Glad this place is still here as I needed a place to get some hot pot meat and couldn't accept the mediocre meats downstairs at T&T. They have some real good fatty beef slices here, and if you look at it, the marbling seems just right, all pre-packaged in the morning from the people who work here (I think it is a family that works in here) the cut up things in the morning, and the packs usually come per pound, or close to it.
On this day I bought a package of fatty beef and lamb and was amazed how thinly sliced and straight the beef slices were. The lamb was seperated into two pattie like sizes, thinly sliced as well. I advised the lady working there that this was too much meat, on the lamb portion, she said just to take one side, and keep the other side frozen. There's not much, if any English signs in here, as even the meat in the freezer/fridge is in Chinese, so know what your ordering/want. If your coming for your dinner options for hot pot, just know this place doesn't open as late as T & T so if it's close, your only other option is downstairs.
They have bigger meat cuts here, hot pot soup bases, dumplings, fish balls and meat balls, frozen udon and rice cakes, and some variations of tofu. If your having a hot pot dinner, come here first then you can either go to the produce store or to T & T to pick up the remaining fixings like greens (hey what is that?). read more
