The guy at this tent was very nice though. I recommend going to the Phantom tent down the highway next to Lakeside Pools.

The other stores…read moremight be bigger, but they cannot compare with the better prices and friendly service at Firework Connection in Tiverton. The owner is so friendly and knowledgeable, and is so excited to share info on all of the fireworks, and he threw in some free items as well...such a nice touch and part of the reason you should try to help support local small businesses, you don't often get treated this well. I am so happy that i stopped in today, to get some additional fireworks to share with my dad, since he couldn't make it to our 4th of july party. I will definitely be shopping here in the future. The owner says they will remain open on weekends for the remainder of the summer. Definitely check them out, you will be happy you did.

This place sits on main street in the heart of downtown and it is loaded with tons of Fireworks including smoke bombs, sparklers and a ton of ground fireworks and tons of kits with plenty of fireworks inside. Fire in the…read more sky With the crummy economy and parsimonious town officials forced to do more with less, events like town fireworks and other community celebrations are becoming a increasing uncommon anachronistic phenomenon. Fortunately the town of South Kingstown still ignores the increasing dismal financial reports and puts on a great 4th of July celebration. The event held at Old Mountain Field included food, music, dancing and of course some impressive fireworks. Not just un flousse petit, but some huge and thunderous explosions accompanied by mesmorizing visual pyrotechnics. Quite impressive for a relatively small town. Beside things going boom in the night, the event also had a band, people dancing and of course lots of food. Many people brought there own treats and folks seemed to enjoy passing around homemade delicacies to their neighbors. Even though it was crowded and noisy everyone seemed extremely jovial and convivial and I didn't observe any obnoxious drunks or mental defectives attempting to cause trouble. Even the numerous stinky dogs seemed to enjoy themselves and added to the festivities. One interesting item was the osprey nest located right on a light pole in the middle of the field. The adult didn't seemed especially bothered by the noise and at one point even brought a huge fish back to the nest for her young to rip apart and devour. Quite entertaining to watch in a morbid sort of way. With so many towns and cities forced to cut back everything they can to mollify bean counters, it's nice to see some places still care more about the people of a community rather than some arcane numerical bottom line. This was a great celebration by some great people in a great town and a great time was had by all.

There are plenty of food vendors and there's a live orchestra on the open-air stage. Just like the pops, they play the 1812 overture and it's synchronized to the fireworks.

There were numerous stands serving fan favorites like fried dough, fries, burgers and drinks.. (typical carnival style foods). The music performance that day kind of sucked but I guess it just wasn't to my taste since everyone else seemed to like it. It was muggy and overcrowded where we were sitting and there was an approaching thunderstorm. That made the fireworks all the more enjoyable since there was flashes of light behind distant clouds as the fireworks themselves were going off. The fire works themselves weren't too shabby at all! I loved the end where they went crazy and just unloaded everything.. a good minute or two. My nieces loved the smiley faced fireworks. The reason it got four and not five stars was because it was way too overcrowded.

A great spot to catch the sunset. Always loved running up the hill for a nice jog around town and the hill is an amazing spot in the winter for sledding! The park has certainly lost some of its charm with the pool removing the diver board and closing the pool for the last handful of years. 5 baseball fields here, 3 for little league, 1 for adult league baseball & 1 softball field.

For years I've been wanting to come to Revere beach to see the sand castles in the International…read moreSand Sculpting Festival and I finally got the opportunity this year. The parking that is closer to the beach was blocked off to allow for people to walk without worrying about getting hit by a car, but this did mean that it took longer to find legal parking in the residential area. We did see a car getting towed, so please take all signs seriously. It was about a mile walk from the car to the sand castles so at one point we got worried the event was cancelled since we kept walking and walking with no castles in sight. But keep going, and they will be there. On our walk there, we passed by about 30 + food trucks, and some tents which were giving away free drinks, and snacks. The price of the food trucks were anywhere around $10-$20 so about average. I was very impressed with the artists and how much detail they were able to add to the castles. They did allow us to take a picture with one of the castles. At some points we were poking our heads and gently pushing through people to get a good view of the castles. Although I didn't get a chance to stay for them, they did have a firework show in the schedule the day I went. Although not related to the event, something I loved most about this beach is that it is so close to Logan airport that while we were there, we watched planes coming and going very close to land.

I always visit each year the festival, usually during the off hours. It is really remarkable what they can do with just sand. Never fail to be amazed. I usually look at the sand castles which won awards to see if I agree. Usually, they have made the right call. As an aside........... I always get lost cutting through Revere but it is worth the trip. I can't wait until the next one.
