I…read moretried to get another one recently and was turned down because I cosigned for a $5000 loanfor a friend that failed to pay all but $1000 and I ended up paying it off, because of that situation they turned me down for the loan after being with commerce for 45 years, I even showed them that I had paid reciept for the loan, they just don't care ,wow. I am now seeking another bank, any recommendation's? I need a caring bank, or as Commerce was not. I recently sold my home ,which I owe nothing on and should realize a quite a bit of cash. Just a a side note, I do qualify for a VA Loan, so thats my situation I wouldn't recommend the Festus, Commerce bank or the home equity department because they just don't care, my FICO score is 747, which says lenders use this score, well they really don't use this they use other scores and take in nothing about the customer ,when I spoke with the crediting agencies they told me I had the highest credit rating that they had seen ,but the one agencies got me. He was patient, courteous, knowledgeable, and the type of person you'd want to welcome in your home. He spent nearly 2-1/2 hours with us going over all the benefits of the programs available and I could not wait to get home to withdraw all monies and cease all operations with Bank of America. Central Bank should be thankful for the service Jacob offered because you just don't find that level of service anywhere. We are so happy with our new bank and could not be more pleased to have met a true professional, Jacob. If you are not happy with your bank, go see Jacob and you will be happy you did so. After 22 years with BofA, they never offered me the service Jacob did nor were they as kind or considerate of my needs as Jacob.

I would never step into that location again after wasting two hours of my time to accomplish absolutely nothing. Went to the Des Peres Location instead. Day and Night difference in service. They got me taken care of in less than 5 mins with my problem resolved. This might be a joke to FC staff in Ellisville, but this is my livelihood and you guys should be ashamed of yourself and the service you provide. I walked into a couple different banks before selecting this one. I walk in and honestly interview them in my kind of way. This was the only bank that made me feel like I was at "My Bank". I will give a special thanks to Sheila and Heather. They made the transition very easy. I will also say that I am a face to face customer. I refuse to go through the drive through. I always walk in and do my business face to face. I haven't had any bad experiences there and I specifically like working with one teller that always calls me by name before I even walk up to the counter. (I wish I could remember her name, I'm very bad about that) I've had a couple issues with some bank charges and one call to Sheila and they have been taken care of.

Regarding many services, if you go into one of their locations for help, they make you instead call some number for customer service. Then for basic banking services, some days that they are open, they don't even have a teller working. But they have a goofy employee in the lobby to give you an insincere, empty greeting and tell you there's nothing they can do for you. What's the problem? They're understaffed because the good employees realize it's a crappy place to work, so they've gone elsewhere. (My wife and I have talked about the good employees of years past there who have left.). They can't handle credit card, ATM card or teller services, so the vast majority of banking transactions can't be handled by them. They don't deserve to handle your financial assets or mine.
