I was out of country working when my neighbor contacted me about a large eucalyptus branch that broke off of my tree near the road. It caught up in another tree, commonly known as a widow maker. We recently hired Travis Tree Service to remove a few large dead branches from our 100-year-old Evergreen. The situation was urgent as one of the branches broke off and got wedged precariously in the below branches ... right above the sidewalk. I made a call last Saturday, and Travis picked up. The quote I requested was far more than what I could afford. I sent an email on September 12th, canceling the appointment that they had scheduled for October 23rd. Today I received a text saying they were coming out. Thinking that they had the wrong person, I texted back that they had the wrong number. A woman then called me and said that I had scheduled an appointment. When I said I didn't, she proceeded to rudely chastise me and argue with me for not getting back to them to cancel, basically calling me a liar. Found these guys through Google review and could not be happier with the job they did! We arranged a consultation visit and they were able to return in 2 days to get the job done! One of the trees in our front yard was leaning to the house since it was getting pushed by a smaller tree. The crew came prepared and completed the trim service in about 40 minutes (our estimate time was for 1-2 hours). On top of that, I asked if they could trim a couple of trees in the back, and they were very happy to do so. He gave a good deal on that quote as well. Everything done and all cleaned up messed free. The owner is every knowledgeable and was explaining to me about a couple of other trees that may need future pruning as well. When a tree falls late in the evening it absolutely makes a sound!! We had a large tree come crashing down just before 6pm. There was no way I could take care of it myself so I started looking here for help. Not only was Travis' one of the first to respond (less than 5 minutes), his fair quote beat many of the others. Oh I forgot to mention that the quote was for full removal first thing in the morning. I woke up early, and just as it struck 8am Travis and his crew were here and ready to go. We requested Travis tree company to top and trim trees, while here Travis approached us and said that three other trees should be removed to promote growth and health of adjacent trees. We agreed on the price to remove three trees taking the gentleman at his word. After removing three trees he cut groves in the stumps and instructed and showed us to pour round up in the groves of stump so it would not grow back. We poured the straight round up with his assistance and since we have the adjacent trees we were trying to make healthy dying. We have contacted Travis tree numerous time to get an opinion if the trees will bounce back or what can we do only to get told by receptionist they don't have an arborist on staff but she would have Travis call us. He never has to this date so we are going to start here and then follow up later we are guessing with small claim court unless you have a better solution?
