Best Tree Company hands down. We have 4-5 50ft palm trees in our backyard. They were HUGE!!! Joe and the guys came in and got 13 palm trees including the 50footers in two days. We also had bunch of huge rocks that tools up the entire backyard as well. They moved those out of the way for us. These guys definitely went beyond to take care of us. What really impressed me the most is that Joe came back at 6:30pm to fix the fence that got broke while they were doing the work. Stuff happens. I had two incredibly tall, messy, rat infested palm trees in my backyard. Every other company I called said they were too tall and couldn't be removed, or they quoted an insane amount of money. Cut Rite was recommended by a friend and they gave me a quote super fast and within a week they were scheduled to come out. They got both trees down within about 3 hours, cleaned the debris from my yard and my neighbors yards, and were done before noon. I am very disappointed with my experience with Cut Rite Tree Service. I had an appointment scheduled with Joe for 11:00 AM. He arrived 20 minutes late, offered no apology, and instead stated that the appointment window was between 11:00 and 12:00. That was not the case, the appointment was explicitly set for 11:00. I explained upfront that I needed to get a couple estimates for my company, who will pay for the work, before making a decision. I couldn't commit on the spot. Despite that, Joe proceeded to mark several of my trees with blue paint, apparently as markers for his crew. Painting a homeowner's trees without a signed agreement is inappropriate and unprofessional. Joe was also unable to provide an estimate on-site, stating that he would email it to me. I immediately texted him my email address. After waiting a couple of days with no response, I followed up by text. I could see that the message was read almost immediately, yet I received no reply and no estimate. To this day, I never received anything. So in summary: * Late arrival with no apology * Blue paint left on my trees * No estimate provided despite a follow-up * No communication after reading my message I will be reporting this experience to the Better Business Bureau. At this point, I would hope Cut Rite Tree Service at least offers to send a qualified arborist to remove the paint from my trees. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this company. read more

First to get back to me and the best estimate. Needed a dead tree next to the house removed and two very tall trees trimmed. Crews were efficient and worked fast. Their bucket truck made short work of our tall trees. Only complaint was they took out a 30yo rosemary bush next to the driveway. The tree service performed on my tree was good, but the professionalism of the company was terrible! When they did the tree in my front yard my neighbor came out and talked with Joe. Long story short my neighbor hired the company to remove 2 trees from his backyard. Joe asked if it would be a problem if they came in through my backyard to reach the trees. I agreed to let them. Got up early the next morning pulled the travel trailer out so they could access the trees. They came in with heavy equipment, crane, and small loader. Joe was there at the time the job started and assured me there would be no damage to my property. When the job was completed I tested the front and backyard sprinklers and noticed 2 of the back sprinkler hoses had been ripped off I'm guessing while pulling the limbs from the backyard to the front to be loaded. Also, my miniature lemon tree was destroyed by a branch hitting and breaking the main branch of the tree near the stump. I sent several texts with pics to Joe, also many phone calls. Up until now no response! Not a way to run your business. The tree and sprinklers I had to replace myself and was only about $45 total, but at least reply to my messages or answer my calls! Joe and his team did a fantastic job. We had 2 large trees and a number of smaller trees. They were professional from start to finish. I was surprised to see how fast they took down the large trees and how thoroughly they cleaned up. We had multiple other bids but Joe was the best price. Also, they were the only company that pointed out they are licensed and insured which is important when taking large trees down right next to my home! We have a very large eucalyptus. We had them quote removing it but ended up not taking it out. Cut it right was the only company that could even provide a quote for the eucalyptus. I wish I would have hired them sooner! They were so quick and efficient. From the initial contact, Joe was amazing to work with!! He scheduled us quickly. The guys showed up on time and worked quickly. They removed three trees, trimmed our palms, removed an old stump, moved two large plants, and removed lots of extra bushes (all before lunch). Removed two massive pines and did so in a very safe manner; damage to surrounding landscaping was minimal and actually not as bad as I expected. Cut it Right did a great job removing a bunch of overgrown shrubs and from our property. They were fast, they ground down all the stumps. Knocking one star because if the owner hadn't been there, some things would have been overlooked. I contacted the owner of this business, he came out twice, and estimated the job. The job was eucalyptus tree and stump removal, oleander removal, a pine tree, and scrub tree were to be removed and a willow tree laced as well. Half way through the job he balked, saying he wasn't going to make any money on this job. What I have now is oleaders growing plentiful and strong. Eucalyptus suckers all over, some of the stumps were not removable, but I was assured they would not grow back due to treatment of the stumps. A black walnut tree was taken, the explanation was it was in the way, there apparently was no stump treatment or removal because I have just spent the better part of the morning cutting those suckers. I would give no stars for rating, but yelp doesn't permit it. Beware. read more

They took out a huge, gnarly mulberry tree. The thing was a beast. It reminded me of the Incredible Hulk, all green and mean, and ready to burst through a thick BRICK fence in our back yard!!! It only took them a few hours. Their price to remove it was very reasonable. We were given a quote of twice that, so we were happy they did it for MUCH less. Joe and his wonderful crew just left after removing 5 trees (4 were good size redwoods). They did an amazing job especially considering the narrow space they had to work with. Most of the trees were in a narrow flower bed between our pool and fence. He was able to keep the debris to a minimum and what was left, they cleaned it so well, it was cleaner than when they got here. They were all professional, courteous, and very efficient. The price was very fair and lower than companies we called that weren't even licensed like Cut It Right. Oh man I did so much research when finding the right guys to take down our 90ft pine tree that had a double head and was leaning towards my neighbors roof and above ours! I spoke with Joe and he was very confident in his men and told me I need to make sure whoever I go threw they have to have insurance becuz of the damage this tree could cause I like that he was more concern about me getting it done with proper care then just trying to get the job! The owner of this business has no business talking to clients. His client services skills is less than subpar. He treated me like a second class citizen and said, "we don't communicate with the renters." He seemed surprised that, I, a WOMAN could even question his business. I can't even explain how "less than" this guy thinks I am to him. His guys took down 4 very large trees. I called him with a concern about his guys leaving 5 dead birds on the lower part of my fence. My children found them, my toddler could have picked one up! My 7 year old literally cried and we had to have a "funeral" for them and bury them. When I called Joe to let him know I would have preferred his guys let me know about the dead birds so I could be sure my kids wouldn't find them, he just made excuse after excuse. "Oh well, my guys were probably just tired and forgot about them." "Oh well, the birds were probably still alive and my guys set them on the fence to see if the mother would come get them." (Birds don't 'come to get' their baby birds.) "Oh well, they probably thought you weren't home." (They came to my door several times to communicate with me, they knew I was home. My son saw a nest laying on the grass and wanted me to ask them if there was anything in the nest. The guy's response was, "yes, one baby bird, we fed him to the stray cats." Ummmmm, really. WOW.) "How were we supposed to know there were going to be birds in your trees." (You cut down trees for a living and you don't think there is a chance that there could be birds in TREES?) Ridiculous. All I was looking for was for the owner to take accountability. Perhaps by saying something like, "Oh, I'm sorry about that, I understand how that could be traumatizing or dangerous for your children. I'll talk to my guys." He never once said, "I understand." or "Sorry about that." He argued with me for 17 minutes and never once showed an ounce of understanding for my concerns. In fact he told me he has a toddler and wouldn't have minded if his toddler would have found the dead birds and picked them up. I seriously doubt that. There is so much more, but I'll spare you those details. Joe told me he would check with his guys and get back to me that evening. I accepted that response as I thought an apology or at least understanding would come with that phone call. It is now 10 days later, still no call. Joe, newsflash: I know 'renters' are beneath you, but the reason you were hired for this big job was because I, the RENTER, wanted those trees gone. They also damaged the fence, destroyed my child's sunflower garden, and broke some of our play equipment. read more

I had them come out and remove a mulberry tree and trim trees off of my fence line. To no fault of their own the option I went with was poisoning the root of the tree. Due to extenuating circumstances once again no fault of Cut It Right Tree Service they weren't able to use the stronger of the poisons because of a puppy that could possibly get into it. A few months later that mulberry tree began to grow back. I contacted Joe and he was out within an hour or so and grinded the tree stump out with no charge.
