They did a superb job! They covered the plants and anything else that might have gotten damaged by falling branches. The big ash looks great; perfect shaping. They had no problem adding a couple of other small items that I needed done. They cleaned up better than the yard has looked in weeks and put everything back where it was. Here and gone in less than 90 minutes. By contrast, our neighbor had a BIG redwood trimmed last summer that was right next to our fence. The tree guy just let the branches fly and they BURIED bushes and trees and other plants on our side of the fence and he didn't even come and get rid of them! He left them there for us to deal with! Besides hiring this company, I made the mistake of going into my garage and not monitoring their work. When I did check out their progress, I was shocked at what they had done to my trees. To say they had butchered them would be a compliment. They had not come close to following my instructions. I was so infuriated that I couldn't say a word because I knew the only thing that would come out of my mouth would be profanity. Shortly afterwards, I called the company and requested to speak to Matt. I was advised that he was not there and the female who I spoke to asked if she could assist me. I explained what had happened to her and requested she have Matt call me. She advised me that she would and asked me to send her photos of the trees. This all took place approximately one month ago and I am still waiting for Matt or someone else to contact me. When Matt came out to give me the estimate, he also provided a business card identifying himself as a retired Navy pilot. They do a nice job trimming trees, however, they're terrible at cleaning up. The workers left the Lakeside ponds a mess with leaves, sticks, and debris. The inability of the workers to clean up after themselves speaks to the character and integrity of the workers. The workers should take pride in their work, care for the property, and show respect for our home. Cleaning up after making a mess is just as important as trimming the trees. In the future, treat the property like it's your own home. I will not recommend California Tree & Landscape based on the mess they left behind at Lakeside. As a homeowner who pays into the Lakeside HOA, I was disappointed in California Tree and Landscape.
