More repair transparency. Didn't understand exactly what they were doing and why. What's a 12 point test. Why was "extreme" anointed on my bill? I was told it referred to the 1 yr added to my battery purchase. All told, the only thing that was done was a changing of my battery. Yes they charged me for a diagnostic which I acknowledged and agreed too, but my Nextdoor neighbor put it on his machine and told me in 30 seconds that my battery needed to be replaced. All this , charged me over $ 500 . They were friendly, nice enough, but I'll have to take it next time to another shop that more clearer charges and what is is they've actually done. read more

I have been taking my car here for about 5 years. They have changed for the worse! I went for an oil change a few weeks ago, they recommended around $700 worth of work that was "needed". I took my car to my mechanic and he changed the belt that was recommended but my original belt was in great condition. 1st Choice Auto broke the clamps that hold my air filter in place. And they also did not change my oil that I paid almost $70. After a week and a half when my mechanic drained my fresh oil that they claimed to have changed, it was really dark and really thick. We are thinking they just added more oil into the oil already in my car instead of doing an oil change. Also they didn't put the correct oil for my car. I will never go there again. This is ridiculous and grimey for a company to do. I'm angry and disgusted. I have been a loyal customer here for 5 years and have never experienced this. Shame on this company for lying, deceiving, and basically stealing money from their customers. Whatever you do, do NOT bring your cars here. They will break stuff, lie to you, and half way do the work that you pay for. read more

I have been using this business for auto repairs and maintenance for years. Recently I had an AND warning light. They quoted a repair cost of over $2500.00. The greatest part of the quote was for parts-about $1900. Stunned, I decided to price the parts myself at Autozone. The result was the parts only cost $800.00!!!! While their "labor" costs seem reasonable, they rip you off on markup of parts. Total cost to get the repair done by honest mechanic was a little less than $1000.00. P.S. When I mentioned I would sell the vehicle before spending $2500+ on repairs the owner asked to buy the vehicle. Avoid this place. read more

They do not have the capability to diagnose vehicle issues by connecting computer software to the PCM. Therefore, they are not as efficient as they could be. Ultimately, they must physically get into the motor ($$$$) to discover what software could tell them in a matter of minutes. This is 2023 and I'm of the opinion that real automotive technicians should be able to take advantage of the efficiencies afforded by diagnostic software. read more

I have never in my life been so disgusted. I went into this shop at 5:25 p.m. . I'll let them know that my light was on and my car was shaking and stalling out and if they can look at it. The person in the front looked at me and said ma'am we close at 6 you can come back tomorrow. There was maybe two cars there getting serviced. I told them I was scared I wasn't going to make it home and he said ma'am I can't help you you can come back tomorrow. Even after expressing to him I just needed him to look at the light because I was scared I wasn't going to get home he wouldn't help me he was a complete jerk. From the reviews before me it shows that they have a problem with females and taking advantage of people. Just as the review before this a female stated she went and got help in the parking lot. Well I did this too and the gentleman told me it's a good thing that I didn't get them to fix my car because they are a bunch of crooks. All he had to do was look at my light at 5:25 p.m. . I do not write bad reviews but I could not let this go my feelings were hurt so bad. You don't turn customers down 45 minutes before it's time to close especially when they come to you frazzled because they're scared they won't make it home. I have taken my car here for oil changes. I noticed that my car was leaking oil. I asked the owner and he looked at it. He told me it was power steering fluid that was leaking. I went home and continued to have problems with the oil leaking in my drive way. I had a mechanic that did not work at this shop look at it and informed me that it was indeed leaking oil. When he looked at it there was no oil and it wasn't even time for an oil change. I drove to this shop. I spoke to the owner and explained to him that I had someone else look at it and they told me it was indeed leaking oil. He goes out and looks at my car. He comes in and tells me that it was leaking a little bit of oil. Of course that was a red flag to me as a woman. It was only after I told him that someone else looked at the car and saw oil leaking that he confirmed. I tell him to just go ahead and change my oil...which was oil I had to pour in it to drive it to the shop, since all the oil leaked out, but he claimed there was only a small amount leaking out. He proceeds to tell me that he will no longer service my car, because I have accused him and his stafff of messing my car up. I inquired about it twice...so he lied about the several times. I explained to him that as a customer I have every right to ask about my car if they service it and I find some thing wrong with it. I told him that it made me really uncomfortable that now that I have brought this to his attention for the second time and he knows someone outside of his shop looked at my car and was able to determine it was leaking oil he decides to cut services to me. That red flagged me and makes me feel like they may have been washing their hands by getting rid of me as a customer. Poor customer service and I felt I was very disrespected as a woman. He claims the oil leaking had nothing to do with what they have done to my car. I have NO way of knowing if that is true, because I don't know enough about cars. What I do know is that you don't cut services to a customer, because they inquire about services that were done to their car. read more

I have never been to a worse place than this. I am not terribly picky, but this Business is the worst by far.They tried to do repairs to my vehicle that I didn't ask for, or need. When I questioned them, they were very rude. I went to another facility and they confirmed that I did not need the work done that they recommended at First Choice. They are no good.... Let me start by saying we have taken our three vehicles here since they opened years ago. Within the last year their service has gone downhill. Not long ago they told me a belt needed to be changed. I paid to have it changed. After it was changed out, I started having problems with the tensioner. I took it back, and they said, "yes, your tensioner needs to be replaced". So I check their price, and then I check Honda. Honda was CHEAPER than this place. Wow! They messed my tensioner up when changing the belt, then did not want to admit to it. Anyhow, we let that go. Today my husband took his truck to have them look at it for making a scraping noise. (We think it's probably the brakes). However, they call and say the gas tank needs to be replaced, and there is a metal piece hitting your drive shaft. They want to charge over $600 for this. Luckily my husband drove by around lunchtime, and they still had it up in the shop. So he walked in to look at it. There indeed was a metal piece hitting the driveshaft which would take all of two seconds to bend back. The gas tank had a very tiny dent in it, but not enough to actually need to change out the entire thing. My husband questioned them, and they could not come up with why they were going to charge so much, and replace all of this stuff, when all that was needed was to bend the metal piece back. He told them to take his truck down, and we would take our business elsewhere. Steer clear of this place!!! I would not give this place any stars if I could, because I believe people who take advantage of others do not deserve anyone's business. read more
