really well at reading the crowd and seeing when they are feeling the music. He hyped up about playing all this type of specific music at the wedding and the actual day of played songs that were never even requested. Keep in mind he makes sure to request songs ahead of time from you because that will be the only set list he will pull from but somehow played music we never requested to be put on that so called limited "set list". He replayed one song about three times throughout. EVEN WORSE, he continually would make unnecessary comments to the wedding coordinator and felt the need to speak to the maid of honor in such a arrogant sarcastic manner. It got to a point that the coordinator had to speak to him on the side to make sure to adjust his attitude. Lastly, it seemed nice at first but he fabricated a lot of what he says about the bride and groom whilst making announcements. After about the fourth lie, it got quite annoying especially as the bridal party knew that none of the things were true. He continually forgot the brides name although we had paid for an expensive TV screen that displayed for the bride and grooms names to be displayed. This review is long overdue. I met Marcel at QC's when my daughter and I attended the Quincanera Expo. I recall going back to the banquet room he was in and I really liked that he not only spoke to me, he also took the time to speak to my daughter. I knew he was the one I wanted for her Sweet 16. A year later, I reached out to him and WOW...he was not only professional but there is something about Marcel that makes you feel like family. He welcomed us to his home to go over the music we liked. He included my daughter by asking her for a list of music she wanted played as well. On the day of our event, so many of our guests complimented us on Marcel and the music. He was our MC and really just added that little extra special to the Sweet 16. I was really surprised and will forever be grateful for a few surprises Marcel and my daughter added to the program without me knowing. They added a special dance with my mom (grandma) and a dance with me and my daughter to our favorite song. I cried when I heard the song play and when I was asked to join my daughter on the dance floor. Marcel will forever be my go to person for all of our events to come. This is the first time I have ever posted on Yelp and I would not be posting something unless It was worth posting. We hired Marcel for our Wedding that was held at Calamigos Equestrain Center in Burbank. I can't say enough how thankful and happy we were to have found Marcel. Our Wedding was on September 7,2013 and to this day, we have people tell us how much fun they had at our wedding and how great and memorable it was. We give a lot of that credit to Marcel!!! He kept the party going the whole night. There were people danicing on the floor that would normally never dance. In our first meeting, Marcel took the time to get to know us and even helped us picked "our song". He was not only our MC and DJ for the night, but he felt like a friend who genuinely cared and wanted to make sure the wedding was as perfect as it could be. We just had our wedding a couple of weeks ago, and Marcel and his team were so amazing! Music was important to us and we wanted people to dance all night, so after meeting with Marcel for the first time, we knew we had found our guy. After chatting about our musical likes/dislikes, he was able to walk us through how our day would go - not only musically, but he also really takes the time to go through a real timeline with you, which is immensely helpful. Had him play at my moms wedding. He seemed cool at first but started giving attitude and making comments. During the reception he was on his laptop the whole time working on another project while his partner did the work. I would not recommend this dj at all. Also while trying to request songs they would tell me that they didn't bring the hard drive that has "all the good songs on it." Why would you only take the drive with only the bad songs? My sister's wedding was held on June 20th, 2015 and I hired Marcel of First Choice DJ's as the DJ / MC for that evening a couple of months in advance. It's was one of the best decisions I made in preparation for my sister's wedding. I met with Marcel only a few months before our wedding(scary right), but he was great! In the initial meeting he was able to read me like a book and went through his extensive musical library to get the flow of what I wanted. He was able to mix our taste with our families taste into this big party. It was great, he was reasonable and definitely recommendable. Our first meeting he gave me great ideas and a general idea of how things should flow. The next meeting he my wife and I spent hours getting the right songs and the timeline right. No extra charge or rushing us through anything, he knew what he was talking about and didn't mind helping us. Did I mention he was the most affordable! Day of music was great.He was able to vary from genres and situations, including changing when dinner was supposed to be or music almost sounding like a flawless mix. Just celebrated my 50th birthday with Robert and Luis as my DJs. They were so professional from start to finish! They have an amazing selection of music and videos! My friends continue to talk about the music and how well the party flowed with the music. They loved putting in a request for their favorite song and minutes later their song was playing. I have given out First Choice DJs number to a few friends already. I better book them for next year to make sure they are available!! read more

I wanted to make sure I left a review for this amazing team who were our wedding DJ in August. My husband and I first experienced First Choice DJs and Entertainment's music at our friend's wedding. We loved the music and vibe the whole night that we knew we would get them once it was our turn to get married. When the time finally came, we contacted Marcel, who is also the MC, to schedule a meeting. After some questions from Marcel, he knew exactly what to play for us. We wanted English and Spanish music and he had a great mix of both. He also helped us with the reception timeline, which was so helpful because we had no idea what we had to do. The day of the wedding, Marcel introduced us for the reception and kept us on schedule the entire night, which was very helpful. Marcel and his team did such a great job with the music! Our guests danced all night long, even those who don't like to dance. We love this DJ so much, that we recommended him to everyone and even had some of our engaged friends book him for their wedding.
