My local branch is in Anahiem Hills, and like most people my banking is done outside a branch; but whenever I do need in-house service I drive to the Yorba Linda branch because everyone here is always super friendly, polite and knowledgeable. Whenever I am at the Yorba Linda branch, I remember the old banking ways. SERVICE WITH A SMILE

We visited this Bank of America branch this afternoon. There was only one teller assisting…read morecustomers, while another employee behind the counter appeared to be working on something else. Since the branch was not busy and we were not in a hurry, we were happy to wait. What surprised us was what happened next. After the second employee finished what she was doing, she stepped out into the lobby. Shortly afterward, another customer entered the branch and got in line behind us. The employee greeted him warmly in Spanish, then immediately returned behind the teller counter, removed the "Next Window Please" sign, and began assisting him. At that point, we had just reached the first teller's window after waiting our turn. We couldn't help but wonder why the second employee did not open her window to assist us while we were waiting, but chose to do so only after that customer arrived. We understand there may have been a reason that was not obvious to us, and we are not making assumptions. However, from a customer's perspective, it gave the appearance of unequal treatment or preferential service. We simply hope all customers are given the same consideration and opportunity to be helped when staff are available. Thank you for taking the time to review this feedback. This version stays respectful, avoids accusations, and clearly explains why the experience felt unfair.

They claim to be the best in the area but this kind of tactic makes one feel taken advantage of. When I made a monthly payment, i was assessed a fee and the person behind behind the counter doesn't even know what was it for and said please call the number on the card. After calling the number, the person asked if i went to the branch and i said i did because she can't provide that information over the phone. Not until I asked for a manager and started getting frustrated that she told me the most basic information as the due date in order to avoid any more late fee in the future. I will take all my business away from this institution!

She was pleasant, but a little unsure of how to go about it but she called someone for help a few times and it all got done. I mentioned that I had a check to deposit while I was there and she said she could handle that for me. She ran it through her machine, gave me a receipt and sent me on my way. She called back a few minutes later because she forgot to get a piece of vital info for the trust. A mistake, oh well,I gave it to her. No biggy. But then the following day Kelly called to tell me that the check I deposited was a foreign check from Canada. She says they don't accept foreign checks anymore. I explain that she gave me a receipt. She says,"yeah, that's on me. I guess I should have looked at the check." Hmmm. She tells me they reversed the deposit and now I need to come in and get the check. Confused, I ask if they have any suggestion on what my next step might be,she says "yeah, we don't accept those anymore." Three times at least. I say I understand and she says do you want me to see if they can make an exception for you? I reply in the affirmative. She ultimately sends me to a manager. I ask the manager if she has any recommendations to handle my issue. She says "we don't accept those anymore." Yes,I've heard that. Sigh. Any advice? She says I should open an account at a larger bank. I was dumbfounded. Change banks was their answer. Who says that? Move my money somewhere else? They accepted the check. This was not my mistake, it was their mistake. They did nothing to rectify it. The manager rattled off a few other things they don't do anymore and suggested having accounts at a larger bank might be the best option for me. AGAIN. I was so upset. I really loved this bank but this behavior is absurd and unacceptable. They are not the bank they once were.
